    I'm having trouble writing a regular expression that matches valid IPv6 addresses, including those in their compressed form (with "::" or leading zeros omitted from each byte pair). Can someone suggest a regular expression that would fulfill the requirement? I'm considering expanding each byte pair and matching the result with a simpler regex.

    So I already have a database setup with a few columns and a few rows already inserted in. I'm trying to create a view that you would just input information into a form and press Submit, then a row would be added to the MySQL database with the information you just typed in. I believe you can do this with admin, but I would like to try without admin and I'm not sure if this is possible? I've been using the MySQL commandline to add rows as of now..

Are there any IDEs (mainstream or not) or IDE plugins that use a non-linear widget, such as a tree? (e.g., pick category first, then the actual recommendation)? I'm working on an IDE feature and want to make sure I'm not reinventing the wheel or infringing some patent.

Previously in winforms world I'd override onload in a base form and iterate through all controls and containers and determine the type of controls and set the dimensions accordingly. I guess I could do the same in WPF but is there any better way to do this?

    I need to be able to execute a shell command through LaTeX [*] and have the resulting output available for use later on in the form of a LaTeX 'variable' (e.g., via a subsequent \newcommand command). If necessary a temporary file could be used to hold the output, although I would like to avoid this. I have been able to use \immediate\write18 to invoke a bash command before, but this was only used to write to a temporary file. [*] I realise that the -shell-escape flag must be set for this to be allowed

    I already have a solid knowledge of Object-oriented PHP as well as HTML/Javascript/MySQL plus a basis in Java. Now I would like to implement my projects in an efficient way, whether it is a web project in PHP or an Android application. My problem is once my code gets bigger I start messing error handling, with form validation etc, and I guess its because of my poor basis in software architecture. Thanks.

The simplest thing I could think of is doing an HTML form which calls a PHP script which appends the data in some file on the server.   • Javascript auto calculating with (+) and (-)

    I need some help finding the error in my javascript calculation. I need to calculate the sum of my input boxes automatically and have my user be able to edit the calculation using + or - buttons. The code I have already does the calculation automatically if you manually enter the numbers, but pressing the + or - does not change the calculation. I have input lines of of the form (token)(whitespace)(token)(lots of text) The problem is that there exit n tokens per line, so I can't do something like this cut -f3,4,5,6,7,8,9 is there a way to tell cut to take everything except the specified fields

  • Can HTML checkboxes be set to readonly?

    I thought they could be, but as I'm not putting my money where my mouth was (so to speak) setting the readonly attribute doesn't actually seem to do anything. I'd rather not use Disabled, since I want the checked check boxes to be submitted with the rest of the form, I just don't want the client to be able to change them under certain circumstances.

    Hi, Is there a way to display a component in EditorGridPanel without the need to click on the cell? The problem I see on this demo is that the checkboxes are not Ext.form.Checkbox components, and not even inherited from it. The checkboxes are simply background images and since I am building a grid that needs ComboBoxes, it will not be simple to apply a similar hack.
