  • FMDB transaction

    - by user142764
Hi ! I use FMDB to wrap SQLite in my app. I haven't found any docs about the use of methods begin, beginUpdates, commit, finalize, etc. I face some problems in my apps which i think are caused by the way i use transactions. Here is what i tried : [FMDB beginUpdates] - My insert statement - [FMDB commit] [FMDB finalize] it crashes with this log : Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '*** -[FMDatabase<0xd705a0 finalize]: called when collecting not enabled' Could you please give me an example of how you are using transactions, or point me to a doc ? Thanks in advance, Vincent.

  • Subclass of UIView with Xib file.

    - by rdesign
Hey guys, Although I've searched the Board and used google, I didn't get any useful results. I've trying to make a subclass of UIView loading its view from a xib file. My approach is the following: 1. Creating a subclass (named mySubclass): @interface mySubclass : UIView { } @end Creating a view through: Add New File... User Interface View XIB Connecting the Xib and the subclass: In IB select the View and set the class to mySubclass. In my viewController I make an instance of my new subclass and add to my view. -(void)viewDidLoad { mySubclassIns = [[mySubclass alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 320, 460)]; [self.view addSubview:mySubclassIns]; [super viewDidLoad]; } Result: Noting shows up in my App :( If I don't set it up programmatically but rather with IB it doesn't work either. (Am I setting it up right when choosing a view in IB and set the class to myClass?) I would be really thankful for your help! Thanks in advance.

  • Detecting UITableView scrolling

    - by Xeph
Hi I've subclassed UITableView (as KRTableView) and implemented the four touch-based methods (touchesBegan, touchesEnded, touchesMoved, and touchesCancelled) so that I can detect when a touch-based event is being handled on a UITableView. Essentially what I need to detect is when the UITableView is scrolling up or down. However, subclassing UITableView and creating the above methods only detects when scrolling or finger movement is occuring within a UITableViewCell, not on the entire UITableView. As soon as my finger is moved onto the next cell, the touch events don't do anything. This is how I'm subclassing UITableView: #import "KRTableView.h" @implementation KRTableView - (void)touchesBegan:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { [super touchesBegan:touches withEvent:event]; NSLog(@"touches began..."); } - (void)touchesMoved:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { [super touchesMoved:touches withEvent:event]; NSLog(@"touchesMoved occured"); } - (void)touchesCancelled:(NSSet*)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { [super touchesCancelled:touches withEvent:event]; NSLog(@"touchesCancelled occured"); } - (void)touchesEnded:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { [super touchesEnded:touches withEvent:event]; NSLog(@"A tap was detected on KRTableView"); } @end How can I detect when the UITableView is scrolling up or down?

  • Creating a fixed formatted cell in UITableview

    - by Wes
Hi, I want to have a tableview create rows that look like this: value1 item1 container1 value10 item10 container10 value100 item100 container100 value2 item2 container2 What I am trying to show is that the first word (value) will have a set length of 12 and then the second word (item) will have a set length of 10 and then the last word (container) is just tagged on at the end. I am pulling these from a SQLite database and don't want to use multiple lines, but read in a strictly formatted structure like this.

  • UIAlertView crashing on undocumented method

    - by morticae
Our app has been crashing with a frequency of roughly 1 in 1,500 launches due to a bug that is proving elusive. The relevant portion of the stack trace is included. It's being fired as a callback so I have no reference for where it's occurring in my own code. It looks like what's going on is there is a UIViewAnimationState object that is calling UIAlertView's private method (_popoutAnimationDidStop:finished:). Only problem is, it appears the UIAlertView has been dealloced by this point. I don't do anything weird with alert views. I throw them up, and I wait for user input. They are all shown before being released. Anyone encountered this? At this point, I'm leaning toward it being an Apple bug. • How to push this view controller ?

    - by hib
Hello all, I am caught in a strange requirement .See the following view hierarchy and scenario . I have a tab bar application in which I have three tabs . In first tab I am showing some content with a small image title and date (uitableview in navigation controller). In the detail view of that controller there are more buttons that shows different sorts of detail like gallery button and , more details button and some , more button . On tapping each button I will push each individual view controller in the main navigation controller . Now on the horizontal orientation I am showing same list of content but in the cover flow ( in modal view controller ) fashion like the ipod application . On tapping any image we will show the same buttons like gallery and more details and tapping on it will show the new controller with the following code : UINavigationController *modalNavController = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:myPhotoController]; UIBarButtonItem *backButton = [[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Back" style:UIBarButtonItemStyleBordered target:self action:@selector(backButtonPressed)]; myPhotoController.navigationItem.leftBarButtonItem = backButton; [backButton release]; if([self.modalViewController isViewLoaded]){ [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES]; } modalNavController.navigationBar.barStyle = UIBarStyleBlackOpaque; [self presentModalViewController:modalNavController animated:YES]; [modalNavController release]; All this is working nicely . but when I get back the device in vertical orientation . the main modal controller will be dismissed and all the containing modal controller also will be dismissed if they are open or not . Instead of this what I want is If chooses an item in the coverflow and then if chooses gallery and if I put the device in vertical orientaion the gallery should be in the navigation hierarchy that drove me to the main list and gallery should be in horizonatal fashion . So what I want to do is that just to push the gallery controller in the main navigation hierarchy instead of showing from a madal controller . If someone wants reference then see the application "net a porter" I want to do like that . Just tell me how the controller hierarchy is working in that app . I need the help . Thanks

  • Issue while adding 'Cc' Field in 'TTMessageController' (Three 20)

    - by Deepika
Hi All I am using the TTMessageController class for compose mail. There is only 'To' recepients Field in this class. I added the Cc Field in it. I have used this code: - (id)initWithNibName:(NSString *)nibNameOrNil bundle:(NSBundle *)nibBundleOrNil { if (self = [super initWithNibName:nibNameOrNil bundle:nibBundleOrNil]) { _fields = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects: [[[TTMessageRecipientField alloc] initWithTitle: TTLocalizedString(@"To:", @"") required: YES] autorelease], [[[TTMessageRecipientField alloc] initWithTitle: TTLocalizedString(@"Cc:", @"") required: YES] autorelease], [[[TTMessageSubjectField alloc] initWithTitle: TTLocalizedString(@"Subject:", @"") required: NO] autorelease], nil]; self.title = TTLocalizedString(@"New Message", @""); self.navigationItem.leftBarButtonItem = [[[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithTitle: TTLocalizedString(@"Cancel", @"") style: UIBarButtonItemStyleBordered target: self action: @selector(cancel)] autorelease]; self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = [[[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithTitle: TTLocalizedString(@"Send", @"") style: UIBarButtonItemStyleDone target: self action: @selector(send)] autorelease]; self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem.enabled = NO; } return self; } When I type anything in 'To' or 'Cc' field , two lists are appearing as search result:- One for 'To' field and second for 'Cc' Field. I want to show only one list according to 'To' or 'Cc' Field. Please suggest me any idea how can I resolve it or some other better way to implement my requirements? Thanks Deepika

  • UIScrollView content to track a CAKeyFrameAnimation along a path

    - by CMLloyd
In my App I have a full-screen UIScrollView where the content is a UIImageView containing a map image which is about 2000px square (i.e. larger than the UIScrollView). Currently, I plot a path across the map and animate a "beacon" image along it using a CAKeyFrameAnimation, which works great. What I would like to be able to do is to make the UIScrollView content move with the animation in such a way as to keep the beacon image in the centre of the screen (giving the user the impression of tracking along the path). Any suggestions on how I might achieve this?

  • Unrecognised selector sent to instance uitableview

    - by ct2k7
    I'm getting error: Unrecognised selector sent to instance, upon inspection, I see there is an issue in this section of code, and more specifically: [self.tableView insertSubview:ovController.view aboveSubview:self.parentViewController.view]; - (void) searchBarTextDidBeginEditing:(UISearchBar *)theSearchBar { if(searching) return; //Add the overlay view. ovController = [[OverlayViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"OverlayView" bundle:[NSBundle mainBundle]]; CGFloat yaxis = self.navigationController.navigationBar.frame.size.height; CGFloat width = self.view.frame.size.width; CGFloat height = self.view.frame.size.height; //Parameters x = origion on x-axis, y = origon on y-axis. CGRect frame = CGRectMake(0, yaxis, width, height); ovController.view.frame = frame; ovController.view.backgroundColor = [UIColor grayColor]; ovController.view.alpha = 0.5; ovController.rvController = self; [self.tableView insertSubview:ovController.view aboveSubview:self.parentViewController.view]; searching = YES; letUserSelectRow = NO; //self.tableView.scrollEnabled = NO; } Looks like there's an issue with tableview?

  • remove ViewController from memory

    - by user262325
hello everyone I hope to load an ViewController and do something then unload it from memory. if (self.vViewController5.view.superview==nil) { ViewController5 *blueController = [[ViewController5 alloc] initWithNibName:@"View5" bundle:nil]; self.vViewController5 = blueController; [self.vViewController5 setDelegate:self]; [blueController release]; } [self presentModalViewController:vViewController5 animated:YES]; later, call [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES]; but I found that dismissModalViewControllerAnimated does not trigger the event viewDidUnload of Viewcontroller5. I try function release but it caused program collapse. I also try removeFromSuperView but it does not trigger the event ViewDidUnload neither. Welcome any comment Thanks interdev

  • Multiple ParticleSystems in cocos2d

    - by Mattias Akerman
I wonder about what road I should go with ParticleSystem. In this particular case I want to create 1-20 small explosions at the same time but with different positions. Right now I'm creating a new ParticleSystem for each explosion and then release it, but of course this is very punishing to the performance. My question is: Is there a way to create one ParticleSystem with multiple emitting sources. If not should I create an array of ParticleSystem in init and then use a free one when an explosion is needed? Or is there another approach I haven't thought of?

  • Verifying existence of name and password in NSUserDefaults to Skip a login/Screen

    - by Michael Robinson
I have a Tabbar/Tableview App that modally loads a Login/Signup view when the app loads, I have set up a Root.plist in a settings bundle for the name and password and have successfully retrieved the items. I want to be able to do two things: 1) Do a test to see if the NSUserDefault Strings are empty and if so load the Login/Signup view. 2) If the strings are available then use the string contents to login to my Webservice. Thanks in advance.
