• How to connect to the internet through broadband through ALFA USB adapter

  Hi evryone I have question that really make me mad..I search every where and I couldn't find the answer.pleas read the details carefully: I have broadband (Wan mini-port PPPOE) account from a wierless network near from us...I'm receiving the signal with grid and Alfa AWUS036H wireless usb adapter.In all of windows version I can connect through my broadband when I do these steps 1.setup new connection or network 2.connect to the internet 3.setup new broadband connection then I but the ISP name(not Important just to remember my broadband connection) and then i put the username and password then connect. I can find and connect to my wireless networkbut when I make Dsl connection in ubuntu 12.04LTS and I put the username and password I couldn't connect.. I tried this tool"gnome dial up tool" and wouldn't work.. in other way..(how can I connect to broadband connection through ALFA USB adapter??) my wireless network have a servers when i check with winbox: mac adress ip adress server name version router board verson and I connect PPP through them... any answer will help me ..so we could solve this problem. thanks.

Für Oracle Software können wir diese Frage beantworten, da wir ja selber der Hersteller sind. Bei Software anderer Hersteller ist die Situation etwas anders. Wir unterstützen hier Softwarepartner so gut wir können bei der Umstellung ihrer Software - soweit das notwendig ist. Dafür haben wir eine eigene Abteilung bei Oracle. Diese Abteilung veröffentlicht in ihrem eigenen Blog Hinweise auf neu verfügbare Software mit Querverweisen auf die entsprechenden Seiten der Software-Hersteller. Wer also die neuesten Nachrichten dazu lesen möchte, wird hier fündig.   Mein Kollege Karim Berrah aus der Schweiz hat die Informationen des Blogs sehr schön in einer Tabelle zusammengefasst, um die Suche zu erleichtern. Diese Liste wird von ihm von Zeit zu Zeit aktualisiert, wächst langsam aber stetig und hat natürlich nicht den Anspruch der Vollständigkeit, erleichtert aber die Suche ungemein.

  Hello, I need help with compiling midnight commander so that I can make some changes (for educational purposes). Or even creating the make files. After downloading latest version from git. I try to perform ./autogen.sh .   I'm running cm9 ics on my Galaxy Note and i tried anything i could find googleing around but to no result, if i look on the phone in usb settings there is the option for mass storage but it's grey and therefore not selectable I don`t know what the problem is but i saw somwhere that it might be an old version of libmtp so i tried to install libmtp 1.1.3 with ./configure make make install but even after when i try mtp-detect it gives me libmtp 1.1.1 is it normal? anyway when i run mtp-detect here is what it gives me libmtp version: 1.1.1 Listing raw device(s) Device 0 (VID=04e8 and PID=6860) is a Samsung GT-P7310/P7510/N7000/I9100/Galaxy Tab 7.7/10.1/S2/Nexus/Note. • True Ubuntu on Chromebook ARM (samsung)

  I have installed Ubuntu 13.04 on my desktop (runs like a charm). Then I used Crouton to install Ubuntu 12.04 on my chromebook samsung (ARM). It also works quite good. But here comes my question. Can we have a true Ubuntu (preferably 13.04) on my ARM chromebook? It seems that the Crouton/Ubuntu is not 100% the real thing. The best option would be to have the full Ubuntu 13.04 and remove the Chrome OS.

• GRUB- error: no such partition grub rescue and Error: No default or UI configuration directive found boot > on pendrive

  I have dell inspiron, previously I installed Ubuntu 11.10 on my Windows 7 and made it dual boot. But since I want to upgrade my Ubuntu version and change the partition spacing, I deleted 11.10 partition directly and extended my hardrive space (Windows + Ubuntu) at that moment everything was fine. Then I prepared a 12.04 32bit USB and installed it . It was installed but isn't showing dual boot option like 11.10 and my machine directly boot into Windows 7. So instantly i again deleted my 12.04 partition . Now I login into Windows 7 but whenever I put USB ( with 12.04 ) to boot from it, I am facing error of "no such partition grub rescue" even though I try to put lower version(11.04) it showing another error "Error: No default or UI configuration directive found boot " I have reinstall Windows 7 and reformat all partition, still I am facing same error :(

• Is it possible to preview arbitrary formats in Nautilus?

  I recently found out that Nautilus (Ubuntu 12.04 at least) can show thumbnails of files of non-image formats, for example (data grapher) grace files (.agr) shows a small version of the graph contained in its data. Obviously, there some library or script that is processing the file, making the image, and allowing nautilus to show a small version of it. This made me think that in principle any file that potentially can be processed into an image can serve as a Nautilus thumbnail. For example, a .tex file (which can be converted to .pdf) or a gnuplot script can be displayed as a thumbnail when possible. In the case of .tex file, the correspoding .pdf can be created by the command pdflatex file.tex. The question is, how can I tell Nautilus to create a thumbnail for an arbitrary format and how do I specify the commands to do so within Nautilus?

I've been reading up on AI techniques and algorithms and I just wanted to what is the best way to implement an AI for such a game?   After installing Ubuntu 11.04 I was disappointed by the fact there are still Scala 2.7 (when 2.8 is long ago current actual branch) and Mono 2.6 (when pretty a time has passed after 2.8 release). I am not sure I could build all the packages for Mono myself, but I'd like to try making my own custom version of Scala package (and I want my system to accept it not as a different package but a version of the original, so that if I put it into a configured repository, the system will automatically upgrade to it from currently installed original 2.7). Can you recommend a good tutorial on this subject (Ubuntu deb packages building and hacking for beginners)?

I have set up my machine to automatically log in to my account. I don't mind the lesser security of having the keyring automatically unlocked.
