  • Is there a Delphi dropdown notification component?

    You know how in Firefox, if something happens that requires your attention but isn't immediately urgent enough to require a modal dialog, it will drop down a little strip at the top of the tab with a question on it? I'd like to be able to put functionality like that in a Delphi app, but I don't know if there's a component for that. Does anyone know of one?

The idea is to have 1 exe and 1 registry key with 1 subkey for every service to be installed. I use the exe to install/run many service, every service take his parameter from his registry subkey.     I have a Delphi COM Add-in for Outlook (2000-2007) and am trying to find a way to register an event when an MailItem in Outlook is marked as read. I want to add an additional property to the item as/just after it is marked as read. Does anyone have any idea how to do this using the Outlook Object Model? I am also using Add-In-Express components to help get to additional properties events.

  • Minimum set of Delphi 2010 files to move to a SVN repository for compiling

    We are using Subversion for SCC. We have a great deal of our build environment in our repository so that we can check a given version out and rebuild it fairly close to what was in use at that time. We have the following in there now: InnoSetup binaries Third Party Components VCL (including Indy) Our Source (of course) Finalbuilder project files The only thing missing is the binaries for Delphi itself - I am wondering if there is a minimum set of files that can be copied to the repository and run.     Hi, I'm currently adding a PDF viewer in a Delphi program using TAcroPDF. My problem is, the touch screens that need to show the PDF are rather small, so I wanted to add bigger buttons for scrolling. I thought I could use the function ScrollBy(DeltaX, DeltaY), but the function scrolls the component within it's container in stead of scrolling the document itself. Is there some way to scroll the PDF document?

  • How come .net 4.0 and .net 2.0 CLR's can exist in a same machine

    I have a basic doubt that, How can we have both CLR's on a same machine. If this is possible, When I refer few dll's of 4.0 and setting application pool to 2.0 why Cant I run the website(I am getting errors).When we refer the dll's from web.config it means it searches for GAC when that particular 4.0 dll is available in GAC Why dont it load (How come it is not loading).. Please clarify my doubts

Unfortunately, the string that I am trying to quote is rather messy, but I will post it here in case anyone wants to paste it into WinMerge or KDiff3, etc. I am trying to store an entire Delphi form into the database, rather than into a .DFM file. It has only one field, a TEdit edit box. What am I doing that is obviously, glaringly wrong?

    I have a button which when pressed, sets the user's rights in the db. (If Administrator UserTypeID is set to '2' and if Customer it is set to '1'). However when I run the below code, everything remains the same. I think it's from the SQL statement but I;m not sure. Can anyone help please?   • How to download a folder of files from a web server using Delphi

    I've checked out the usefule link how to download a file from internet using Delphi and my question related but I would appreciate a pointer to get started. I need to be able to copy all files in a web server folder down to a local folder. I wont know how many files there are, or indeed whether there is an internet connection.
