• VS2010: Warning on add project reference to Silverlight project from .NET project

  In VS2010, Silverlight 4, .NET 4, I've got a WCF service and a Silverlight app, and Silverlight is accessing the class not with Add Service Reference but by sharing the contract. Naturally, this means I have the contract in a Silverlight class library, and the service has a project reference to that library. Strangely, this results in a /!\ icon on the reference, and a warning: The project 'SilverlightClassLibrary1' cannot be referenced. The referenced project is targeted to a different framework family (Silverlight) However, the reference works fine (I can use the interface in my Silverlight app) and builds fine. Is this a bug? My guess is yes, since the warning is lying and also goes away if you add an assembly reference instead of a project reference. I filed a bug and there's more info here as well.

  Hello, I wanna made "WiFi maps" and I have problem with do that, I wanna have 3 icons OPEN/WEP/WPA, and a lot of markers, and every marker with own infowindow, and only 1 infowindow on top, so when I will click #1 and then #2 then #1 will hide. And if I will have XXXX markers there will be problem with them on map in zoom out, there is possible to made it like when is much markers in one place all will not show in zoom out but in zoom in yes? • Very large database, very small portion most being retrieved in real time

  Hi folks, I have an interesting database problem. I have a DB that is 150GB in size. My memory buffer is 8GB. Most of my data is rarely being retrieved, or mainly being retrieved by backend processes. I would very much prefer to keep them around because some features require them. Some of it (namely some tables, and some identifiable parts of certain tables) are used very often in a user facing manner How can I make sure that the latter is always being kept in memory? (there is more than enough space for these) More info: We are on Ruby on rails. The database is MYSQL, our tables are stored using INNODB. We are sharding the data across 2 partitions. Because we are sharding it, we store most of our data using JSON blobs, while indexing only the primary keys

• Global ignore pattern for TortoiseSVN / Visual Studio 2010

  After installing and using Visual Studio 2010, I'm seeing some newer file types (at least with C++ projects ... don't know about the other types) as compared to 2008. e.g. .sdf, .opensdf, which I guess are the replacement for ncb files with Intellisense info stored in SQL Server Compact files? I also notice .log files are generated, which appear to be build logs. Given this, what's safe to add to my global ignore pattern? Off the bat, I'd assume .sdf, .opensdf, but what else?

• FullCalendar/JSON event feed problem

  I am using a php/MySQL driven event feed to JSON. I am also trying to use greek html entities (i.e. &Gamma-with the semicolon) in the title for the event. Because FullCalendar will not let me see all the processies in firebug I can't see exactly what is going on but it will not render the Γ, etc. I have tried all the combinations I can think of in the php json_encode, the actual MySQL db field result. QTip which fullCalendar recommended on their site actually renders it correctly in the tip rendering. I am at a loss because this is something I really wish to use in the app if at all possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Slight Update I finally found that the JSON is being manipulated to make the & itself into &amp';' no matter what I do; so any relevant info on this could come in handy also. Thx

I have even added android:cacheColorHint="#00000000" as provided info by some other blogs.

In IB in the nib file, I've added a view ahead of the table view and hooked it up to headerView - a UIView declared in the .h file. • iTextSharp renders image with poor quality in PDF

  Hello, I'm using iTextSharp to print a PDF document. Everything goes ok until I have to print the company logo in it. First I noticed that the logo had poor quality, but after testing with several images, I realize that was the iTextSharp rendering it poorly. The test I did to say this was to print the PDF using my code and then edit the document with Acrobat 8.0 and I drew an image. Then printed the two documents and saw the noticeable difference. My question is that if anyone know if this can be due to a scaling problem where I'm failing to tell iTextSharp how it must render the image or is an iTextSharp limitation. • SCCM 2012 unable to update boot images with pxe enabled

  we are fighting an error in sccm 2012. When we attempt to distribute boot images (after selecting the pxe option) we receive an error that the pxe image cannot be expanded (distmgr log). Can you give us any direction on what to try or attempt in this scenario? We only have one dp in our environment at the moment, however we have found that by creating another dp on a different server we don’t have this problem. However we really need the primary site to be a dp. We have tried: Removing and reinstalling the dp Removing and reinstalling the WDS Reinstalled the OS ... ouch Reinstalled SQL We even attempted to manually mount these wims in the remote install folder, no luck... • InstallShield 2010 - 1603 Fatal Error [Windows Installer] (Windows 7 Only)

  Hi all, I created an MSI InstalScript Project where i deploy a web based (ASP.NET) precompiled project copying the files during installation in the \inetpub\wwwroot\projectnamefolder, creating an AppPool and the virtual dir of course in the IIS. The setup works great in windows XP Pro (SP3 i used). But soon as i try in Windows 7 (tried Ultimate and Home Premium) i get a -1603 Fatal Error during installation...Windows Installer Help (MSI.chm) or MSDN for more info.... Dying to fix this... [Edit] I think error occurs when trying to create the Application in the IIS. [FIXED] Enable 32 Bit Apllications needs to be true when creating Application Pools through InstallShield in a 64 bit OS!

• Android - Barcode Scanning, Options? Zxing?

  I want to create an application for Android that will be able to scan barcodes, get the information contained within the barcode and then be able to use that information in some way. • UiSplitViewController doesn't autorotate.

  Hello, I have recently run into a problem. My iPad app is somehow preventing the iPad from auto-rotating. My app loads a UISplitView with both of the view controllers returning YES for shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:. I have set up my info.plist to include the "Supported interface orientations" key with all four orientations. When I run the app, however, rotating the device does not rotate the splitView (even though I am receiving UIDeviceOrientationDidChangeNotification). In addition, when I exit my app in a different orientation that it started in the iPad home screen doesn't autorotate to the correct view until I rotate it again without my app running.... Any Ideas would be much appreciated....

You can enter values in textboxes and invoke the click events for buttons and links, but I have not figured out how select a option drop-down .... in a automated way. Everything i have read about modal windows uses a div that gets shown when you click the link, but i want to pass an id so i can just get the info i need. I know i could do it with a new window quite easly but i would like to use a modal window if poss. Any ideas how i could do this. I'm using asp.net if thats going to be relevent. Cheers Luke

The solution below works fine but I am specifically looking for a way to lookup manager of the user who created the holiday request list item in the workflow. User add new holiday item to list Workflow kicks off Wf has the manager hardcoded (need a way to look this up, maybe from AD??) and creates a Task for them to review the request.   I currently work in a position that i have to manage and access 1000s of pages for troubleshooting and new setup.... and im trying to figure out a way for firefox or chrome to setup ANYtime it sees for instance a a web based page for equipment like (CISCO, Linksys, Sonicwall, T1 controllers) from the manufacture in the Title bar or from the originating page place a set up 2 - 3 passwords to auto log on with. 1st one of course being the most common so it logs in faster.. I access about 14 different web based products with passwords tied to each of them and if someway i can grab info stating that hey this company is cisco/sonicwall/linksys/hp/ log on with these set of 3-5 credintials. Using possible If then statements.... is that hard i saw some script files but not sure if its difficult because some apps use the MSG BOX built in feature and some use the form submit method built on the page unless i can have 2 different grease monkey scripts at the same time.... thanks.

  Hey, I would like to make an program that acts like a big filter for stocks. To do so, I need to have real-time (or delayed) quotes from the market. I started getting stock quotes by requesting pages from yahoo, accordingand parsing the html to the ticker, and parsing the html. I was wondering how to do this requesting and parsing html. Is there some way I can request only the stock quotes and its info? ActivityManager.restartPackage method has been deprecated and the description is: the previous behavior here is no longer available to applications because it allows them to break other applications by removing their alarms, stopping their services, etc. Instead 2.2 has given another tool for pesky "task killer" apps by introducing new ActivityManager.killBackgroundProcesses method. More Info Can someone explain whether ActivityManager.killBackgroundProcesses will kill our scheduled alarms? If so, deprecating ActivityManager.restartPackage was pointless as "task killer" will now abuse ActivityManager.killBackgroundProcesses.

  Hello everyone, I am trying to get a tutorial or step by step instructions on how to connect MS Project 2010 to MS Project Server 2010. I have installed Server 2008 R2 (64 bit), Sharepoint 2010, and Project 2010 on my server and created a new site using the project 2010 template. I am now trying to connect my stand alone Project 2010 to that site for updates and such. I tried the File-Info-Manage accounts option and it comes up with "Could not retrieve server initialization data." I cannot find a step by step tutorial to set it up or to trouble shoot the error message. Any hints or good resources would be much appreciated.

  Can someone help/guide me with using SQLite lib on Linux (MONO) and Windows (.NET) On linux i use native mono sqlite client, and on windows i use http://sqlite.phxsoftware.com/ is there a way to define 'using' directives like this : #if (linux) using Mono.Data.Sqlite; #else using System.Data.SQLite; Another problem is small differencies on both implementations, like : cmd = new SqliteCommand(); // mono cmd = new SQLiteCommand(); // sqlite.phxsoftware.com Waiting for any help If you know better or simplier way to do this it'll very thankfull for info.
