  • Assigned numbers to movie clip to plug in formula... not working

    - by Matthew MlgPro Harding
    So I am attempting to vertically evenly space these movie clips so I came up with a math formula involving n( the button number) but Its not working. var buttonArray:Array = [ side_banner.btn1, side_banner.btn2, side_banner.btn3, side_banner.btn4]; var buttonCount:uint = buttonArray.length; for (var i:uint=0; i< buttonCount; i++) { buttonArray[i].addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, outputNumber); buttonArray[i].theTrigger = [i + 1]; } function outputNumber(e:MouseEvent):void { trace( e.target.theTrigger); buttonArray[i].y = (((stage.stageHeight - 400)/4)*(e.target.theTrigger)) - ((stage.stageHeight - 400)/4)/2 } But apparently each movie clip doesn't actually have a numerical value just a numeric name... how can I get the "n" btn number to use my formula? Thanks

  • Unsigned versus signed numbers as indexes

    - by simendsjo
    Whats the rationale for using signed numbers as indexes in .Net? In Python, you can index from the end of an array by sending negative numbers, but this is not the case in .Net. It's not easy for .Net to add such a feature later as it could break other code perhaps using special rules (yeah, a bad idea, but I guess it happens) on indexing. Not that I have ever have needed to index arrays over 2,147,483,647 in size, but I really cannot understand why they choose signed numbers. Can it be because it's more normal to use signed numbers in code?

  • Why Is my json-object from AJAX not understood by javascript, even with 'json' dataType?

    - by pete
    My js code simply gets a json object from my server, but I think it should be automatically parsed and turned into an object with properties, yet it's not allowing access properly. $.ajax({ type: 'POST', url: '/misc/json-sample.js', data: {href: path}, // THIS IS THE POST DATA THAT IS PASSED IN TO THE DRUPAL MENU CALL TO GET THE MENU... dataType: 'json', success: function (datax) { if (datax.debug) { alert('Debug data: ' + datax.debug); } else { alert('No debug data: ' + datax.toSource() ) ; } The /misc/json-sample.js file is: [ { "path": "examplemodule/parent1/child1/grandchild1", "title": "First grandchild option", "children": false } ] (I have also been trying to return that object from drupal as follows, and the same results.) Drupal version of misc/json-sample.js: $items[] = array( 'path' = 'examplemodule/parent1/child1/grandchild1', 'title' = t('First grandchild option'), 'debug' = t('debug me!'), 'children' = FALSE ); print drupal_to_js($items); What happens (in FF, which has the toSource() capability) is the alert with 'No debug data: [ { "path": "examplemodule/parent1/child1/grandchild1", "title": "First grandchild option", "children": false } ] Thanks

  • How to set html content in Moodialog

    - by Diego
    Hello, i've just downloaded Moodialog, a Mootools plugin for dialog, but i have a problem. If content is set via parameters it will be text and not html. Can you help me change the function to accept html? I suppose that this is the code to be edit. setContent: function(){ var content = Array.from(arguments); if (content.length == 1) content = content[0]; this.content.empty(); var type = typeOf(content); if (['string', 'number'].contains(type)) this.content.set('text', content); else this.content.adopt(content); return this; }, I tried to edit 'text' in 'html', but it will not work. Thanks for help (and sorry for my bad english).

  • Attaching javascript events to form widgets

    - by user334017
    I have a form with a drop down menu and I want to do a javascript action whenever the user changes the selection. I imagine it is possible find the input later, using javascript, and attach an event to to it; but it seems like it would be easier if there was some sort of attribute or option that could be defined in form-configure(): e.g. $this->widgetSchema['menu'] = new sfWidgetFormChoice(array( ... 'onclick' => javascript function )); obviously this doesn't work, and it probably wouldn't be an onclick method either, but my question is how do you attach a javascript event to a input/widget?

  • Pull datasets from DB and manipulate into separate arrays

    - by dresdin
    My DB has four fields, date:date, morning:integer, afternoon:integer, evening:integer. Google charts needs the data split into one array per dataset (example below). What's the best way to do this? ['Day', 'Morning', 'Afternoon', 'Evening'], ['06/27/13', 1000, 400 234], ['06/28/13', 1170, 460 275], ['06/29/13', 660, 1120 377], ['06/30/13', 1030, 540 934] I've tried this without much luck: var data = google.visualization.arrayToDataTable([ <% @todo.each do |t| %> ['Day', 'Morning', 'Afternoon', 'Evening'], [<%= t.date.strftime("%m/%d/%y") %>, <%= t.morning %>, <%= t.afternoon %>, <%= t.evening %>] <% end %> ]);

  • addObjectsFromArray

    - by derek.lo
    I have a question about memory management when using the addObjectsFromArray method. Basically, I have 2 arrays defined in the appDelegate. I need these 2 arrays for the duration of my application's runtime. I therefore release them in my appDelegate's dealloc method. When I go to use these two arrays in a class, I want one array to store the values from the other, so that the other can have it's contents removed, but still stick around for use. Something like this: [appDelegate.arrayTwo addObjectsFromArray:appDelegate.arrayOne]; [appDelegate.arrayOne removeAllObjects]; I'm getting the compiler error: EXC_BAD_ACCESS because of a pointer issue? retaining issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

  • Database design: Using hundred of fields for little values

    - by user964260
    I'm planning to develop a PHP Web App, it will mainly be used by registered users(sessions) While thinking about the DB design, I was contemplating that in order to give the best user experience possible there would be lots of options for the user to activate, deactivate, specify, etc. For example: - Options for each layout elements, dialog boxes, dashboard, grid, etc. - color, size, stay visible, invisible, don't ask again, show everytime, advanced mode, simple mode, etc. This would get like 100s of fields ranging from simple Yes/No or 1 to N values..., for each user. So, is it having a field for each of these options the way to go? or how do those CRMs or CMS or other Web Apps do it to store lots of 1-2 char long values? Do they group them on Text fields separated by a special char and then "explode" them as an array for runtime usage? thank you

  • c# wrapper for a c DLL

    - by Without me Its just Aweso
    I'm attempting to write a wrapper so that my C# application can use a DLL written in C. Here is a method defintion that i'm trying to wrap: void methodA(const uint32_t *data); //c header declaration The issue I'm having is trying to figure out how to give a equivalent pointer from c#. In c# I want it to operate on a: UInt32 data[] //my c# object i want to be able to pass in but how do I give an equivalent pointer in my wrapper? I have tried ref data //my attempt at giving an equivalent pointer to the DLL but that doesnt seem to be working. Using debug statements in the DLL I can see that the values it gets that way are not what I'm attempting to pass in. So my question boils down to have do I properly wrap a c fuction that is using a pointer to reference an array?

  • Screen Scraping

    - by Sambo
    Hi I'm trying to implement a screen scraping scenario on my website and have the following set so far. What I'm ultimately trying to do is replace all links in the $results variable that have "ResultsDetails.aspx?" to "results-scrape-details/" then output again. Can anyone point me in the right direction? <?php $url = "http://mysite:90/Testing/label/stuff/ResultsIndex.aspx"; $raw = file_get_contents($url); $newlines = array("\t","\n","\r","\x20\x20","\0","\x0B"); $content = str_replace($newlines, "", html_entity_decode($raw)); $start = strpos($content,"<div id='pageBack'"); $end = strpos($content,'</body>',$start) + 6; $results = substr($content,$start,$end-$start); $pattern = 'ResultsDetails.aspx?'; $replacement = 'results-scrape-details/'; preg_replace($pattern, $replacement, $results); echo $results;

  • Get all email addresses in a string with JavaScript

    - by Mickel
    So, I have this JavaScript function: ME.Utils = { RxEmail: new RegExp(/^(("[\w-\s]+")|([\w-]+(?:\.[\w-]+)*)|("[\w-\s]+")([\w-]+(?:\.[\w-]+)*))(@((?:[\w-]+\.)*\w[\w-]{0,66})\.([a-z]{2,6}(?:\.[a-z]{2})?)$)|(@\[?((25[0-5]\.|2[0-4][0-9]\.|1[0-9]{2}\.|[0-9]{1,2}\.))((25[0-5]|2[0-4][0-9]|1[0-9]{2}|[0-9]{1,2})\.){2}(25[0-5]|2[0-4][0-9]|1[0-9]{2}|[0-9]{1,2})\]?$)/i), ValidateEmail: function(email) { return ME.Utils.RxEmail.test(email); }, GetEmailAddresses: function(text) { return text.match(ME.Utils.RxEmail); }, HasEmail: function(text) { return ME.Utils.GetEmailAddresses != null; } }; ValidateEmail works very well. However, HasEmail and GetEmailAddresses is not working properly. GetEmailAdresses always returns null, except for when the string only contains an email address. In this case, GetEmailAdresses returns an array not only containing the email address, but the email address ([email protected]), just the id (test) plus some unidentified etc. etc... Can you help me figure out what's wrong in my expression?

  • strategy for observer pattern?

    - by fayer
    I want to use observer pattern for a logging system. We have got logObservers and logObservables. The class that will have to log something will implement iLogObservable and include these methods: private $logObservers = array(); public function addLogObserver($logObserver) { $this->logObservers[] = $logObserver; } public function removeLogObserver($logObserver) { $this->logObservers[] = $logObserver; } public function write($type, $message) { foreach($this->logObservers as $logObserver) { $logObserver->log($level, $message); ; } } Then I noticed, that a lot of classes that will use logging will have these methods and I have to copy paste. So isn't it better to have these methods in a class I call LogObservable or just Log and then use strategy (instantiate this class inside all classes that will have to log). When I change the methods in Log, all logObservables will be affected. However, I have not seen anyone use observer pattern with strategy pattern yet, but it seems to be very efficient and remove the duplications. What do you think?

  • facebook php-sdk not logging out

    - by Meisam Mulla
    I'm having a hard time getting this to work. I use the following to generate the logout url: $logout = "https://www.facebook.com/logout.php?next=" . urlencode('http://' . $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] . $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']) . "&access_token=" . $facebook->getAccessToken(); Which generates the correct (worked with the last version) url: https://www.facebook.com/logout.php?next=http%3A%2F%2F...&access_token=AA....ZD However this does not actually log the user out. I tried using $facebook->getLogoutUrl(array('next' => 'myurl')) which generates pretty much the same url. This also did not work. I am lost as to why its not logging the user out. I actually tried manually putting the address into the address bar but it redirects me to the Facebook homepage.

  • Loop background images using jQuery

    - by da5id
    I'm trying to get the back-ground image of a legacy div (by which I mean it already has a background image, which I cannot control & thus have to initially over-write) to smoothly rotate indefinitely. Here's what I have so far: var images = [ "/images/home/19041085158.jpg", "/images/home/19041085513.jpg", "/images/home/19041085612.jpg" ]; var counter = 0; setInterval(function() { $(".home_banner").css('backgroundImage', 'url("'+images[counter]+'")'); counter ++; if (counter == colours.length) { counter = 0; } }, 2000); Trouble is, it's not smooth (I'm aiming for something like the innerfade plugin), and it's not indefinite (it only runs once through the array). All help greatfully appreciated :)

  • In the following implementation of static_strlen, why are the & and parentheses around str necessary

    - by Ben
    If I change the type to const char str[Len], I get the following error: error: no matching function for call to ‘static_strlen(const char [5])’ Am I correct that static_strlen expects an array of const char references? My understanding is that arrays are passed as pointers anyway, so what need is there for the elements to be references? Or is that interpretation completely off-the-mark? #include <iostream> template <size_t Len> size_t static_strlen(const char (&str)[Len]) { return Len - 1; } int main() { std::cout << static_strlen("oyez") << std::endl; return 0; }

  • Mapping a drop-down menu over an image

    - by Pieter
    I have a menu bar that is rotated slightly. Here are two buttons as an example: As a result, I can't use regular HTML to handle this. I need to use a <map> to put hyperlinks over the menu parts. (Or am I missing a killer CSS feature I don't know about?) I want to map drop-down menus to these buttons. This looks like a nice way to implement drop-down menus: http://javascript-array.com/scripts/simple_drop_down_menu/ However, this does not work on <map>s, I believe. Or am I wrong? Is there a different approach I can take to constructing drop-down menus for a menu bar that is not aligned horizontally?

Does anyone know of a library perhaps that does this?

  • Newbie PHP coding problem: header function (maybe, I need someone to check my code)

    Hi, consider the following PHP code: <?php $searchsport = $_REQUEST['sport']; $sportarray = array( "Football" => "Fb01", "Cricket" => "ck32", "Tennis" => "Tn43", ); header("Location: ".$sportarray[$searchsport].".html"); //directs user to the corresponding page they searched if ($searchsport == NULL) { header("Location: youtypednothing.html"); //directs user to a page I've set up to warn them if they've entered nothing } else { header("Location: sportdoesnotexist.html"); //if sport isn't in my root, a warning will appear } ?> I think the code comments are self-explanatory, basically when I type Tennis on my form.html it will send data to this php file and process and direct me to Tn43.html which is my tennis page. Unfortunately, it doesn't work and I really want to know why... (I know I've made some huge silly mistake). PS: Is header the right function to use when doing some redirecting?

  • iPhone / NSArray : How do I format a text file to be read in using arrayWithContentsOfFile

    - by nickthedude
    I have several large word lists and I had been loading them in place in the code as follows: NSArray *dict3 = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:@"abled",@"about",@"above",@"absurd",@"absurdity", ... but now it is actually causing an exc_bad_access error weirdly, i know it seems implausible but for some reason IT IS causing it. (trust me on this I just spend the better part of a day debugging this crap) Anyway, I'm looking to get these humongous lines of code out of my files but I'm not sure what the best approach is. I guess I could do a plist but I need to figure out how to automate the process. it be easiest if I could just use the text files I've been compiling so if anyone knows how I can format the text file so that the myArray = [NSArray arrayWithContentsOfFile: @"myTextFile.txt"]; will be read in correctly as one word per element in the array it would really be appreciated. Thanks, Nick
