  • Giving Custom permission

    Hello, My requirement is that there are 2 parties 1. User (who creates the item) 2.Approvers who approve the item When the user creates the item then they should see only their created item in the list (This is easily possible)...the approvers should have only read access and they can see all the items ...when i select the option that only person who creates the item can see the item then approvers are not able to see the items...can somebody plz help that how to work with this...maybe i am missing some simple stuff so can anybody just point me out to the solution..   • Fully custom validation error message with Rails

    Using Rails I'm trying to get an error message like "The song field can't be empty" on save. Doing the following: validates_presence_of :song_rep_xyz, :message => "can't be empty" ... only displays "Song Rep XYW can't be empty", which is not good because the title of the field is not user friendly. How can I change the title of the field itself ? I could change the actual name of the field in the database, but I have multiple "song" fields and I do need to have specific field names. I don't want to hack around rails' validation process and I feel there should be a way of fixing that.

    I am building a module, or component not sure yet, but I need to have a some options that depend on another option. For example, if you choose "A" then options 1, 2 and 3 appear.     The datagridview rowsremoved event gets called every time the data gets loaded. It also makes sense to a certain extent that every time the data loads, the existing rows are removed. so technically the event should get called. But how do i differenciate that from the actual delete button getting pressed. I don't think the key events should be used, that wouldn't be a clean approach. Any help will be most appreciated.
