An interesting case of delete and destructor (C++)

I have a piece of code where I can call destructor multiple times and access member functions even the destructor was called with member variables' values preserved. I was still able to access member functions after I called delete but the member variables were nullified (all to 0). And I can't double delete. Please kindly explain this. Issue while trying to give a floating effect to a footer bar in IE

Hi, I'm trying to put a footer bar at the bottom of the browser no matter what the length of the content is. The footer bar should always be visible to the user and should be on the top layer. Rails: How do I unserialize from database?

Hello, I am currently trying to save information for an invoice/bill. On the invoice I want to show what the total price is made up of. The procedures & items, their price and the qty. So in the end I hope to get it to look like this: Consult [date] [total_price] Procedure_name [price] [qty] Procedure_name [price] [qty] Consult [date] [total_price] Procedure_name [price] [qty] etc... All this information is available through the database but i want to save the information as a separate copy. That way if the user changes the price of some procedures the invoice information is still correct. I thought i'd do this by serializing and save the data to a column (consult_data) in the Invoice table. I tried defining a variable to the consult_data attribute and then doing "variable.consult_problem" or "variable[:consult_problem]" (also tried looping) but it only throws no-method-errors back at me. How can I read/write data from a file?

I'm writing a simple chrome extension. I need to create the ability to add sites URLs to a list, or read from the list. I use the list to open the sites in the new tabs. I'm looking for a way to have a data file I can write to, and read from. I was thinking on XML. I read there is a problem changing the content of files with Javascript. Is XML the right choice for this kinda thing? I should add that there is no web server, and the app will run locally, so maybe the problem websites are having are not same as this. Before I wrote this question, I tried one thing, and started to feel insecure because it didn't work. Isn't the C++ standard library backward-compatible?

Hi. I'm working on a 64-bit Linux system, trying to build some code that depends on third-party libraries for which I have binaries. During linking, I get a stream of undefined reference errors for one of the libraries, indicating that the linker couldn't resolve references to standard C++ functions/classes, e.g.: librxio.a(EphReader.o): In function `gpstk::EphReader::read_fic_data(std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > const&)': EphReader.cpp:(.text+0x27c): undefined reference to `std::basic_ostream<char, std::char_traits<char> >& std::__ostream_insert<char, std::char_traits<char> >(std::basic_ostream<char, std::char_traits<char> >&, char const*, long)' EphReader.cpp:(.text+0x4e8): undefined reference to `std::basic_ostream<char, std::char_traits<char> >& std::__ostream_insert<char, std::char_traits<char> >(std::basic_ostream<char, std::char_traits<char> >&, char const*, long)' I'm not really a C++ programmer, but this looks to me like it can't find the standard library. Doing some more research, I got the following when I looked at librxio's dependency for the standard library: $ ldd librxio.so.16.0 ./librxio.so.16.0: /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.9' not found (required by ./librxio.so.16.0) libm.so.6 => /lib64/libm.so.6 (0x00002aaaaad45000) libstdc++.so.6 => /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6 (0x00002aaaaafc8000) libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib64/libgcc_s.so.1 (0x00002aaaab2c8000) libc.so.6 => /lib64/libc.so.6 (0x00002aaaab4d7000) /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x0000555555554000) So I read that as saying that librxio (one of the third-party libraries) requires at least v3.4.9 of the standard library. But the version I have installed is 4.1.2: $ rpm -qa | grep libstdc compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-61.x86_64 libstdc++-devel-4.1.2-14.el5.i386 libstdc++-devel-4.1.2-14.el5.x86_64 libstdc++-4.1.2-14.el5.x86_64 libstdc++-4.1.2-14.el5.i386 Shouldn't this work? The shared object major number is 6, same as for v3.4.9. At this level, shouldn't this be backward compatible? It seems like the third-party library is looking for an earlier version of the standard library than what I have installed; but isn't there backward compatibility between versions with the same major number for the shared library? Again, I'm not really a C++ programmer; but I don't see what the problem is. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

XML structure question

I have a basic XML object that I'm working with. I can't figure out how to access the parts of it. Align div boxes next to each other

Hi everyone, I’ve two div boxes that I’m using as a expand-collapse with some javascript but the problem is that they currently are align underneath each other. I would like to have them next to each other instead but I’ve run into a wall. (with the period.) I would like to do this in such a way that doesn't require knowledge of other templates in any other template. So, for instance, I would like to be able to add a "util:add-colon" method without having to open up the hood and monkey with the existing templates. I was playing around with the <xsl:next-match/> instruction to accomplish this. Adding it to the first template above does of course invoke both util:uppercase and util:add-period, but the output is an aggregation of each template output (i.e. 'STRINGstring.') It seems like there should be an elegant way to chain any number of templates together using something like <xsl:next-match/>, but have the output of each template feed the input of the next one in the chain. Am I overlooking something obvious?

How do I delete a [sub]hash based off of the keys/values of another hash?

Lets assume I have two hashes. One of them contains a set of data that only needs to keep things that show up in the other hash. e.g. my %hash1 = ( test1 => { inner1 => { more => "alpha", evenmore => "beta" } }, test2 => { inner2 => { more => "charlie", somethingelse => "delta" } }, test3 => { inner9999 => { ohlookmore => "golf", somethingelse => "foxtrot" } } ); my %hash2 = ( major=> { test2 => "inner2", test3 => "inner3" } ); What I would like to do, is to delete the whole subhash in hash1 if it does not exist as a key/value in hash2{major}, preferably without modules. The information contained in "innerX" does not matter, it merely must be left alone (unless the subhash is to be deleted then it can go away). In the example above after this operation is preformed hash1 would look like: my %hash1 = ( test2 => { inner2 => { more => "charlie", somethingelse => "delta" } }, ); It deletes hash1{test1} and hash1{test3} because they don't match anything in hash2. Here's what I've currently tried, but it doesn't work. Nor is it probably the safest thing to do since I'm looping over the hash while trying to delete from it. However I'm deleting at the each which should be okay? Hi guys. I'm creating a page that searches for an item and then be able to edit/update it. I was able to do it when it returns just one result but when it gives me multiple results I could only edit the very last item. Hello, im building a asp.net web site with 2.0 framework. I've been "fighting" with web.config, i've changed it quiet some times. I've created the users for the login and the role to access the "Members" folder. But in my host company, it doesnt work. I have the aspnet database from my computer in that databese "jsilvaqqc.mdf". When i try to log on pops up box requiring autentication. But i've alreadu given that in the log in form. Do i need aspnet "authentication" tag? Ruby on Rails: jQuery datepicker - dates between validation

I have an app that allows a user to create new projects, and the search for them later. One of the options they have when creating a project is giving them start and end dates. At the moment all the code works properly for creating and searching on the dates, but I am now wanting to restrict what dates the user can enter. I am needing for an error to flag up when the user tries to enter an end date that is before the start date. It's really more for when the user is creating the project. I would like to delete the ICollection PriceBreaks from Product. I'm using the following method. However they dont seem to delete. What am i missing. When i step thru. i notice that "product.PriceBreaks.Clear();" doesn't actually clear the items. Application error with MyFaces 1.2: java.lang.IllegalStateException: No Factories configured for this Application.

For my app I'm using Tomcat 6.0.x and Mojarra 1.2_04 JSF implementation. It works fine, just I would like to switch now to MyFaces 1.2_10 impl of JSF. During the deployment of my app a get the following error: ERROR [org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[Catalina].[localhost].[/myApp]] StandardWrapper.Throwable java.lang.IllegalStateException: No Factories configured for this Application. This happens if the faces-initialization does not work at all - make sure that you properly include all configuration settings necessary for a basic faces application and that all the necessary libs are included. Also check the logging output of your web application and your container for any exceptions! If you did that and find nothing, the mistake might be due to the fact that you use some special web-containers which do not support registering context-listeners via TLD files and a context listener is not setup in your web.xml. Why does my Perl regular expression only find the last occurrence?

I have the following input to a Perl script and I wish to get the first occurrence of NAME="..." strings in each of the <table>...</table> structures. The entire file is read into a single string and the regex acts on that input. However, the regex always returns the last occurrence of NAME="..." strings. Can anyone explain what is going on and how this can be fixed? I also need to stop it using (Reset==1). Any help? jquery, manipulate content inserted by ajax, without using the callback

I am using ajax to insert a series of informational blocks via a loop. The blocks each have a title, and long description in them that is hidden by default. They function like an accordion, only showing one description at a time amongst all of the blocks. The problem is opening the description on the first block. I would REALLY like to do it with javascript right after the loop that is creating them is done.
