  does anybody know if it's possible to use the vsync of the second monitor instead of the first one with pyglet? I have 2 monitors, one running at 60Hz and the other at 120Hz. I want to be able to set my application on whatever monitors I have, and have the application use the monitor's rate to swap the buffers. This needs to be cross platform. I found this information... pyglet.window But I was wondering if anybody knows a way... Thanks for your help.

  I have a Flask web application running behind gunicorn and Nginx. Nginx proxies any traffic to ivrhub.org to the correct flask app. I would very much like to use inbox.py to process some incoming email. Running inbox.py's example on my server and then sending an email to [email protected] does not work as I intended. The inbox.py server does not seem to receive anything but the email also does not bounce. I'm missing something conceptually -- is there a DNS setting I need to configure or something I need to adjust with Nginx?

• Can I migrate from GNU Mailman to MailChimp?

  I have ~20 lists, all of which are mostly announce-only (newsletters--recipients do not reply back to the list) running in GNU Mailman. It's alright. Mailman has certainly prooven itself but we want some progressive features and a better peice of mind (delivery success, hosting, etc... we'd be happy paying a 3rd party to handle these things). can MailChimp give us what we need? I see tons of fun copy and graphics, showing off neat features but what I really want to do is; if MailChimp is doing the mailings, what does the address look like? is MailChimp good for sending out simple newsletters? What about automatic bounce processing / unsubscribing of users? I setup a free account but I don't see how any of it integrates into my own domain... no DNS overrides or cname suggestions. Also, I see MailChimp has a clean and nifty API client in Python that I want to integrate into our sites (Django powered) so that really really makes the service attractive to me--I just hope I understand it correctly.

• Logging Bounced messages to a Database (Postfix with virtual domains/users)

  We have a postfix installation with a couple of virtual domains each with virtual users. These domains and users are mapped using a mysql database. I have been until now tracking bounces by parsing the postfix log file. I suspect there must be better and more efficient ways of doing this. I thought of three but I am not sure what is best: Write a Postfix content filter that logs the bounce and throws away the mail Use procmail - but I am not sure how procmail would work with virtual users who have no $HOME defined Write a script that POPs mail from mailboxes; parses and logs them and deletes the bounced email I would appreciate advise on which would be best from a maintenance point of view and efficient from conserving server resources point of view.   I have copied the web db directory(/var/lib/mysql/data/web/), when mysql is not running. I transferred this directory to another machine, where mysql is running. web db's stuff is myisam based. I am thinking about how to restore this on a different server. The strategy I have on my mind is the following. copy the data directory of web db to the new server. on new server, 'create database web', which creates a directory in /var/lib/mysql/data copy all files from the step to the new directory created in 2. bounce mysql My question: how to deal with information_schema for this new db?

  Is there anyone out there who has mastered to retrieve some data programmatically from Eloqua? First of all, I'm more or less a newbie, as far as JAVA. I can follow tutorials, take directions and will Google till my fingers bleed. I understand the basics and am slightly familiar with OOP. My main problem is that I have a Friday deadline (and tomorrow is Thanksgiving). At any rate, all the Eloqua code snippets (that I've been able to find) illustrate one aspect of a specific issue, and that's it. In my case, I would greatly appreciate a JAVA project of some sort, with all the necessary files to do web services (WSDL, SOAP and perhaps WSIT) and the main class and all that included. No, I don't want you to do my work for me! Just give me enough to find my way around, enter the information I need to retrieve and all that. I'll take it from there. Any pointers, links or suggestions?

  I have sound juicer installed and I want to rip to vorbis.ogg. Is gstreamer the best encoder for vorbis or is there a better encoding engine I should use. The default gstreamer profile is audio/x-raw-float,rate=44100,channels=2 ! vorbisenc name=enc quality=0.5 ! oggmux I am going to raise the quality to 0.7 but thats all nothing if gstreamer isn't the best encoder. Any suggestions for high quality ripping? Edit: a good answer to this will also be the top search result in google for "best vorbis encoding engine". Double Edit: It appears oggenc itself is the best encoder which rules out using sound juicer to rip cd's as it uses gstreamer. I have installed oggenc and am testing the command ripper abcde. • Screen goes nuts and unreadable

  Running Ubuntu 10.10 in its own partition, also have Oracle Virtualbox 4 with Windows XP. Because i previously had a problem with a dark screen when i let the laptop on and i didn't use it for a long while i had set Power settings to Never sleep, never let the Display sleep. Monitor on install set to Laptop resolution 1400 by 1050, refresh rate 60 Hz, rotation Normal. The problem was when the computer was left on and i returned after about an hour, the screen was unreadable, similar to what used to happen to graphics cards before multisync became normal. So it appears as though the graphics card was asked to use a resolution it couldn't handle and went nuts. I had to power off the system, on restart everything was fine. Thanks for any suggestions.   I have a edge collision problem with a simple game that i am developing. Its about throwing a coin across the screen. I am using the code below to detect edge collisions so i can make the coin bounce from the edges of the screen. Everything works as i want except one case. When the coin hits left edge and goes to right edge the system doesnt detect the collision. The rest cases are working perfectly, like hitting the right edge first and then the left edge. • Googlebot fetches my pages very frequent, rel-nofollow, meta-noindex or robots.txt-disallow

  Googlebot fetches pages in my site very frequently. And this slowens my website. I don't want Googlebot to crawl too frequent. I decreased crawl rate from Google webmaster tools. But I'm supposing to use these three tools: Adding rel="nofollow" to my inner pages. So Googlebot won't crawl and index them. Adding meta tag "noindex" so Google will remove this page from index and won't get it again. Adding Disallow: /mySomeFolder/ to robots.txt and Googlebot won't crawl that pages. I'm planning to use these methods for my 56.000 pages, except the most important 6-7 pages. Which method would you prefer and what would be disadvantages or advantages ? Or won't it change my website speed etc..

  This clever optical illusion uses sound frequency and a digital camera to “freeze” water in time and space. YouTube user MrBibio explains the hack: Creating the illusion of a static flow of water using sound. Of course this isn’t my idea and plenty more refined examples already exist. I tried this same experiment years ago but using a strobe light, but it’s harsh on the eyes after a while and hard to video successfully. It only dawned on me shortly before making this that for video purposes, no strobe light is required. This is because the frame rate and shutter of the camera is doing a similar job to the strobe. The speaker-as-frequency-generator model is definitely easier on the eyes than similar experiments that rely on high-speed strobes.   I’ve a need to create an auto-reply for some of the users in my organization where, when a person sends an E-mail to e.g. [email protected] is faced with an automatically auto-reply with some message “closed during the holidays. We are back at… etc. etc. etc.”. I’ve tried to create a Transport Rule on our Exchange server but the only option I can find in the actions-window is to reply with a “Bounce message to sender with enhanced status code” but I guess that is not the precise action I’m looking for. How can I set up a server-side auto-reply, apply it to only a fixed number of users in my organization and create a message to the senders (which is outside the organization)?

Both GAAP and non-GAAP hardware systems products revenues were down 6% to $1.2 billion. GAAP operating income was up 32% to $4.4 billion, and GAAP operating margin was 40%. Non-GAAP operating income was up 19% to $5.2 billion, and non-GAAP operating margin was 48%. GAAP net income was up 36% to $3.2 billion, while non-GAAP net income was up 27% to $3.9 billion. GAAP earnings per share were $0.62, up 34% compared to last year while non-GAAP earnings per share were up 25% to $0.75. GAAP operating cash flow on a trailing twelve-month basis was $11.2 billion. For fiscal year 2011, GAAP total revenues were up 33% to $35.6 billion, while non-GAAP total revenues were up 33% to $35.9 billion. As our results reflect, we clearly exceeded even our own high expectations for Sun’s business.” “In addition to record setting software sales, our Exadata and Exalogic systems also made a strong contribution to our growth in Q4,” said Oracle President, Mark Hurd. “Today there are more than 1,000 Exadata machines installed worldwide. Our goal is to triple that number in FY12.” “In FY11 Oracle’s database business experienced its fastest growth in a decade,” said Oracle CEO, Larry Ellison. “Over the past few years we added features to the Oracle database for both cloud computing and in-memory databases that led to increased database sales this past year. • Sending single emails works, but sending to the same email in a distribution list is bounced

  I'm running an Exchange 2003 server on a Telstra Business internet connection (in Australia). I'm routing emails through the SMTP connecter, using the host smtp.telstrabusiness.com When users send single emails to a single recipient, the emails are sent correctly. However, when users send emails to a distribution list, they bounce back with: The message could not be delivered because the recipient's destination email system is unknown or invalid. Please check the address and try again, or contact your system administrator to verify connectivity to the email system of the recipient. One of the people in the list was able to recieve a single email from us just a few minutes afterwards, but did not recieve any of the email that should have come from the distribution list. Is there a way I can throttle the number of messages that Exchange will send at a time, so as not to appear as spam to Telstra?

  This one is mainly a personal reminder but I hope it helps somebody else too. Let's say you have a table that covers something like currency exchange rates with columns for the start and end dates of the period each rate was applicable. Now you need to list the rates that applied during the year 2009. For some reason this always fazes me and I have to work it out with a diagram. So here's the recipe so I never have to do that again: select  * from    ExchangeRate where   StartDate < '31-DEC-2009'         and EndDate > '01-JAN-2009'   That is all!

• Is it true that quickly closing a webpage opened from a search engine result can hurt the site's ranking?

  My web designer recently told me that I need to be careful not to Google for my business' website, click on its search result link, then quickly close the page (or click back) too many times. He says "Google knows" that I didn't stay on the page, and could penalize my site for having a high click-through rate if it happens too much (it was something along those lines- I forget the exact wording). Apparently, it could look like the behavior of a visitor who was not interested in what they found (hence the alleged detrimental effect on the site's search ranking). This sounds hard to believe to me because I would not have thought any information is transmitted which tells Google (or anyone, for that matter) whether or not a website is still open in a browser (in my case Firefox v25.0). Could there possibly be any truth to this? If not, why might he have come to this conclusion? Is there some click-tracking or similar technology employed by search engines which does something similar? Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts.

• Redirecting wildcard emails to one email with postfix

  I'm creating a bounce email system where emails can reply to messages on my site. However when the emails are sent to the user containing the previous message, the Reply-To field contains an email something like this [email protected] (which contains the ID at the end). If the user replies, the reply message will be sent back to [email protected] which of course, doesn't have its own mailbox, except the [email protected]. How would I redirect all incoming messages coming from a specific wildcard notification-message-*@mysite.com to [email protected]? I did some research, but no solid part worked, including the luser_relay = [email protected] and putting notification-message-* in the postfix aliases table, the notification@ has a Maildir, so the emails would go into it. I am using Ubuntu 11.04.
