  • Bind event to a div appearing

    Can I create an event so I can execute some javascript whenever an element with a specific ID becomes visible or appears on the page? The element comes from a remote resource (so isn't in MY html code but appears on page load) and I'd like some code to run when it appears (and only if it appears, it may not appear every load).   • MVC Design Question

    I'm trying to build a pager where it's just Next / Previous buttons that call a jquery function that post a JSON request. Inside the function, the current page "index" is retrieved from a hidden field and passed to the controller. Inside the controller, I reset the index if I'm on the last page of data. How would I pass the new index value back to the view? Or is there a better way to do what i'm trying to do? Thanks

  • facebook access_token problem

    Hi, I just wrote a little application(4 page php), everything work fine, however, I have a question that, do I need to create a new instance of facebook (just like $facebook = new facebook.....) in every new php page, or just pass a access token or session? If only pass the access token, how can I use the function $faceook-api('something'); to acheive the data? Because I'm a beginner of php, I have no idea how access token work, please help, thanks a lot! Regards, YK

  • Will my shared variables loose value? (asp.net vb)

    I have a class includes.vb that holds some variables (sharing them with other pages) like: Public Shared pageid As Integer = 0 I then have a function that does some work with these variables returning them with values; Return pageid When I step through the code, the variables have values (while stepping through the function), but when they are returned to the page, they come back null. Do they loose value everytime a page is loaded? Can you suggest an alternative method? Thanks a lot.

  • Net::HTTP Gives time out but browser visit returns data

    I tried the following Net::HTTP.get_print URI.parse(URI.encode('https://graph.facebook.com/me/likes?access_token=mytoken', '|')) (My Token is my actual token in code) I get a EOFError: end of file reached error If I visit the page with my browswer it loads up a JSON page. Any idea what could be causing the error? It was working a few days ago. Can't see any changes to facebook api.

So I am confused now what is it now? Also in Visual studios when I write "const" it underlines it in the javascript file and goes syntax error.

    So I have this schedule visit page with two groups. Group 1 contains a list of: Cases. Group 2 contains a list of: Parties. each group has a checkboxes next to its item for the user to select. My Issue when i select a case and/or a party and save -- then go to the edit page of the visit i just saved and only my selected case is checked and the party i selected is not checked. After debugging i realized that the partyId is not being saved properly during the create page and thus not showing as selected or saved on the edit page. I really need help on how to properly save the party selected and setting for it a value from the parameter. Here is my code of what i have for saving a case and would like to know how to properly save with party.     I am grabbing data through a jQuery Ajax call, and displaying it on the page. I need to wait for both the DOM to load and for the Ajax call to complete before I can use the data to display it on the page. Can an Ajax call ever complete before the DOM has loaded? I'm just trying to determine where I need to put my method that will manipulate the DOM and use the data I'm getting back.

    I've created a login page and registration page and now I want to use that to password protect pages and have pages which show information specific to that user. Would storing the user ID of the user logged in in a Session variable be a safe and correct way of doing this? How easy would it be for a user to change the session variable to a different ID and access another user's information, and not having to type the users login details in?

    I have a problem logging onto a page and then using it with cURL. I login, get PHPSESSID and cookie, and then try to do an action but page returns 'not logged in'. But if I manually log in and copy/paste that PHPSESSID into curl cookies .txt file, everything works fine. So why doesn't it work with PHPSESSID from cURL?

  • Groups equivalent for social plugin Facepile

    I need to do something similar to the Facepile social plugin for a site I'm working on. The problem is the client does not have have a Facebook page, but instead has a Facebook Group (with some 4000+ members). I guess I could urge the client to move their group members to a page, and I might do that in the future. But before I do I want to research how we're going to do Facebook-integration more thoroughly. For now I just need a quick fix.
