    I've been looking around JQuery libraries for the URL hash, but found none that were good. There is the "history plugin", but we all know it's buggy and isn't flexible. I am loading my pages inside a div.     Hi, Is it possible to extend user's session expiration time in CI. What I want to do is, by default every user's session cookie lasts for example 1 day, but every time user visits the site his session expiration time is extended by one more day. I don't know if it is a good idea to do this, maybe I should just set cookies life time for like a week and that's it? Thanks!

  • recaptcha still submits form when one word invalid

    Um so I was in for a little bit of a surprise tonight. I spent a good 20 mins trying to figure out why I was able to submit a form knowing that what I entered into the recaptcha field was invalid. Is it true that you don't need to input the exact words it displays? If it shows me two words and I misspelled one of the words, I still pass validation? Same goes if "hello world" and I input "hell man" it still works.

The thing is I contacted db4o support asking if db4o would be suitable for a website, and they answered me that only for websites with low concurrency. That means with few requests? So, now I think db4o will not be a good choice. Do you know if there is any object database for java suitable for a website?

  • Abstraction is for lame programmers ? [closed]

    Hi, there's this senior developer in my company who's (in his own opinion) a pretty good C programmer. I happen to be from functional background (ML, to be specific) and so for me composition and abstraction are the two basic elements of programming. But this MrSmartyPants has got some kind of superiority complex and he'd always argue with me that abstraction is for lame programmers and _real_ programmers do not need it. Is it a problem with this guy or all C programmers have this opinion that abstraction is for lame programmers?
