  • How to get the coordinates of an image mouse click in the event handler?

    In the following WPF app, I have an Image in a ContentControl. When the user clicks on the image, how can I get the x/y coordinates of where the mouse clicked on the image? XAML: <Window x:Class="TestClick828374.Window1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="Window1" Height="300" Width="300"> <StackPanel Margin="10"> <ContentControl Content="{Binding TheImage}" MouseDown="ContentControl_MouseDown"/> </StackPanel> </Window> Code-Behind: using System; using System.Windows; using System.Windows.Controls; using System.Windows.Media; using System.Windows.Media.Imaging; using System.ComponentModel; namespace TestClick828374 { public partial class Window1 : Window, INotifyPropertyChanged { #region ViewModelProperty: TheImage private Image _theImage; public Image TheImage { get { return _theImage; } set { _theImage = value; OnPropertyChanged("TheImage"); } } #endregion public Window1() { InitializeComponent(); DataContext = this; TheImage = new Image(); TheImage.Source = new BitmapImage(new Uri(@"c:\test\rectangle.png")); TheImage.Stretch = Stretch.None; TheImage.HorizontalAlignment = HorizontalAlignment.Left; } #region INotifiedProperty Block public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged; protected void OnPropertyChanged(string propertyName) { PropertyChangedEventHandler handler = PropertyChanged; if (handler != null) { handler(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(propertyName)); } } #endregion private void ContentControl_MouseDown(object sender, System.Windows.Input.MouseButtonEventArgs e) { //how to get the coordinates of the mouse click here on the image? } } }

  • Java: jaxb Generircs

    How can I get jaxb to bind to my Vector? I cannot seem to get it to bind a Vector that contains generics as it complains that it cannot recognize my class "shape" or any of its subtypes.. • How to highlight the new created file in JTree

    - by newbie123
    I want to make it like when I click a button, it will create a new file. Then the jTree will highlight the new file. Below are my code. Currently I create new file, i will show the new file but no highlight the file. class FileTreeModel implements TreeModel { private FileNode root; public FileTreeModel(String directory) { root = new FileNode(directory); } public Object getRoot() { return root; } public Object getChild(Object parent, int index) { FileNode parentNode = (FileNode) parent; return new FileNode(parentNode, parentNode.listFiles()[index].getName()); } public int getChildCount(Object parent) { FileNode parentNode = (FileNode) parent; if (parent == null || !parentNode.isDirectory() || parentNode.listFiles() == null) { return 0; } return parentNode.listFiles().length; } public boolean isLeaf(Object node) { return (getChildCount(node) == 0); } public int getIndexOfChild(Object parent, Object child) { FileNode parentNode = (FileNode) parent; FileNode childNode = (FileNode) child; return Arrays.asList(parentNode.list()).indexOf(childNode.getName()); } public void valueForPathChanged(TreePath path, Object newValue) { } public void addTreeModelListener(TreeModelListener l) { } public void removeTreeModelListener(TreeModelListener l) { } } class FileNode extends java.io.File { public FileNode(String directory) { super(directory); } public FileNode(FileNode parent, String child) { super(parent, child); } @Override public String toString() { return getName(); } } jTree = new JTree(); jTree.setBounds(new Rectangle(164, 66, 180, 421)); jTree.setBackground(SystemColor.inactiveCaptionBorder); jTree.setBorder(BorderFactory.createTitledBorder(null, "", TitledBorder.LEADING, TitledBorder.TOP, new Font("Arial", Font.BOLD, 12), new Color(0, 0, 0))); FileTreeModel model = new FileTreeModel(root); jTree.setRootVisible(false); jTree.setModel(model); expandAll(jTree); public void expandAll(JTree tree) { int row = 0; while (row < tree.getRowCount()) { tree.expandRow(row); row++; } }

  • Texture2D.Bounds.Intersect, but the Bounds never move? - XNA, .Net 4.0

    - by Gineer
    Hi all, I am still shiny new to XNA, so please forgive any stupid question and statements in this post (The added issue is that I am using Visual Studio 2010 with .Net 4.0 which also means very few examples exist out on the web - well, none that I could find easily): I have two 2D objects in a "game" that I am using to learn more about XNA. I need to figure out when these two objects intersect. I noticed that the Texture2D objects has a property named "Bounds" which in turn has a method named "Intersects" which takes a Rectangle (the other Texture2D.Bounds) as an argument. However when you run the code, the objects always intersect even if they are on separate sides of the screen. When I step into the code, I noticed that for the Texture2D Bounds I get 4 parameters back when you mouse over the Bounds and the X, and Y coordinates always read "X = 0, Y = 0" for both objects (hence they always intersect). The thing that confuses me is the fact that the Bounds property is on the Texture rather than on the Position (or Vector2) of the objects. I eventually created a little helper method that takes in the objects and there positions and then calculate whether they intersect, but I'm sure there must be a better way. any suggestions, pointers would be much appreciated. • Flash: Closest point to MovieClip

    - by LiraNuna
    I need to constrain a point inside a DisplayObject given to me by the artist. I got it working but only for the occations where the cursor is still inside bounds. The limited object is called limited. function onSqMouseMove(event:MouseEvent) { if(bounds.hitTestPoint(event.stageX, event.stageY, true)) { limited.x = event.stageX; limited.y = event.stageY; } else { /* Find closest point in the Sprite */ } } limited.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, function(event:MouseEvent) { stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, onSqMouseMove); }); limited.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, function(event:MouseEvent) { stage.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, onSqMouseMove); }); How do I go about implementing the other half of the function? I am aware Sprite's startDrag accepts arguments, where the second one is the constraint rectangle, but in my case, bounds are an arbitrary shape. When the object is dragged outside the bounds, I want to calculate the closest point from the cursor to bounds' polygon. Just to note that bounds can have 'holes'.

  • PHP Resize image down and crop using imagemagick

    - by mr12086
    I'm trying to downsize image uploaded by users at the time of upload. This is no problem but I want to get specific with sizes now. I'm looking for some advice on an algorithm im struggling to produce that will take any shape image - square or rectangle of any widths/heights and downsize it. This image needs to be downsized to a target box size (this changes but is stored in a variable).. So it needs to downsize the image so that both the width and height are larger than the width and height of the target maintaining aspect ratio. but only just.. The target size will be used to crop the image so there is no white space around the edges etc. I'm looking for just the algorithm behind creating the correct resize based on different dimension images - I can handle the cropping, even resizing in most cases but it fails in a few so i'm reaching out. I'm not really asking for PHP code more pseudo. Either is fine obviously. Thanks Kindly.

  • Why aren't these Canvases rendering?

    - by bpapa
    I'm creating a web app that allows users to enter a number of colors, by specifying RGB values. Upon submission, the user will see a canvas with a solid rectangle drawn in the color chosen. On this page, I have 7 canvases. The first one draws just fine, but none of the rest show up. The browser is Safari. Here's the relevant code: First, the script element in the header, which defines the function I use to draw to the canvas. <script language="JavaScript" TYPE="text/javascript"><!-- function drawCanvas(canvasId, red, green, blue) { var theCanvas = document.getElementById("canvas" + canvasId); var context = theCanvas.getContext("2d"); context.clearRect(0,0,100,100); context.setFillColor(red,green,blue,1.0); context.fillRect(0,0,100,100); } // --> </script> Next, the HTML source, where I have my canvas tags and some embedded Javascript to call my drawCanvas function <canvas id="canvas0" width="100" height="100"> </canvas> <script language="JavaScript" TYPE="text/javascript"><!-- drawCanvas(0,250,0,0); // --> </script> . . //more source . <canvas id="canvas1" width="100" height="100"> </canvas> <script language="JavaScript" TYPE="text/javascript"><!-- drawCanvas(1,4,250,6); // --> </script> Also provided is a screenshot. As you can see, the "red" canvas comes up just fine, but the second one, which should be green, doesn't show up at all. Any ideas?

  • VB.NET trying simple captcha

    - by Pride Grimm
    I'm trying to write a simple captcha program in vb.net. I'm just wanting to make an image from random numbers and display it, check the answer, and then proceed. I'm pretty new to vb.net, so I found some code to generate the information. I will cite the owner when I find it again (http://www.knowlegezone.com/80/article/Technology/Software/Asp-Net/Simple-ASP-NET-CAPTCHA-Tutorial) This is in the onload() of default2.aspx Public Sub returnNumer() Dim num1 As New Random Dim num2 As New Random Dim numQ1 As Integer Dim numQ2 As Integer Dim QString As String numQ1 = num1.Next(10, 15) numQ2 = num2.Next(17, 31) QString = numQ1.ToString + " + " + numQ2.ToString + " = " Session("answer") = numQ1 + numQ2 Dim bitmap As New Bitmap(85, 35) Dim Grfx As Graphics = Graphics.FromImage(bitmap) Dim font As New Font("Arial", 18, FontStyle.Bold, GraphicsUnit.Pixel) Dim Rect As New Rectangle(0, 0, 100, 50) Grfx.FillRectangle(Brushes.Brown, Rect) Grfx.DrawRectangle(Pens.PeachPuff, Rect) ' Border Grfx.DrawString(QString, font, Brushes.Azure, 0, 0) Response.ContentType = "Image/jpeg" bitmap.Save(Response.OutputStream, System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Jpeg) bitmap.Dispose() Grfx.Dispose() End Sub So I put this in a separate page, like this This all works find and dandy, but when I get the answer from the session like this Dim literal As String = Convert.ToString(Session("answer")) It's always one behind. So if The images adds to 32, the answer in session isn't 32. But after a refresh (and a new image) the session("answer") will be 32. Is there a way to refresh the session on page 1, after the default2.aspx loads? Is there a better way to do this? I though about trying to run the code all on one page, and trying to set the src of and image to returnNumber(), but I need a bit of help on that one.

  • ScaleTransform transforms non-linearly

    - by Chris
    I am using scale transform to allow a user to resize a control. What happens though is that when you start to move the mouse the control jumps to a new size, and then scales oddly. The further you move your mouse from the starting location the larger the increase in size becomes. I expect its the way I calculate the scale to be applied. Here is the code: private void ResizeGrip_MouseDown(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e) { ResizeHandle.CaptureMouse(); //Get the initial coordinate cursor location on the window initBtmX = e.GetPosition(this).X; bottomResize = true; } private void ResizeGrip_MouseUp(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e) { bottomResize = false; ResizeHandle.ReleaseMouseCapture(); } private void ResizeGrip_MouseMove(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { if( bottomResize == true) { //Get the new Y coordinate cursor location double newBtmX = e.GetPosition(this).X; //Get the smallest change between the initial and new cursor location double diffX = initBtmX - newBtmX; // Let our rectangle capture the mouse ResizeHandle.CaptureMouse(); double newWidth = e.GetPosition(this).X - diffX; double scaler = newWidth / ResizeContainer.ActualWidth; Console.WriteLine("newWidth: {0}, scalar: {1}", newWidth, scaler); if (scaler < 0.75 || scaler > 3) return; ScaleTransform scale = new ScaleTransform(scaler, scaler); ResizeContainer.LayoutTransform = scale; } }

  • How to maintain long-lived python projects w.r.t. dependencies and python versions ?

    - by Gyom
    short version: how can I get rid of the multiple-versions-of-python nightmare ? long version: over the years, I've used several versions of python, and what is worse, several extensions to python (e.g. pygame, pylab, wxPython...). Each time it was on a different setup, with different OSes, sometimes different architectures (like my old PowerPC mac). Nowadays I'm using a mac (OSX 10.6 on x86-64) and it's a dependency nightmare each time I want to revive script older than a few months. Python itself already comes in three different flavours in /usr/bin (2.5, 2.6, 3.1), but I had to install 2.4 from macports for pygame, something else (cannot remember what) forced me to install all three others from macports as well, so at the end of the day I'm the happy owner of seven (!) instances of python on my system. But that's not the problem, the problem is, none of them has the right (i.e. same set of) libraries installed, some of them are 32bits, some 64bits, and now I'm pretty much lost. For example right now I'm trying to run a three-year-old script (not written by me) which used to use matplotlib/numpy to draw a real-time plot within a rectangle of a wxwidgets window. But I'm failing miserably: py26-wxpython from macports won't install, stock python has wxwidgets included but also has some conflict between 32 bits and 64 bits, and it doesn't have numpy... what a mess ! Obviously, I'm doing things the wrong way. How do you usally cope with all that chaos ?

  • AS3 How do I stop sound and video when clicking a menu button to go to another frame?

    - by Jennifer Heidelberg
    Hello, I have a problem with my slideshow script. I have embedding a flash video file into my website with this slideshow called monoslideshow, and everything seems to work perfectly. Trouble is, when I am clicking on another menu button that should jump to another frame, it still keeps playing the video and sound while displaying the new menu data. So I will probably need some code that stops the video instantly, when another menu button is clicked. But how do I write it and where do I put it? Here is my actionscript for the video file to show: var loaderSlide:Loader = new Loader(); var monoslideshow:Object; loaderSlide.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onLoadComplete); addChild(loaderSlide); loaderSlide.load(new URLRequest("monoslideshow.swf")); function onLoadComplete(event:Event):void { monoslideshow = event.target.content; monoslideshow.showLogo = false; monoslideshow.setViewport(new Rectangle(730, 20, 700, 660)); var xml:XML = <album title="TITLE" itemPath="photography/makingoff/" thumbnailPath="thumbnails/"> <contents> <video source="VIDEO.flv" /> </contents> </album> monoslideshow.loadXML(xml); } It would be great to get a solution to this problem, otherwise my website will be kinda messy ;) THANK YOU!!

  • javascript - rollover effect on overlapping transparent images

    - by user427969
    I want to add rollover effect on overlapping transparent images. For example: The following image is divided into 5 parts and I want to add rollover effect (different image) on each of them When O tried with div or img tag, the image is rendered as a rectangle so rollover effect is not proper. When i rollover on green part between yellow, the yellow image gets highlighted because its z-index is high. Following is the code that I tried: <body> <br /> <img src="part1.png" onclick="console.log('test1');"/> <img src="part2.png" onclick="console.log('test2');" style="position:absolute; left:30px; top: 19px;"/> <img src="part3.png" onclick="console.log('test3');" style="position:absolute; left:70px; top: 15px;"/> <img src="part4.png" onclick="console.log('test4');" style="position:absolute; left:95px; top: 16px;"/> <img src="part5.png" onclick="console.log('test5');" style="position:absolute; left:123px; top: 24px;"/> </body> images = , , , , I don't want to use jQuery, if possible.

  • Location of Embedly (JQuery-Preview) Results

    - by user749798
    Embedly/Jquery-Preview has been fantastic. However, I'm trying to change the location of the preview result, and having trouble. Right now, the result appears right below the input field...but I'd rather have it in a separate part of the page. Is there a way to do this? I've tried changing the location of the selector and loading divs, but that hasn't helped. It seems to ignore those divs and put it right below the submit button. Below is my code: <form accept-charset="UTF-8" action="private" class="new_comment" data-remote="true" id="new_comment" method="post"> <input class="photo_comm" id="comment_comment" name="comment[comment]" placeholder="add a comment or link..." size="30" type="text" /><span type="text" id="counter">1000</span> <input class="btn btn-primary btn-mini" data-disable-with="Submitting..." name="commit" type="submit" value="Post" /> </form> <!-- Placeholder that tells Preview where to put the loading icon--> <div class="loading"> <img src='http://embedly.github.com/jquery-preview/images/loading-rectangle.gif'> </div> <!-- Placeholder that tells Preview where to put the selector--> <div class="selector"></div> $('#comment_comment').preview({ key:'60f1dcdf3258476794784148a6eb65e7', // Sign up for a key: http://embed.ly/pricing selector : {type:'rich'}, preview : { submit : function(e, data){ e.preventDefault(); $.ajax({ dataType: 'script', url: this.form.attr('action'), type: 'POST', data: data }); }, }, autoplay : 0, maxwidth : 400, display : {display : 'rich'} });

  • Repaint() not calling paint() in Java

    - by Joshua Auriemma
    Let me start off by saying I know I've violated some basic Java principles in this messy code, but I'm desperately trying to finish a program by Tuesday for a social science experiment, and I don't know Java, so I'm basically just fumbling through it for now. With that disclaimer out of the way, I have a separate program working where a circle is moving around the screen and the user must click on it. It works fine when its in its own separate class file, but when I add the code to my main program, it's no longer working. I don't even really understand why repaint() calls my paint() function — as far as I'm concerned, it's magic, but I've noticed that repaint() calls paint() in my test program, but not in the more complicated actual program, and I assume that's why the circle is no longer painting on my program. I'm assuming the multiple frames is causing the problem, but that's just a guess. Thanks.

  • Creating collaborative whiteboard drawing application

    - by Steven Sproat
    I have my own drawing program in place, with a variety of "drawing tools" such as Pen, Eraser, Rectangle, Circle, Select, Text etc. It's made with Python and wxPython. Each tool mentioned above is a class, which all have polymorphic methods, such as left_down(), mouse_motion(), hit_test() etc. The program manages a list of all drawn shapes -- when a user has drawn a shape, it's added to the list. This is used to manage undo/redo operations too. So, I have a decent codebase that I can hook collaborative drawing into. Each shape could be changed to know its owner -- the user who drew it, and to only allow delete/move/rescale operations to be performed on shapes owned by one person. I'm just wondering the best way to develop this. One person in the "session" will have to act as the server, I have no money to offer free central servers. Somehow users will need a way to connect to servers, meaning some kind of "discover servers" browser...or something. How do I broadcast changes made to the application? Drawing in realtime and broadcasting a message on each mouse motion event would be costly in terms of performance and things get worse the more users there are at a given time. Any ideas are welcome, I'm not too sure where to begin with developing this (or even how to test it)

  • How can I get an NPC to move randomly in XNA?

    - by Fishwaffles
    I basically want a character to walk in one direction for a while, stop, then go in another random direction. Right now my sprites look but don't move, randomly very quickly in all directions then wait and have another seizure. I will post the code I have so far in case that is useful. class NPC: Mover { int movementTimer = 0; public override Vector2 direction { get { Random rand = new Random(); int randDirection = rand.Next(8); Vector2 inputDirection = Vector2.Zero; if (movementTimer >= 50) { if (randDirection == 4) { inputDirection.X -= 1; movingLeft = true; } else movingLeft = false; if (randDirection == 1) { inputDirection.X += 1; movingRight = true; } else movingRight = false; if (randDirection == 2) { inputDirection.Y -= 1; movingUp = true; } else movingUp = false; if (randDirection == 3) { inputDirection.Y += 25; movingDown = true; } else movingDown = false; if (movementTimer >= 100) { movementTimer = 0; } } return inputDirection * speed; } } public NPC(Texture2D textureImage, Vector2 position, Point frameSize, int collisionOffset, Point currentFrame, Point sheetSize, Vector2 speed) : base(textureImage, position, frameSize, collisionOffset, currentFrame, sheetSize, speed) { } public NPC(Texture2D textureImage, Vector2 position, Point frameSize, int collisionOffset, Point currentFrame, Point sheetSize, Vector2 speed, int millisecondsPerframe) : base(textureImage, position, frameSize, collisionOffset, currentFrame, sheetSize, speed, millisecondsPerframe) { } public override void Update(GameTime gameTime, Rectangle clientBounds) { movementTimer++; position += direction; if (position.X < 0) position.X = 0; if (position.Y < 0) position.Y = 0; if (position.X > clientBounds.Width - frameSize.X) position.X = clientBounds.Width - frameSize.X; if (position.Y > clientBounds.Height - frameSize.Y) position.Y = clientBounds.Height - frameSize.Y; base.Update(gameTime, clientBounds); } }

  • Find the number of congruent triangles?

    - by avd
    Say I have a square from (0,0) to (z,z). Given a triangle within this square which has integer coordinates for all its vertices. Find out the number of triangles within this square which are congruent to this triangle and have integer coordinates. My algorithm is as follows-- 1) Find out the minimum bounding rectangle(MBR) for the given triangle. 2) Find out the number of congruent triangles, y within that MBR, obtained after reflection, rotation of the given triangle. y can be either 2,4 or 8. 3) Now find out how many such MBR's can be drawn within the given big square, say x; (This is similar to finding number of squares on a chess board) 4) x*y is the required answer. Am I counting some triangles more than once or I am missing something by this algorithm? It is a problem on online judge? It gives me wrong answer. I have thought a lot about it, but I am not able to figure it out.

  • opengl shader make color "disappear"

    - by JFoulkes
    hi, I'm new to opengl and shaders. I'm trying to do some augmented reality on the iphone and messing about with shaders to alter a feed from the camera. What I'm trying to achieve is the appearance that an object in a picture has disappeared by setting the color to match the surrounding colour. I have a yellow rectangle and in it is a small red circle. I want to give the impressed the red circle has disappeared by setting the colour to be yellow. It won't always be solid colours but I'm just trying to get the basics down first. Currently I have a simple shader which will make a red colour lighter but this isn't ideal because it doesn't get close to the surrounding colour and I want this to work for different coloured objects and different coloured surrounding. I'm not even 100% shaders are what I need to be looking at or even opengl. I'm using it because of the performance it gives on the iPhone. I'm basically asking if: Anyone has done or seen anything similar Am I barking up the wrong tree using opengl es and opengl sl? Is this even possible? Cheers.

  • PHP Function parameters - problem with var not being set

    - by Marty
    So I am obviously not a very good programmer. I have written this small function: function dispAdjuggler($atts) { extract(shortcode_atts(array( 'slot' => '' ), $atts)); $adspot = ''; $adtype = ''; // Get blog # we're on global $blog_id; switch ($blog_id) { case 1: // root blog HOME page if (is_home()) { switch ($slot) { case 'top_leaderboard': $adspot = '855525'; $adtype = '608934'; break; case 'right_halfpage': $adspot = '855216'; $adtype = '855220'; break; case 'right_med-rectangle': $adspot = '858222'; $adtype = '613526'; break; default: throw new Exception("Ad slot is not defined"); break; } When I reference the function on a page like so: <?php dispAdjuggler("top_leaderboard"); ?> The switch is throwing the default exception. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks!!

  • Fitting Text into an Image

    - by Abs
    Hello all, I have a function which takes in a font (ttf or otf file) and generates an image of text in different fonts. The problem I have is trying to work out how I can make the text fit in the image regardless of the font-size, type of font, and amount of text. I have tried to make the image rectangle variable so that it contains the text of different fonts without cutting a bit of the text since the image is not long or wide enough. Here is the function that I currently have, I have tried using the number of characters to determine the width of the image, but in some cases for some fonts and sizes, it still gets cut off. function generate_image($save_path, $text, $font_path){ $length = strlen($text) * 15; // Create the image $im = imagecreatetruecolor($length, 40); $white = imagecolorallocate($im, 255, 255, 255); $grey = imagecolorallocate($im, 128, 128, 128); $black = imagecolorallocate($im, 0, 0, 0); imagefilledrectangle($im, 0, 0, $length, 40, $white); $font = $font_path; imagettftext($im, 30, 0, 0, 25, $black, $font, $text); if(imagepng($im, $save_path)){ $status = true; }else{ $status = false; } imagedestroy($im); return $status; } Thank you all for any help

  • coordination transform issue in Silverlight

    - by George2
    Hello everyone, I am using Silverlight 3.0 + .Net 3.5 + VSTS 2008 + C# to develop silverlight application based on ASP.Net. I am very confused about what are the function of "TranslateTransform" and "RenderTransformOrigin" in the following code snippet? BTW: I roughly understand RenderTransformOrigin means move an UI element in x-axis and y-axis by some offset, is that correct? Move the whole UI element? <Grid Margin="-1,0,100,0" x:Name="controlsContainer" Height="35" RenderTransformOrigin="0.5,0.5" VerticalAlignment="Bottom"> <Grid.RenderTransform> <TransformGroup> <ScaleTransform/> <SkewTransform/> <RotateTransform/> <TranslateTransform Y="0"/> </TransformGroup> </Grid.RenderTransform> <Rectangle Margin="0,0,0,0" Height="35" VerticalAlignment="Top" Fill="#97000000" Stroke="#00000000" RenderTransformOrigin="0.5,0.5"/> <VideoPlayer:mediaControl Height="35" Margin="1,0,0,0" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Top" x:Name="mediaControls" Visibility="Visible"/> </Grid> thanks in advance, George

  • How to make smooth transition from a WebBrowser control to an Image in Silverlight 4?

    - by Trex
    Hi, I have the following XAML on my page: `<Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot"> <Viewbox Stretch="Uniform"> <Image x:Name="myImage" /> </Viewbox> <WebBrowser x:Name="myBrowser" /> </Grid>` and then in the codebehind I'm switching the visibility between the image and the browser content: myBrowser.Visibility = Visibility.Collapsed; myImage.Source = new BitmapImage(new Uri(p)); myImage.Visibility = Visibility.Visible; and myImage.Visibility = Visibility.Collapsed; myBrowser.Source = new Uri(myPath + p, UriKind.Absolute); myBrowser.Visibility = Visibility.Visible; This works fine, but what the client now wants is a smooth transition between when the Image is shown and when the browser is shown. I tried several approaches but always ran into dead end. Do you have any ideas? I tried setting two states using the VSM and than displaying a white rectangle on top as an overlay, before the swap takes place, but that didn't work (I guess it's because nothing can be placed above the WebBroser???) I tried setting the Visibility of the image control and the webbrowser control using the VSM, but that didn't work either. I really don't know what else to try to solve this simple task. Any help is greatly appreciated. Jan
