• SSIS web service task parsing result.

  I have an ssis (2005) package that uses the web service task to download to a file destination. The file contains a string of xml data. After downloaded the file looks like this. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?> <string>--here is XML data with escaped characters--</string> My thought was I could then use the XML source data flow source to pull the <string> data, but when I set this up the XML source will not read the <string> as a column. It will generate an xsd and it seems normal, but no luck seeing the column. Any ideas on getting this to work? Or would there be a better way to pull the data within the file generated from the web service? Thanks.

• Generating JavaDoc style documentation

  Hi all, I would like to generate a report similar to JavaDoc so that you can real easily click on a test, result, and source. I am running HtmlUnit tests so I will have the result (html), source (request, headers, parameters, etc.), stack trace all visible so a developer or qa can go back later to review this to see what went awry. So, in the left frame, the tests will be listed along with the group they were a part of (similar to packages in javadoc). In the right frame, the results will be presented along with the source and stack trace. How can I achieve this? The HtmlUnit tests are part of the project and not a stand-alone plugin if that matters. Thanks, Walter

  Firstly, sorry for my english. I´m brazilian guy that is improving yet. I want create a helper tag called "collection_cascading_select". That helper is similar to "collection_select", but he has one more argument called "source". The "source" is the other collection in the view. Ever that other option is select in the "source", a javascript function needs run to gets his value. Then populate the "collection_cascading_select" collection agreed of that value. That gets confusing ?!? Sorry... But help me! I'm one week in this problem and my brazilian brothers don´t are help me. THANKS!

• Should I inherit from a stackpanel instead of a stack panel, grid or other UI element or UserControl

  So I'm building a peice of UI that might me in a dialog window or might be in embedded in part of a bigger page. I don't have alot of experience with WPF, but in ASP.NET you always used UserControls, because their wasn't anyt really generic UI inherit to inherit from (and in a way UserControl was just a div). My coworker has written alot of controls that inherit directly from stackpanel. That seems like a decent way of doing things. But when I went to create a control for the code I was going to write I was presented with a dialog that only included the UserControl, which I wasn't that familiar with in the context of WPF. So can someone explain to me the difference from building a control that inherits from user control vs inheriting directly from a stackPanel?

  If you're familiar with the excellent Aptana Studio IDE, you know it's based on Eclipse. You also know it comes pre-packaged with SFTP capability. I need to work on a remote server, where I have Apache installed; SFTP is ideal for this. I've installed the Subclipse plugin, and I can access and checkout projects from the Repo. I can create a new project from SVN source, which will download all the source to my chosen workspace or a specified location. But I can't figure out a way to combine these features! I need to create a Project on a remote server via SFTP but I need to link the source to a repository. Is there any way to do this?

  Short version All I need is that, in a ModalPopUp, when the DoubleClick event of a ListItem fires, the click event of my OK button should be executed. Detail I have a ModalPopUpExtender, which hosts a user control. The user control has an OK and a Cancel button. Along with that, it has a dynamic ListBox added to it. So far, I've considered the following possible solutions: Use Ajax.Net. But, I cannot afford to have a WebMethod. Use a ClientScriptCallBack. This will need a lot of JavaScript, since I have made almost every control dynamic. Is there any other way apart from using an UpdatePanel?

• Cannot change the Label text!

  I have created a custom control and added a label property to it so at design time we can pick a Label and assign it to that control. so basically I want that if a label is assigned to that control, its text should change as below and also its text should change to bold font, so here is that code: private Label assignedLabel; public Label AssignedLabel { get { return assignedLabel; } set { assignedLabel = value; assignedLabel.Text = @"*" + assignedLabel.Text; assignedLabel.Font = new Font(AssignedLabel.Font, FontStyle.Bold); AssignedLabel.Refresh(); } } the problem is that based on the code above the Font of that assigned label is correctly changing to Bold font, but its Text is not taking affect. why is that happening? how can I fix this issue?

  Hi, I'm trying to design this script that's supposed to be used as a part of a logon script for alot of users. And this script is basically supposed to take a source folder and destination folder as basically just make sure that the destination folder has the exact same content as the source folder. But only copy if the datemodified stamp of the source file is newer than the destination file. I have been thinking out this basic pseudo code, just trying to make sure this is valid and solid basically.   Hello, I want to develop some crosstab also know as pivot reports in Asp.net with x-axis and y-axis being dynamics, allowing grouping by row and column, for example: have products in y-axis and date in x-axis having in body number of sells of a given product in a given date, if date in x-axis are years, i want subtotals for each month for a product (row) and subtotals of sells of all products in date (column) I know there are products available to build reports, but i am using Mysql, so Reporting Service is not an option. It's not necessary for the client build additional reports, i think the simplest solution is having a control to display such information and not using crystal report (which is not free) or something more complex, i want to know if is there an available free control to reach my goal. Well, does anybody know a control or have a different idea, thanks in advance.

• Flash AS3 Coloring Book - Movieclip only clickable in certain spots (Event Listeners)

  I am working on a coloring book and have a movieclip (outlines) containing many movieclips that can be changed to whatever color the user has selected. However it seems like some of the movieclips can be clicked anywhere and work great, and others you need to click a certain spot for it to color in. I have an example here: http://jeffkilroy.com/hosted/softee/coloring.html Notice the three sections of the icecream (top, middle, bottom). The middle is clickable from anywhere inside the movieclip, however the top and especially bottom require you to click on specific spots in order for you to activate the event listener. Not sure if it is a depth issue because I would assume if that is the case it would activate at least a different movieclip but it just seems nothing happens at all. However, when adding controls which themselves contain a scriptmanagerProxy we run into the problem that the newed up Page object doesn't contain either a ScriptManager or the HtmlForm in which the ScriptManager needs to run.   Hello, I am getting the following exception when I typo the SQL driver name or the database server is offline, basically any SQLException. I can't determine where the UndeclaredThrowableException is coming from.   I apologize if this is a noob question, but I can't seem to figure this one out. I have defined an object that defines a music track (NOTE: originally had the just ATTRIBUTE vs self.ATTRIBUTE. I edited those values in to help remove confusion. Now I want to iterate the list and print out a single value of each item list = self.TrackOlv.GetObjects() for item in list: print item.atrTitle This fails with the error AttributeError: type object 'Track' has no attribute 'atrTitle' What really confuses me is if I highlight a single item in the Object List View display and use the following code, it will correctly print out the single value for the highlighted item list = self.TrackOlv.GetSelectedObject() print list.atrTitle

• What is the best method for implementing mouse wheel activity in Delphi VCL forms?

  As a long time user of Delphi 7, I've rolled my own mouse wheel handling in a few controls but lately I've noticed that some recent applications only need the mouse cursor to be placed over a control (e.g a list box or tree view) for the mouse wheel activity to cause that control to scroll. This feels nice (as opposed to having to click focus a control before it responds to the wheel. Now I've moved to Delphi 2010 I'm wondering what is the 'correct' behavior? And what can I use in Delphi that avoids me having to bodge this with my own solutions now? Thanks.

• ASP.Net AJAX controls, adding via .ashx page

  Okay, this is a continuation of a previous question of mine, but it is distinct enough to be its own question. Based on user interaction, I'm calling a .ashx handler via a jquery ajax call, and that handler is building some html for me that includes some Telerik controls like a masked textbox (masked for a phone number like "(###) ###-####". I got around all the hurdles of using Render() to get the html output of a server control even when it doesn't have a "Page" object or a ScriptHandler object. However, when I show the control to a user, I see the mask in the text of the textbox, but the mask doesn't "work" in the sense that when a user starts typing, it is as if the mask is really just text. So, my question is, after putting the html code out for a masked textbox, how do I tell whatever javascript is supposed to mask the input to really start masking on that specific control? I really hope this made sense. Please tell me if you need any clarification.

  How does one combine two GCC compiled .o object files into a third .o file? $ gcc -c a.c -o a.o $ gcc -c b.c -o b.o $ ??? a.o b.o -o c.o $ gcc c.o other.o -o executable If you have access to the source files the -combine GCC flag will merge the source files before compilation: $ gcc -c -combine a.c b.c -o c.o However this only works for source files, and GCC does not accept .o files as input for this command. Normally, linking .o files does not work properly, as you cannot use the output of the linker as input for it.   Hi, I am devolping a web application.the problem is that i am using a login control (not a .NET control) which is a part of master page and is acessible from all pages. if user log In from a page the login control updates itself and displlay some statistics of logged In user but the specific page does not reload. (some options on page are visible only to authenticated users, so that after login, page should be reloaded to display such options) after logIn methoed I wrote Reponse.Redirect(Request.Url.AbsoluteUri) after this the browser response the "Page cannot be displayed" It would be of great help to me. • Can I set a property on an object that is only declared on the instance type, when I don't know the

  Let me explain. I have a List into which I am adding various ASP.NET controls. I then wish to loop through the list and set a CssClass, however not every Control supports the property CssClass. What I would like to do is test if the underlying instance type supports the CssClass property and set it, but I'm not sure how to do the conversion prior to setting the property since I don't know the type of each Control object. I know that I can use typeof or x.GetType(), but I'm not sure how to use these to convert the controls back to the instance type in order to test for and then set the property. Actually I seem to have solved this, so I thought that I would post the code here for others. foreach (Control c in controlList) { PropertyInfo pi = c.GetType().GetProperty("CssClass"); if (pi != null) pi.SetValue(c, "desired_css_class", null); } I hope that this helps someone else as I has taken me hours to research these 2 lines of code.   I've tried searching but couldn't come up with a defined way on how to add your own packages to a GWT project. My tree structure looks like this: -com.mycompany -public MyApplication.html MyApplication.gwt.xml -com.mycompany.client MyApp.java -com.mycompany.gui TableLayout.java The answer I've seen out there says to add the packages relative to the root directory of the gwt.xml file, like so: <module> <inherits name="com.google.gwt.user.User" /> <entry-point class="com.mycompany.client.MyApp" /> <source path="client" /> <source path="gui" /> </module> It then complains: Unable to find type 'com.technicon.client.MyApp' Hint: Previous compiler errors may have made this type unavailable Hint: Check the inheritance chain from your module; it may not be inheriting a required module or a module may not be adding its source path entries properly Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to fix this?

  I use GNU make, I want my source files and object files to be in different folders. As a first step, I want the source files at the root of my project folder, and the object files in a subfolder (say Debug/). The inference rule would be: .ss.obj: echo Assembling $*.ss... $(ASSEMBLY) $(2210_ASSEMBLY_FLAGS) $*.ss -o Debug\$*.obj but in that case, make rebuilds all files all the time, since there are no .obj in the root folder. Is there a way to include a folder for the target in the line .ss.obj? I also tried: $(OBJS_WITH_PATH):$(SRC) echo Assembling $<... $(ASSEMBLY) $(ASSEMBLY_FLAGS) $< -o $@ with $(SRC) as a list of all my sources, $(OBJS_WITH_PATH) built that way: OBJS_WITH_PATH = $(patsubst %.ss,Debug\\%.obj,$(SRC)) but that builds a dependency on all source files for all object files. What I would like is to modify the inference rule I wrote first, to take Debug/*.obj files. What it says now is no rule to make target Debug/asdfasdf.obj.

  I am currently running Ubuntu 12.04.1 Desktop and would like to apply this patch: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rpcbind/0.2.0-7ubuntu1.2 My current rpcbind version is here: # aptitude show rpcbind Package: rpcbind State: installed Automatically installed: yes Version: 0.2.0-7ubuntu1.1 As you can see on the patch page, I'd like to patch to this version: Version: 0.2.0-7ubuntu1.2 However, based on the downloadable files on the patch page, I'm not sure where to start. (directory structure of the original rpcbind source) # find rpcbind-0.2.0 -type d rpcbind-0.2.0 rpcbind-0.2.0/src rpcbind-0.2.0/man (directory structure of the patch download) # find debian -type d debian debian/patches debian/source [EDIT] I've figured out how to apply the individual patches in the patches directory: # patch -p1 < ../debian/patches/01-usage-fix.patch patching file src/rpcbind.c (and so on for each patch file) ... but I'm not sure what do with the patch-related files in the root debian folder.
