  Hello guys, As a .net developer main c#, I want to know what would be the best approach for me to develop Phone application that runs on major phones. Just to let you know Iphone is out of the question because of the costs that are involved, not ready to buy Mac book. I want something I can develop within Windows operating system, Android could have been the best option but it does not integrated well with .net. Any idea please ? Terry

  What would happen if an ordinary .exe file is copied to explorer.exe? Will it be automatically running as long as explorer.exe is running? This seems like a major security whole...is it even possible? Does anti-virus protect against that sort of thing?

  I am a designer whose main marketing strategy is multi browser compatibility. I assure my clients that the site will work even in IE6 (!). Of late i have been pondering over the question of moving to HTML 5. The reason behind my apprehension is that IE6 is still a major player in terms of market share and i don't want to lose it. Is there any way of moving to HTML 5 and still promise multi browser compatibility? Thank you.

• How can I use fossil (DVCS) in a home environment?

  I'm trying fossil as my new VCS, since I'm a lone developer working on small projects. I started testing fossil but I encountered a (probably major newbie) problem. How does one push or pull to another directory (which is easy on Hg). Fossil pull or push commands expect a URL and not a directory. When I start a server in one directory and try to push from another directory I get the "server loop" error message. Any ideas?

• How to roll back a google app engine transaction via web interface?

  I tried to update my app on google appengine by my wireless dropped during the process. When i tried again i got an error "Another transaction by user ajakimov is already in progress for this app and major version."   Hello, In the assemblyInfo.cs I have AssemblyVersion and AssemblyFileVersion. Normally I just increment the AssemblyVersion like this. 1st digit: Major change 2nd digit: Minor change 3rd digit: bug fixes 4rd digit: Subversion revision number However, I am wondering what is the AssemblyFileVersion for, and when do I need to increment. Should it be the same as the assemblyVersion? Should I just comment it out, if I am not using it? Many thanks for any advice,

I am using the "MSF for Agile... v4.2" template as the base template and would like to set the version control settings of the "Project Management" document library todo the following: Major Versions : Enabled Documents must be checked our before they can be edited I'm using the editor GUI provided by the tfs powertools, however it does not appear these settings are available. • Any XmlSerialization Limitations in WCF (as opposed to DataContract)?

  Is there anything I might regret later, i.e. any major limitations if we choose XmlSerialization instead of DataContract? Until now, we have embraced the schema first contract design.   Python says I need 4 bytes for a format code of "BH": struct.error: unpack requires a string argument of length 4 Here is the code, I am putting in 3 bytes as I think is needed: major, minor = struct.unpack("BH", self.fp.read(3)) "B" = Unsigned char (1 byte) + "H" unsigned short (2 bytes) = 3 bytes (!?) struct.calcsize("BH") says 4 bytes.
