  • Seeking jQuery-based transition library

    I'm looking for a library (or plugin) that help me create a slideshow where (besides the simple ordering of images) I'm able to define the beginning and ending positions (either X/Y, or Zooms) for a given image and the plugin animates the intervening steps between them. Flash has a number of tools/libs like this, i'm sure jQuery has seen similar. Ideally something that offers a range of easing effects as well. I understand these elements are native to jQuery...i'm looking for a time-tested wrapper. thx

    Hello all, I am currently in the process of designing an interface for .NET software that would be consumed by COM objects - specifically, VB6. While I have found a number of pages by Microsoft detailing how to make an COM-interoperable interface, I am currently tripping over the use of Collections in design time: I would like to be able to use a standard VB6 "Collection object" in the .NET program - for example, specify an argument as being a VB6 collection - and thus minimize the time necessary for clients to consume the interface.     Hello, I have to do something like this string = " this is a good example to show" search = array {this,good,show} find and replace them with a token like string = " {1} is a {2} example to {3}" (order is intact) the string will undergo some processing and then string = " {1} is a {2} numbers to {3}" (order is intact) tokens are again replaced back to the string likem so that the string becomes string = " this is a good number to show" How should it be implemented so that the process is done at high performance ?     I have a data Table with numbers formatted according to the current regional settings. ie ( in French decimal separators are ',' instead of '.' in English). I need to export it to XML. Numbers in XML needs to be formatted according to the current regional settings.But now numbers in XML are formatted in English.Is there any way to make the number formatting in XML according to current regional settings ( or based on the locale of the Data Table) during the exporting process ?

    I'm working on homework and I'm close but I am having an issue. I just learned how to work with packages in eclipse so I have a class that is importing another class from a package (I think I said that right) The main prompts the user to enter an integer between -100 and 100 and I am having an issue with validating it. I know the issue is where I'm importing I'm just unsure the direction I need to go to fix it. This is a section of my main code.   • ASP .Net User Roles - ordering for a drop down.

    We are using the standard aspnet security features, we have need to set the order of the roles, purely for display purposes. We could just have a sequence number onto the end of the aspnet_roles table, but that feels kinds of hacky to me. Also if in future versions of asp the security get changed we will be in trouble. Is there a better way to do this that won't make me loose sleep each time a new version is pushed out?

    I want to query against a geospatial index in mongo-db (designed after this tutorial http://www.mongodb.org/display/DOCS/Geospatial+Indexing). So when I execute this from the shell everything works fine: db.sellingpoints.find(( { location : { $near: [48.190120, 16.270895], $maxDistance: 7 / 111.2 } } ); but the same query from my nodejs application (using mongoskin or mongoose), won't return any results until i set the distance-value to a very high number (5690) db.collection('sellingpoints') .find({ location: { $near: [lat,lng], $maxDistance: distance / 111.2} }) .limit(limit) .toArray(callback); Has someone any idea how to fix that?

    If you go to the "Variable Grid System" generator and have: column width = 20 number of columns = 12 and gutter width = 60 ...the system provides a content width of 900 and a full width of 960. http://www.spry-soft.com/grids/ Now, this is all fine and dandy in Firefox, Chrome, and even IE6, but when you load those settings in IE8, you end up with the actual full width as 1000px, not 960px. Has this issue been encountered before?

    Hi I would like to zip a bunch of files (.exe and .dll) before I overwrite them with the new build. Is there a simple way to zip files without using some sort of dll? Just creating a folder with the build number / date time stamp will also work great. How do I pass parameters from the cruise control build process into my Powershell script that will do the work then? Is this a sustainable way to do things? Thanks
