    I know this may be the simplest question ever asked on Stack Overflow, but what is the regular expression for a decimal with a precision of 2? Valid examples: 123.12 2 56754 92929292929292.12 0.21 3.1 Invalid examples: 12.1232 2.23332 e666.76 Sorry for the lame question, but for the life of me I haven't been able to find anyone that can help! The decimal place may be option, and that integers may also be included.

  • Determining the order of a list of numbers (possibly without sorting)

    I have an array of unique integers (e.g. val[i]), in arbitrary order, and I would like to populate another array (ord[i]) with the the sorted indexes of the integers. In other words, val[ord[i]] is in sorted order for increasing i. Right now, I just fill in ord with 0, ..., N, then sort it based on the value array, but I am wondering if we can be more efficient about it since ord is not populated to begin with. This is more of a question out of curiousity; I don't really care about the extra overhead from having to prepopulate a list and then sort it (it's small, I use insertion sort). This may be a silly question with an obvious answer, but I couldn't find anything online.

For example, if I have the number 190 then I expect to find the more approximated value in the Enum to return the 192 (kbps_192 value of the Enum), if I have the number 196 then again I expect to return the value 192 (not return the next value 224 because is less approximated).     Given A,B print the number of pairs (a,b) such that GCD(a,b)=1 and 1<=a<=A and 1<=b<=B. Here is my answer: return len([(x,y) for x in range(1,A+1) for y in range(1,B+1) if gcd(x,y) == 1]) My answer works fine for small ranges but takes enough time if the range is increased. such as 1 <= A <= 10^5 1 <= B <= 10^5 is there a better way to write this or can this be optimized?

    i would like to write a simple line of code, without resorting to if statements, that would evaluate whether a number is within a certain range. i can evaluate from 0 - Max by using the modulus. 30 % 90 = 30 //great however, if the test number is greater than the maximum, using modulus will simply start it at 0 for the remaining, where as i would like to limit it to the maximum if it's past the maximum 94 % 90 = 4 //i would like answer to be 90 it becomes even more complicated, to me anyway, if i introduce a minimum for the range. for example: minimum = 10 maximum = 90 therefore, any number i evaluate should be either within range, or the minimum value if it's below range and the maximum value if it's above range -76 should be 10 2 should be 10 30 should be 30 89 should be 89 98 should be 90 23553 should be 90 is it possible to evaluate this with one line of code without using if statements?

    This is a followup to this question. The accepted answer is generally sufficient, but requires user to supply personal information (e.g. name) for generating the key. I'm wondering if it's possible to generate different keys based on a common seed, in a way that program would be able to validate if those keys belong to particular product, but without making this process obvious to the end user. I mean it could be a hash of product ID plus some random sequence of characters, but that would allow user to guess potential new keys. There should be some sort of algorithm difficult to guess.

  • PHP Fatal error on line number that doesn't exist

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 523800 bytes) in /Library/WebServer/Documents/XMLDataStore.class.php on line 981 The curious thing about this error is not the memory leak, which would be easy enough to troubleshoot. Rather, it is the fact that XMLDataStore.class.php is only 850 lines long, which I have verified in multiple text editors. This is with the PHP 5.3 bundled with Snow Leopard. I'm not using an opcode cache. Here is my php.ini: allow_url_fopen = Off error_reporting = -1 display_errors = 1 display_startup_errors = 1 date.timezone = 'America/Los_Angeles' output_buffering = Off realpath_cache_size = 0k XMLDataStore.class.php has recently been refactored and it used to be longer than 981 lines. It's almost as if PHP has cached a 2-week-old version and is reading that. I'm positive that the current version at /Library/WebServer/Documents/XMLDataStore.class.php is only 850 lines long, though.

    I have an access report that generates 36505 pages (un filtered, and about half of each page is taken up by group headers and page headers) , though the footer at the bottom of the report page says "36505 of -29031". This looks like an overflow problem maybe, though I'm confused how it got the current page number of the last page OK, but failed to get total page count. Has anyone dealt with this before?

    About the script: The script below will create 300 sets of random characters. What is presently happening, is that it creates them but shows them all on one line, in one big chunk. With all the searching and testing I've done to try and achieve this, I have had no success. I would like to know which code and where to put it, so that each SET (300) of 15 characters long, will show and be saved to file.     Problem: Visual C++ 10 project (using MFC and Boost libraries). In one of my methods I'm reading simple test.txt file. Here is what inside of the file (std::string): 12 asdf789, 54,19 1000 nsfewer:22!13 Then I'm reading it and I have to convert all digits to int only with boost methods. For example, I have a list of different characters which I have to parse: ( ’ ' ) ( [ ], ( ), { }, ? ? ) ( : ) ( , ) ( ! ) ( . ) ( - ) ( ? ) ( ‘ ’, “ ”, « » ) ( ; ) ( / ) And after conversation I must have some kind of a massive of int's values, like this one: 12,789,54,19,1000,22,13 Maybe some one already did this job? PS. I'm new for boost. Thanks!

  • pyPDF - Retrieve page numbers from document

    At the moment I'm looking into doing some PDF merging with pyPdf, but sometimes the inputs are not in the right order, so I'm looking into scraping each page for its page number to determine the order it should go in (e.g. if someone split up a book into 20 10-page PDFs and I want to put them back together). I have two questions - 1.) I know that sometimes the page number is stored in the document data somewhere, as I've seen PDFs that render on Adobe as something like [1243] (10 of 150), but I've read documents of this sort into pyPDF and I can't find any information indicating the page number - where is this stored? 2.) If avenue #1 isn't available, I think I could iterate through the objects on a given page to try to find a page number - likely it would be its own object that has a single number in it. However, I can't seem to find any clear way to determine the contents of objects. If I run: pdf.getPage(0).getContents() This usually either returns: {'/Filter': '/FlateDecode'} or it returns a list of IndirectObject(num, num) objects. I don't really know what to do with either of these and there's no real documentation on it as far as I can tell. Is anyone familiar with this kind of thing that could point me in the right direction?

    Hi there . I'm confusing about opening different threads with OpenThread Function and examining them with NtQueryInformationThread native function . I have no problem with NtQueryInformationThread & I can examine them finely. the problem is I don't know how to loop through different number of threads using OpenThread (with SetDebugPrivilege Consideration) . suppose we have different threads from number 5100 to 5200 & we want to examine them sequentially : for example 5100, 5101, 5102, 5103, 5104, 5105 ... 5200 ... . I don't know how to use OpenThread Function in delphi in right way ... . I'm using this syntax & I found it wrong : OpenThread(THREAD_ALL_ACCESS,false,(DWORD)5100) . if anyone could guide me how to use OpenThread though different number of threads it would be great . thanks alot .
