  We have a business web application in ASP.NET + SQL Server 2008. In the beginning, SQL Server and IIS were on the same machine. Now we bought another machine. Current configuration is IIS machine plus SQL Server machine, and they are connected by a 1gb LAN connection. With this configuration our web application is slower than before. Max bandwidth is 1-2% of network, about 15mbps. When we use another threads to the same SQL Server from the same IIS machine, network use is higher. So this is no problem with SQL Server. Ho we can make higher bandwidth for this SQL connection?   I have Acrobat Pro, and I have a PDF with a form on it. Assuming the fields in the form correspond to a data source (like rows in an RDBMS table or xml file), I want to then print multiple copies of the PDF file, with each copy having the values of a different row in the data source. It is preferable to directly interface with an actual database, rather than having to save an XML file every time I do this. If this involves programming that's cool too, I only posted here because the question didn't seem appropriate for StackOverflow. Thanks!

  When using XPath in .NET one of the gotchas to be aware of is that all namespaces must be named, otherwise you’ll end up with no results. Default namespaces that are specified with xmlns alone still need to be recognized in the XPath query! Now, the twist is that I actually want that account to set up a specific port forwarding configuration when the ssh session is established. But it must be impossible configure arbitrary port forwarding. (It is an acceptable solution if the permitted port forwarding configuration is unconditionally established as part of the every session.)

  This is Ms Kahina, I’m getting started with jBPM & Java EE, I tried to install the jBPM 5.4 version by following all the steps stated in the iBPM user guide as below: 1- I’ve installed Java (JDK 1.7) and ant ( Apache-ant-1.9.4). 2- I’ve set both JAVA_HOME and ANT_HOME environement variables. 3- I’ve downloaded the jBPM 5.4 full installer and run the installation script “ant install.demo” and after that the start script “ant start.demo”. But unfortunately jBPM 5.4 is not working. When running the installation Script I’m getting successful message but with the following warnings : [copy] Warning: Could not find file C:\jbpm-installer\db\task-persistence.xml to copy. [copy] Warning: Could not find file C:\jbpm-installer\db\Taskorm.xml to copy. The start demo was successful. Actually when I try to open any tool provided with the jBPM such us the jBPM-console for example I’m getting the following messages: Address not found or sometimes the http status 404 occurred even if the Welcome page of jBoss AS was opened at http://localhost:8080/. Please need your assistance to sort out this issue in order to move forward in my project as I'm blocked in the installation stage since more than a week now, I don’t know if this is related to the jBoss AS7 or to any other thing that I didn’t find out.   there are obviously various 'canned' configuration options in oracle's weblogic server console for setting up data sources, jms queues, ldap servers etc, etc. What i want however is a way to configure other servers, mostly server urls, etc, in the console as well, and allow web applications running on the web server to access those configuration settings at runtime, probably through jndi names. Things like a document management server, a workflow server, etc. However I'm at a loss for how to configure custom jndi 'data sources' within wls' console. Is this possible?

Am I doing something terribly wrong?

While working on a file monitor for our site, we have found that the File System Object allows us to enumerate the directories and files of other customers that are on the same server as us. Attempting to enumerate files in some root customer directories results in access denied errors - but not all. Is this an IIS configuration error? A Windows configuration error? How can we direct our hosting company to fix the problem?

  I have defined the following command for one of my service checks: define command{ command_name mycommand command_line $USER1$/check_by_ssh -p $ARG1$ -l nagios -i /etc/nagios2/keys/key1 -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -v -C 'source $USER10$ ; command.py -a get --alert-name $ARG2$ -q' } The problem is that it seems that nagios is parsing the command with the semicolon, and producing garbage which can not be executed. I have tried also putting a backslash \;, to no avail. If I run the command directly on the shell, it works. Which means that this is not a problem with check_by_ssh, but a problem on the parsing of the nagios configuration file. How can I debug this? Is there a way to get a listing of all the commands that nagios has parsed when reading the configuration files?

• How can I make my PHP development environment more efficient?

  I want to start a home-brew pet project in PHP. I've spent some time in my life developing in PHP and I've always felt it was hard to organize the development environment efficiently. In my previous PHP work, I've used a windows desktop machine and a linux server for development. This configuration had it's advantages: it's easy to configure Apache (and it's modules)/PHP/MySql on a linux box, and, at the time, this configuration was the same like on production server. However, I never successfully set up a debug connection between my Eclipse install and X-debug on server. Transferring files from my local workspace to the server was also very annoying (either ftp or Bazaar script moving files from repository to web root). For my new setup, I'm considering installing everything on my local machine. I'm afraid that it will slow down workstation performance (LAMP + Eclipse), and that compatibility problems will kick-in. What would you recommend? Should I develop using two separate machines? On one? Do you have experience using one of above configurations in your work?

  I want to enable automatic ssh login using the .ssh/config file for my git user. Here is my .ssh/config file: Host test HostName myserver.net User test IdentityFile ~/.ssh/id_rsa Host git HostName myserver.net User git IdentityFile ~/.ssh/id_rsa It works for my test user but not for my git user so my global SSH configuration is correct. The configuration are exactly the same as far as I know. It used to work with git user but I'm unable what change has broken the automatic logon. • Dual displays not working with Xinerama in Ubuntu 12.04

  I just upgraded from Ubuntu 10.10 to 12.04. I had been using a display configuration just like the one described at http://bitkickers.blogspot.com/2009/08/rotate-just-one-monitor-with.html without any problems under 10.10. I have an nvidia Quadro FX 380 and have upgraded to the latest drivers (295.49). Everything appears to be fine when the system first boots up. However, after logging in, the left screen goes black, and the right screen displays what should be displayed on the left screen. Logging into Ubuntu 2D somewhat improves things. The left screen correctly displays the left portion of the desktop but the right screen contains a duplicate view of the left screen. Turning off Xinerama and enabling TwinView appears to fix the issues but does not allow the right monitor to be rotated. Since the display problems start to occur only after logging on, I thought it might have to do with carryover user configuration from 10.10 but the problems persist even when logging in as a guest. Clicking on System Settings - Displays results in the error message "Could not get screen information - RANDR extension is not present." Any help would be greatly appreciated.
