  • Custom RoleProvider: Can't insert record in UsersInRole Table

    - by mahr.g.mohyuddin
    Hi, I have implemented a LINQ to SQL based RoleProvider, when I assign role to a user following exception is thrown while AddUsersToRoles method is called. I have defined a composite primary key userid & roleId on this table, it still throwing this exception: Can't perform Create, Update or Delete operations on 'Table(UsersInRole)' because it has no primary key. My LinQ to SQL implementation of AddUsersToRoles method is as follows. It breaks at db.UsersInRoles.InsertOnSubmit(userInRole); using (RussarmsDataContext db = new RussarmsDataContext()) { List<UsersInRole> usersInRole = new List<UsersInRole>(); foreach (string username in usernames) { foreach (string rolename in rolenames) { UsersInRole userInRole = new UsersInRole(); object userId = ProvidersUtility.GetUserIdByUserName(username,applicationName); object roleId = ProvidersUtility.GetRoleIdByRoleName(rolename,applicationName); if (userId != null && roleId != null) { userInRole.UserId = (Guid)userId; userInRole.RoleId = (Guid)roleId; db.UsersInRoles.InsertOnSubmit(userInRole); } } } try { // db.UsersInRoles.InsertAllOnSubmit(usersInRole); db.SubmitChanges(); } catch (ChangeConflictException) { db.ChangeConflicts.ResolveAll(RefreshMode.OverwriteCurrentValues); db.SubmitChanges(); } } Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Unexpected Html.EditorFor behavior in ASP.NET MVC 2

    - by NickLarsen
    I am getting some unexpected behavior from Html.EditorFor(). I have this controller: [HandleError] public class HomeController : Controller { [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Get)] public ActionResult Lister() { string[] values = { "Hello", "world", "!!!" }; return View(values); } [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] public ActionResult Lister(string[] values) { string[] newValues = { "Some", "other", "values" }; return View(newValues); } } And this is my view which is intended to work for both of these: <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<string[]>" %> <asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="TitleContent" runat="server"> Lister </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent" runat="server"> <h2>Lister</h2> <% using (Html.BeginForm()) { %> <% foreach (string value in Model) { %> <%= value %><br /> <% } %> <%= Html.EditorForModel() %> <input type="submit" value="Append Dashes" /> <% } %> </asp:Content> And the problem is that when the post back is made from the view, it hits the correct action, but the text boxes still show the original hello world data while the foreach loop outputs the new values. It feels like something in ASP.NET is overriding my model values from updating the text boxes and they are just displaying the same old values. I found this issue while trying to learn EditorFor with an IEnumerable.

  • Linq to SQL not inserting data onto the DB

    - by Jesus Rodriguez
    Hello! I have a little / weird behaviour here and Im looking over internet and SO and I didn't find a response. I have to admit that this is my first time using databases, I know how to use them with SQL but never used it actually. Anyway, I have a problem with my app inserting data, I just created a very simple project for testing that and no solution yet. I have an example database with Sql Server Id - int (identity primary key) Name - nchar(10) (not null) The table is called "Person", simple as pie. I have this: static void Main(string[] args) { var db = new ExampleDBDataContext {Log = Console.Out}; var jesus = new Person {Name = "Jesus"}; db.Persons.InsertOnSubmit(jesus); db.SubmitChanges(); var query = from person in db.Persons select person; foreach (var p in query) { Console.WriteLine(p.Name); } } As you can see, nothing extrange. It show Jesus in the console. But if you see the table data, there is no data, just empty. I comment the object creation and insertion and the foreach doesn't print a thing (normal, there is no data in the database) The weird thing is that I created a row in the database manually and the Id was 2 and no 1 (Was the linq really playing with the database but it didn't create the row?) There is the log: INSERT INTO [dbo].Person VALUES (@p0) SELECT CONVERT(Int,SCOPE_IDENTITY()) AS [value] -- @p0: Input NChar (Size = 10; Prec = 0; Scale = 0) [Jesus] -- Context: SqlProvider(Sql2005) Model: AttributedMetaModel Build: 3.5.30729.4926 SELECT [t0].[Id], [t0].[Name] FROM [dbo].[Person] AS [t0] -- Context: SqlProvider(Sql2005) Model: AttributedMetaModel Build: 3.5.30729.4926 I am really confused, All the blogs / books use this kind of snippet to insert an element to a database. Thank you for helping.

  • Nonblocking Tcp server

    - by hoodoos
    It's not a question really, i'm just looking for some guidelines :) I'm currently writing some abstract tcp server which should use as low number of threads as it can. Currently it works this way. I have a thread doing listening and some worker threads. Listener thread is just sits and wait for clients to connect I expect to have a single listener thread per server instance. Worker threads are doing all read/write/processing job on clients socket. So my problem is in building efficient worker process. And I came to some problem I can't really solve yet. Worker code is something like that(code is really simple just to show a place where i have my problem): List<Socket> readSockets = new List<Socket>(); List<Socket> writeSockets = new List<Socket>(); List<Socket> errorSockets = new List<Socket>(); while( true ){ Socket.Select( readSockets, writeSockets, errorSockets, 10 ); foreach( readSocket in readSockets ){ // do reading here } foreach( writeSocket in writeSockets ){ // do writing here } // POINT2 and here's the problem i will describe below } it works all smothly accept for 100% CPU utilization because of while loop being cycling all over again, if I have my clients doing send-receive-disconnect routine it's not that painful, but if I try to keep alive doing send-receive-send-receive all over again it really eats up all CPU. So my first idea was to put a sleep there, I check if all sockets have their data send and then putting Thread.Sleep in POINT2 just for 10ms, but this 10ms later on produces a huge delay of that 10ms when I want to receive next command from client socket.. For example if I don't try to "keep alive" commands are being executed within 10-15ms and with keep alive it becomes worse by atleast 10ms :( Maybe it's just a poor architecture? What can be done so my processor won't get 100% utilization and my server to react on something appear in client socket as soon as possible? Maybe somebody can point a good example of nonblocking server and architecture it should maintain?

  • Marshalling C# com items when using recursion

    I am using the SourceSafe COM object (SourceSafeTypeLib) from C# to automate a SourceSafe recursive get (part of a larger build process). The recursive function is shown below. How do I ensure that all the COM objects created in the foreach loop get released correctly? /// <summary> /// Recursively gets files/projects from SourceSafe (this is a recursive function). /// </summary> /// <param name="vssItem">The VSSItem to get</param> private void GetChangedFiles(VSSItem vssItem) { // 'If the object is a file perform the diff, // 'If not, it is a project, so use recursion to go through it if(vssItem.Type == (int)VSSItemType.VSSITEM_FILE) { bool bDifferent = false; //file is different bool bNew = false; //file is new //Surround the diff in a try-catch block. If a file is new(doesn't exist on //the local filesystem) an error will be thrown. • Serializing Complex ViewModel with Json.Net Destabilization Error on Latest Version

    - by dreadlocks1221
    I just added the latest Version of JSON.Net and I get the System.Security.VerificationException: Operation could destabilize the runtime error when trying to use a controller (while running the application). I read in other posts that this issue should have been fixed in release 6 but I still have the problem. I even added *Newtonsoft.* to the ignore modules in the intellitrace options, which seems to have suppressed the error, but the post will just run forever and not return anything. Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated. • Entity Framework lazy loading doesn't work from other thread

    - by Thomas Levesque
    Hi, I just found out that lazy loading in Entity Framework only works from the thread that created the ObjectContext. To illustrate the problem, I did a simple test, with a simple model containing just 2 entities : Person and Address. Here's the code : private static void TestSingleThread() { using (var context = new TestDBContext()) { foreach (var p in context.Person) { Console.WriteLine("{0} lives in {1}.", p.Name, p.Address.City); } } } private static void TestMultiThread() { using (var context = new TestDBContext()) { foreach (var p in context.Person) { Person p2 = p; // to avoid capturing the loop variable ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem( arg => { Console.WriteLine("{0} lives in {1}.", p2.Name, p2.Address.City); }); } } } The TestSingleThread method works fine, the Address property is lazily loaded. But in TestMultiThread, I get a NullReferenceException on p2.Address.City, because p2.Address is null. It that a bug ? Is this the way it's supposed to work ? If so, is there any documentation mentioning it ? I couldn't find anything on the subject on MSDN or Google... And more importantly, is there a workaround ? (other than explicitly calling LoadProperty from the worker thread...) Any help would be very appreciated PS: I'm using VS2010, so it's EF 4.0. I don't know if it was the same in the previous version of EF...

  • Linq-To-Entities group by

    - by Oskar Kjellin
    Hey, I'm building a software for timereporting I have a Dictionary<string, Dictionary<string, double>>. The key in the main dictionary is a users name and their value is a dictionary of . I have a function GetDepartment(string UserName) which returns a string with the users department. What I want is to crate a new dictionary, of the same type, that has the department as the main key and in the subdictionary a where hours is the total for that department. I have been trying to do this with linq but did not succeed. Would be very glad for some help here! EDIT: This code does exactly what I want. But I want it in LINQ Dictionary<string, Dictionary<string, double>> temphours = new Dictionary<string, Dictionary<string, double>>(); ; foreach (var user in hours) { string department = GetDepartment(user.Key); if (!temphours.ContainsKey(department)) { temphours.Add(department, new Dictionary<string, double>()); } foreach (var customerReport in user.Value) { if (!temphours[department].ContainsKey(customerReport.Key)) { temphours[department].Add(customerReport.Key, 0); } temphours[department][customerReport.Key] += customerReport.Value; } }

  • Replace text in word textbox objects using VSTO and C#

    - by Roberto
    Hi, I have to find/replace text from a word document. It works fine for plain text spread through the document, however when the text is in a textbox, the standard find/replace approach doesn't reach it. I found a vba solution, however since I am working in C#, I would like to find a solution in C#. The word document is in 2007 format and my visual studio is 2010. I am using .Net Framework 3.5, but if required, I can consider moving to 4.0. Here is the code for the find/replace that only works with plain text (not in word textbox objects): object Missing = System.Reflection.Missing.Value; object fileToOpen = (object)@"c:\doc.docx"; object fileToSave = (object)@"c:\doc.docx"; Word.Application app = new Word.ApplicationClass(); Word.Document doc = new Word.Document(); try { doc = app.Documents.Open(ref fileToOpen, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing); object replaceAll = Word.WdReplace.wdReplaceAll; app.Selection.Find.ClearFormatting(); app.Selection.Find.Text = "MyTextForReplacement"; app.Selection.Find.Replacement.ClearFormatting(); app.Selection.Find.Replacement.Text = "Found you!"; app.Selection.Find.Execute( ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref replaceAll, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing, ref Missing); I also tried using the below code, but didn't work as well: foreach(Word.Shape s in app.ActiveDocument.Shapes) { if(s.TextFrame.HasText >= 1) //The value is always 0 or -1, and even leaving 0 go forward, // it doesn't work, because there is no text in there... { foreach(Word.Field f in s.TextFrame.TextRange.Fields) { switch( f.Type) { . . //I never reached this point . } } } Any help will be appreciated... Thanks, -- Roberto Lopes

  • WCF configuration and ISA Proxies

    - by Morten Louw Nielsen
    Hi, I have a setup with a .NET WCF Service hosted on IIS. The client apps are connecting to the service through a set of ISA proxy's. I don't know how many and don't know about their configuration etc. In the client apps I open a client to the service and make several calls via the same client. It works great in my office, but when I deploy at the customer (using the ISAs), after some calls, the connection breaks. In a successfull case, the client will maximum live a few seconds, but is that too much? I think there might be several proxyes. Maybe it's using load ballancing. pseudo code is something like this: WcfClient myClient = new WcfClient(); foreach (WorkItem Item in WorkItemsStack) myClient.ProcessItem(Item); myClient.Close(); I am thinking whether I have to do something like this foreach (WorkItem Item in WorkItemsStack) { WcfClient myClient = new WcfClient(); myClient.ProcessItem(Item); myClient.Close(); } Any one with experience with this field? Kind Regards, Morten, Denmark

  • How to optimize this algorithm?

    - by Bakhtiyor
    I have two sets of arrays like this for example. $Arr1['uid'][]='user 1'; $Arr1['weight'][]=1; $Arr1['uid'][]='user 2'; $Arr1['weight'][]=10; $Arr1['uid'][]='user 3'; $Arr1['weight'][]=5; $Arr2['uid'][]='user 1'; $Arr2['weight'][]=3; $Arr2['uid'][]='user 4'; $Arr2['weight'][]=20; $Arr2['uid'][]='user 5'; $Arr2['weight'][]=15; $Arr2['uid'][]='user 2'; $Arr2['weight'][]=2; The size of two arrays could be different of course. $Arr1 has coefficient of 0.7 and $Arr2 has coefficient of 0.3. I need to calculate following formula $result=$Arr1['weight'][$index]*$Arr1Coeff+$Arr2['weight'][$index]*$Arr2Coeff; where $Arr1['uid']=$Arr2['uid']. So when $Arr1['uid'] doesn't exists in $Arr2 then we need to omit $Arr2 and vice versa. And, here is an algorithm I am using now. foreach($Arr1['uid'] as $index=>$arr1_uid){ $pos=array_search($arr1_uid, $Arr2['uid']); if ($pos===false){ $result=$Arr1['weight'][$index]*$Arr1Coeff; echo "<br>$arr1_uid has not found and RES=".$result; }else{ $result=$Arr1['weight'][$index]*$Arr1Coeff+$Arr2['weight'][$pos]*$Arr2Coeff; echo "<br>$arr1_uid has found on $pos and RES=".$result; } } foreach($Arr2['uid'] as $index=>$arr2_uid){ if (!in_array($arr2_uid, $Arr1['uid'])){ $result=$Arr2['weight'][$index]*$Arr2Coeff; echo "<br>$arr2_uid has not found and RES=".$result; }else{ echo "<br>$arr2_uid has found somewhere"; } } The question is how can I optimize this algorithm? Can you offer other better solution for this problem? Thank you.

  • How to use Castle Windsor with ASP.Net web forms?

    - by Xian
    I am trying to wire up dependency injection with Windsor to standard asp.net web forms. I think I have achieved this using a HttpModule and a CustomAttribute (code shown below), although the solution seems a little clunky and was wondering if there is a better supported solution out of the box with Windsor? • Changing App.config at Runtime

    - by born to hula
    I'm writing a test winforms / C# / .NET 3.5 application for the system we're developing and we fell in the need to switch between .config files at runtime, but this is turning out to be a nightmare. Here's the scene: the Winforms application is aimed at testing a WebApp, divided into 5 subsystems. The test proccess works with messages being sent between the subsystems, and for this proccess to be sucessful each subsystem got to have its own .config file. For my Test Application I wrote 5 separate configuration files. I wish I was able to switch between these 5 files during runtime, but the problem is: I can programatically edit the application .config file inumerous times, but these changes will only take effect once. I've been searching a long time for a form to address this problem but I still wasn't sucessful. I know the problem definition may be a bit confusing but I would really appreciate it if someone helped me. Thanks in advance! --- UPDATE 01-06-10 --- There's something I didn't mention before. Originally, our system is a Web Application with WCF calls between each subsystem. For performance testing reasons (we're using ANTS 4), we had to create a local copy of the assemblies and reference them from the test project. It may sound a bit wrong, but we couldn't find a satisfying way to measure performance of a remote application. --- End Update --- Here's what I'm doing: public void UpdateAppSettings(string key, string value) { XmlDocument xmlDoc = new XmlDocument(); xmlDoc.Load(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.SetupInformation.ConfigurationFile); foreach (XmlElement item in xmlDoc.DocumentElement) { foreach (XmlNode node in item.ChildNodes) { if (node.Name == key) { node.Attributes[0].Value = value; break; } } } xmlDoc.Save(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.SetupInformation.ConfigurationFile); System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.RefreshSection("section/subSection"); }

  • Linq Query to Update Nested Array Items?

    - by Brett
    I have an object structure generated from xsd.exe. Roughly, it consists of 3 nested arrays: protocols, sources and reports. The xml looks like this: <protocols> <protocol> <source> <report /> <report /> </source> <source> <report /> <report /> </source> </protocol> <!-- more protocols --> </protocols> I need to update a single "Report" within the data structure. A brute force algorithm is shown below. I know that this could be done using XDocument and Linq, but I'd prefer to update the data structure and then serialize the structure back to disk. Thoughts? Brett bool updated = false; foreach (ProtocolsProtocol protocol in protocols.Protocol) { if (updated) break; foreach (ProtocolsProtocolSource source in protocol.Source) { if (updated) break; for (int i = 0; i < source.Report.Length; i++) { ProtocolsProtocolSourceReport currentReport = source.Report[i]; if (currentReport.Id == report.Id) { currentReport.Attribute1 = report.Attribute1; currentReport.Attribute2 = report.Attribute2; updated = true; break; } } } }

    HI I have a DataGrid (yes would be nicer if it was a gridview but nothing i can do about that) in the itemDataBound event i am adding a hidden field into the first cell of each row I am setting its ID based on something, and then saving its clientID in a List for later attempts to get the value from it but try as i might i cant find anything with findcontrol have tried here is the itemdatabound bit foreach(page in datasource){ HiddenField hidOrder = new HiddenField(); hidOrder.ID = "order_" + page.Id.ToString(); hidOrder.Value = page.Ordering.ToString(); e.Item.Cells[0].Controls.Add(hidOrder); idList.Add(hidOrder.ClientID); } then this is a button click event.. int numRows = FrontEndDataGrid.Items.Count; for (int i = 0; i < numRows; i++){ foreach(string hidID in idList){ HiddenField hf = FrontEndDataGrid.Items[i].FindControl(hidID) as HiddenField; //ssadly this never finds anything //have also tried looping around the cells for each 'row' - no luck there either } } any ideas? thanks nat

  • Getting duplicate key values in array

    - by WmasterJ
    For some reason when trying to populate an array I am not getting the desired result. In the first part I create an array of arrays, the key of each has a name such as "Biology Education". But when I then populate that same array it doesn't for some reason use the same array element but a new one. So part 1 results in an array with 13 array elements (empty). After part 2 has run the array has 26 array elements, with the first 13 empty and the other 13 populated as wanted. The reason why I want to work is that the first 13 array elements are sorted. The last 13 are jumbled. Why is this happening and how can I correct it? // PART 1 // Create array of research areas $research_result = db_fetch_array($research['research_query_result']); $research['areas'] = explode("\n", $research_result['options']); // Put the values as key and every key the new value of an array object $research['areas'] = array_fill_keys($research['areas'], array()); // PART 2 foreach($research['user'] as $uid => &$user_object) { $user_object->profile_research_areas = explode(", ", $user_object->profile_research_areas); foreach($user_object->profile_research_areas as $key => $area) { $research['areas'][$area][] = $uid; } }

  • Problem Activating Sharepoint Timer Job

    - by Ben Robinson
    I have created a very simple sharepoint timer job. All i want it to do is iterate through a list and update each list item so that it triggers an existing workflow that works fine. In other words all i am trying to do is work around the limitation that workflows cannot be triggered on a scheduled basis. I have written a class that inherits from SPJobDefinition that does the work and i have a class that inherits from SPFeatureReceiver to install and activate it. I have created the feature using SPVisualdev that my coleagues have used in the past for other SP development. My Job class is below: public class DriverSafetyCheckTrigger : SPJobDefinition { private string pi_SiteUrl; public DriverSafetyCheckTrigger(string SiteURL, SPWebApplication WebApp):base("DriverSafetyCheckTrigger",WebApp,null, SPJobLockType.Job) { this.Title = "DriverSafetyCheckTrigger"; pi_SiteUrl = SiteURL; } public override void Execute(Guid targetInstanceId) { using (SPSite siteCollection = new SPSite(pi_SiteUrl)) { using (SPWeb site = siteCollection.RootWeb) { SPList taskList = site.Lists["Driver Safety Check"]; foreach(SPListItem item in taskList.Items) { item.Update(); } } } } } And the only thing in the feature reciever class is that i have overridden the FeatureActivated method below: public override void FeatureActivated(SPFeatureReceiverProperties Properties) { SPSite site = Properties.Feature.Parent as SPSite; // Make sure the job isn't already registered. foreach (SPJobDefinition job in site.WebApplication.JobDefinitions) { if (job.Name == "DriverSafetyCheckTrigger") job.Delete(); } // Install the job. DriverSafetyCheckTrigger oDriverSafetyCheckTrigger = new DriverSafetyCheckTrigger(site.Url, site.WebApplication); SPDailySchedule oSchedule = new SPDailySchedule(); oSchedule.BeginHour = 1; oDriverSafetyCheckTrigger.Schedule = oSchedule; oDriverSafetyCheckTrigger.Update(); } The problem i have is that when i try to activate the feature it throws a NullReferenceException on the line oDriverSafetyCheckTrigger.Update(). I am not sure what is null in this case, the example i have followed for this is this tutorial. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

  • template engine implementation

    - by qwerty
    I am currently building this small template engine. It takes a string containing the template in parameter, and a dictionary of "tags,values" to fill in the template. In the engine, I have no idea of the tags that will be in the template and the ones that won't. I am currently iterating (foreach) on the dictionnary, parsing my string that I have put in a string builder, and replacing the tags in the template by their corresponding value. Is there a more efficient/convenient way of doing this? I know the main drawback here is that the stringbuilder is parsed everytime entirely for each tag, which is quite bad... (I am also checking, though not included in the sample, after the process that my template does not contain any tag anymore. They are all formated in the same way: @@tag@@) //Dictionary<string, string> tagsValueCorrespondence; //string template; StringBuilder outputBuilder = new StringBuilder(template); foreach (string tag in tagsValueCorrespondence.Keys) { outputBuilder.Replace(tag, tagsValueCorrespondence[tag]); } template = outputBuilder.ToString(); Responses: @Marc: string template = "Some @@foobar@@ text in a @@bar@@ template"; StringDictionary data = new StringDictionary(); data.Add("foo", "value1"); data.Add("bar", "value2"); data.Add("foo2bar", "value3"); Output: "Some text in a value2 template" instead of: "Some @@foobar@@ text in a value2 template"

  • IRequest / IResponse Pattern

    - by traderde
    I am trying to create an Interface-based Request/Response pattern for Web API requests to allow for asynchronous consumer/producer processing, but not sure how I would know what the underlying IResponse class is. public void Run() { List<IRequest> requests = new List<IRequest>(); List<IResponse> responses = new List<IResponse(); requests.Add(AmazonWebRequest); //should be object, trying to keep it simple requests.Add(EBayWebRequest); //should be object, trying to keep it simple foreach (IRequest req in requests) { responses.Add(req.GetResponse()); } foreach (IResponse resp in response) { typeof resp???? } } interface IRequest { IResponse GetResponse(); } interface IResponse { } public class AmazonWebServiceRequest : IRequest { public AmazonWebServiceRequest() { //get data; } public IResponse GetResponse() { AmazonWebServiceRequest request = new AmazonWebServiceRequest(); return (IResponse)request; } } public class AmazonWebServiceResponse : IResponse { XmlDocument _xml; public AmazonWebServiceResponse(XmlDocument xml) { _xml = xml; _parseXml(); } private void _parseXml() { //parse Xml into object; } } public class EBayWebRequest : IRequest { public EBayWebRequest () { //get data; } public IResponse GetResponse() { EBayWebRequest request = new EBayWebRequest(); return (IResponse)request; } } public class EBayWebResponse : IResponse { XmlDocument _xml; public EBayWebResponse(XmlDocument xml) { _xml = xml; _parseXml(); } private void _parseXml() { //parse Xml into object; } }

  • Facebook connect PHP API - friends_get() returns empty array

    - by Soufiane Hassou
    Couple of hours ago I succeed to get friends_get() to return an array of friends, but, now I don't know if it is my fault or something is wrong in facebooks' end (API problems?). Anyway I used a code from their documentation: <?php require_once 'facebook-platform/php/facebook.php'; $appapikey = ''; //CHANGE THIS $appsecret = ''; //CHANGE THIS $facebook = new Facebook($appapikey, $appsecret); //$user_id = $facebook->require_login(); $fb_user=$facebook->get_loggedin_user(); //$fb_user = $facebook->user; $friends = $facebook->api_client->friends_get(); $friends = array_slice($friends, 0, 10); $i=0; foreach ($friends as $friend) { $personArray = $facebook->api_client->users_getInfo($friend,"name"); $person[$i]=$personArray[0]; $i++; } $i=0; foreach ($person as $f) { echo " ".$f['name']; //MORE DETAILS HERE IN STEP 2 echo "<br />"; $i++; } echo "<br />"; ?> The login is working great, but, I can't retrieve the list of friends and I test also with api_client->pages_isFan and it doesn't seem to work too (says not a fan while the user is).

  • Cannot Cache NHibernate Future Criteria Results

    - by Emilian
    I have the following code: public void FuturesQuery() { using (var session = SessionFactory.OpenSession()) { var blogs = session.CreateCriteria<Blog>() .SetMaxResults(5) .SetCacheable(true) .SetCacheMode(CacheMode.Normal) .SetCacheRegion("BlogQuery") .Future<Blog>(); var countOfBlogs = session.CreateCriteria<Blog>() .SetProjection(Projections.Count(Projections.Id())) .SetCacheable(true) .SetCacheMode(CacheMode.Normal) .SetCacheRegion("BlogQuery") .FutureValue<int>(); Console.WriteLine("Number of blogs: {0}", countOfBlogs.Value); foreach (var blog in blogs) { Console.WriteLine(blog.Title); } } using (var session = SessionFactory.OpenSession()) { var blogs = session.CreateCriteria<Blog>() .SetMaxResults(5) .SetCacheable(true) .SetCacheMode(CacheMode.Normal) .SetCacheRegion("BlogQuery") .Future<Blog>(); var countOfBlogs = session.CreateCriteria<Blog>() .SetProjection(Projections.Count(Projections.Id())) .SetCacheable(true) .SetCacheMode(CacheMode.Normal) .SetCacheRegion("BlogQuery") .FutureValue<int>(); Console.WriteLine("Number of blogs: {0}", countOfBlogs.Value); foreach (var blog in blogs) { Console.WriteLine(blog.Title); } } } I was expecting that the second time I query for blogs and count of blogs I will get values from cache but instead the queries hit the database. If I don't use Futures I get the expected results. Does this means that results from Criteria using futures cannot be cached?
