  • JQuery .submit() changes post data

    I'm posting a form with javascript and it seems to be changing a value that I've entered in. Html: <% using (Html.BeginForm("ChangeTime", "Cart", new { cartItemId = cartItem.CartItemID }, FormMethod.Post, null)) { %> <%= Html.TextBox("startTime")%> <input type="submit" value="Update" /> <% } %> JQuery: <script type="text/javascript"> $('#startTime').change(function() { $(this).parent('form').submit(); }); </script> When I put a time in the textbox (05/05/2010 06:08 am), the form is submitted, however the string as it comes through, is 05/05/2010 - with the time part removed. I see this in fiddler. If get rid of the javascript and click the button above, it goes through how it should. Why is JQuery changing my text?

    Well, I have an ActiveX (*.ocx) component, and i use it in a managed C++/CLI project: write a managed wrapper around ActiveX component[ NET has a great Interop services : provides me genarated dll so i can easily use it in my managed code] The problem is that Visual Studio (2008) automatically copy the generated Interop *.dll to the directory where my *.exe file stay.But i want put all my genarated Interop *.dll to a folder ... Suppose My directory structure is so: D:\MyProject\Output\MyProject.exe //My mamanged exe D:\MyProject\Output\Interop.XXXLib.1.0.dll // *Interop .dll I want to put Interop.XXXLib.1.0.dll into new folder D:\MyProject\Output\Interops and use it from that directory...How Can i do it?   • Send data to LPT on windows XP

    I want to send data to a printer on LPT1 and i trying exactly this but my CreateFile returns -1 (The system cannot find the file specified.Exception from HRESULT:0x80070002). How to open LPT1 port and send data to? I am trying this on XP and after that in win7 64 bit because from what i've read working with LPT in win7 64 bit is a bit of a problem, or should i say 64 bit of a problem:) PS:Since it's my first post this year: Happy New year to everybody.

Initially i install database on this pc with some initial data (there are some tables that application uses and the user doesn't touch). The question is - how can i upgrade this database after user created some new data without harming it (i continue developing and can add some new tables or stored procedures or add some columns to existing tables).   • Android: Creating custom class of resources

    Hi, R class on android has it's limitations. You can't use the resources dynamically for loading audio, pictures or whatever. If you wan't for example, load a set of audio files for a choosen object you can't do something like: R.raw."string-upon-choosen-object" I'm new to android and at least I didn't find how you could do that, depending on what objects are choosen or something more dynamic than that. So, I thought about making it dynamic with a little of memory overhead. But, I'm in doubt if it's worth it or just working different with external resources. The idea is this: Modify the ant build xml to execute my own task. This task, is a java program that parses the R.java file building a set of HashMaps with it's pair (key, value). I have done this manually and It's working good. So I need some experts voice about it. This is how I will manage the whole thing: Generate a base Application class, e.g. MainApplicationResources that builds up all the require methods and attributes. Then, you can access those methods invoking getApplication() and then the desired method.   • Import-Pssession is not importing cmdlets when used in a custom module

    I have a PowerShell script/function that works great when I use it in my PowerShell profile or manually copy/paste the function in the PowerShell window. I'm trying to make the function accessible to other members of my team as a module. I want to have the module stored in a central place so we can all add it to our PSModulePath. Here is a copy of the basic function: Function Connect-O365{ $o365cred = Get-Credential [email protected] $session365 = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange -ConnectionUri https://ps.outlook.com/powershell/ -Credential $o365cred -Authentication Basic -AllowRedirection Import-PSSession $session365 -AllowClobber } If I save this function in my PowerShell profile it works fine. I can dot source a *.ps1 script with this function in it and it works as well. The issue is when I save the function as a *.psm1 PowerShell script module. The function runs fine but none of the exported commands from the Import-PSSession are available. I think this may have something to do with the module scope. I'm looking for suggestions on how to get around this. Currently I am working on a project where I have to display an individual map (not a google maps view, I'd like to display the map of a building's interior) with which the user can interact(mark positions, etc.). Is there a framework or an existing app that I could use? Of course I searched the internet but could not find anything. Perhaps it is in some way possible to use the google maps API?   • MVC Partial View Not Refreshing when using JSON data

    I have a dropdown that I'm using to refresh a div with checkboxes. I am trying to figure out why my view is not refreshing if I pass in data in JSON format. If I pass in just a regular string, the view refreshes. If I pass in JSON data, the view does not refresh. If I step through the code in the Partial view, I can see the correct number of records are being passed in, however the view doesn't get refreshed with the correct number of checkboxes. I tried to add some cache directives, it didn't work.     I need a database for testing a data masking solution. Any database would do (Oracle/MSSQL flavor). I just need the schema / db definition. I have tools to generate data records. The magnitude of database I am looking should have 30 odd tables with 30 odd columns in each table - a HUGE database. Do freely available complex database /schema definitions exist on the internet? If yes, where do I find them?
