    Hi, I have an SSRS report , Oracle is my backend and am using this following query for dataset of my second parameter. select distinct X from v_stf_sec_user_staffing_center usc where usc.center_group_id in ( select distinct center_group_id from V_T_STAFFING_CENTER_GROUP scg where INSTR(','||REPLACE(:PI_REGION_LIST,' ')||',', ','||scg.group_abbreviation||',') 0) and usc.nt_user_name=:PI_NT_USER_NAME Here PI_REGION_LIST is a multivalued parameter of string type. and PI_NT_USER_NAME is a default string valued parameter this query works fine when i try to execute in manulally in the Data tab , also in the Oracle tool. But when i run the report in SSRS and select more than 3 values for the parameter PI_REGION_LIST the report throws an error on this dataset, ora-00939 error,too many arguments for function. I am not able to figure out the error here. Please help me with an idea. Thanks in advance, Suni.

In the supplied samples, they specify that the buffers below should be in USB ram and use a pic18f4550. unsigned char readbuff[64] absolute 0x500; // Buffers should be in USB RAM, please consult datasheet unsigned char writebuff[64] absolute 0x540; But the pic18f4550 datasheet says USB ram ranges from 400h to 4FFh So why does their example work when their buffers appear not to be between 400h to 4FFh?     I am currently hosting my SaaS application at GoGrid (Microsoft stack). Here's what I have: Database Server - physical box, 12 GB RAM, 2 X Quad Core CPU (2.13 GHz Xeon E5506) 2 Web / App servers - cloud servers, 2 GB RAM, 2 VCPUs 300 GB monthly bandwidth I am paying around $900 / month for this. My web / app servers are busting at the seams and need to be upgraded to 4 GB of RAM. I also need a firewall, and GoGrid just added this service for an additional $200. After the upgrade, I will be paying around $1,400. I started looking at Amazon EC2, specifically this config: Database server - "High Memory Double Extra Large Instance" - 34 GB RAM, 13 EC2 compute units 2 Web / App servers - "Large Instance" - 7.5 GB RAM, 4 EC2 compute units If I go with 1 year reserved instances, my upfront cost would be $4,500 and my monthly would be $700. This comes to $1,075 / month when amortized. Amazon also includes a firewall for free. Here are my questions: Do any of you have experience running a database (especially SQL Server) on an EC2 instance? How did it perform compared to a dedicated machine? One of my major concerns is with disk I/O. Amazon's description of a compute unit is fairly vague. Any ideas on how the CPU performance on the database servers would compare? I am hoping that the Amazon solution will provide significantly better performance than my current or even improved GoGrid setup. Having a virtual database server would also be nice in terms of availability. Right now I would be in serious trouble if I had any hardware issues. Thanks for any insight...

  • How to set response header in JAX-RS so that user sees download popup for Excel?

    I wrote code that generate Excel file using REST JAX-RS and I confirmed that the generated Excel file is in GlassFish server directory. But my goal is when user click on the button (which generate Excel .xls), I want download popup to show up asking user whether to save or open the .xls file just like any other web services doing for downloading any type of files. According to my search, the step is: generate Excel .xls (DONE) write the excel to stream in JAX-RS file, set response header to something like, String fileName = "Blah_Report.xls"; response.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=" + fileName); My question is I'm doing all of this in JAX-RS file and I don't have HttpServletResponse object available. According to the answer from Add Response Header to JAX-RS Webservice He says: You can inject a reference to the actual HttpServletResponse via the @Context annotation in your webservice and use addHeader() etc. to add your header. I can't really figure what exactly that means without sample code..

    Hi, I wrote a quicksort algorithm however, I would like to make a change somewhere so that this quicksort would output elements in descending order.   • JAX-RS --- How to return JSON and HTTP Status code together?

    I'm writing REST web app (Netbean6.9, JAX-RS, Toplink-essential) and trying to return JSON and Http status code. I have code ready and working just to return JSON when HTTP GET Method is called from client. Code snippet @Path("get/id") @GET @Produces("application/json") public M_?? getMachineToUpdate(@PathParam("id") String id) { //some code to return JSON . . return myJson But I also want to return HTTP status code (500, 200, 204 etc) along with returning JSON. I tried using HttpServletResponse object, response.sendError("error message", 500); But this made browser to think it's real 500 so output web page was regular Http 500 error page. What I want to is just to return status code so that my Javascript on client side can handle some logic depending on what HTTP status code is returned. (maybe just to display the error code and message on html page.) Is it possible to do so? or should HTTP status code not be used for such thing?

  • Is there a IDE/compiler PC benchmark I can use to compare my PCs performance?

    I'm looking for a benchmark (and results on other PCs) which would give me an idea of the development performance gain I could get by upgrading my PC, also the benchmark could be used to justify the upgrade to my boss. I use Visual Studio 2008 for my development, so I'd like to get an idea of by what factor the build times would be improved, and also it would be good if the benchmark could incorporate IDE performance (i.e. when editing, using intellisense, opening code files etc) into its result. I currently have an AMD 3800x2, with 2GB RAM on Vista 32. For example, I'd like to know what kind of performance gain I'd see in Visual Studio 2008 with a Q6600, 4GB RAM on Vista 64. And also with other processors, and other RAM sizes... also see whether hard disk performance is a big factor. EDIT: I mentioned Vista 64 because I'm aware that Vista 32 can only use 3GB RAM maximum. So I'd presume that wanting to use more RAM would require Vista 64, but perhaps it could still be slower overall there is a large overhead in using the 32 bit VS 2008 on 64 bit OS.

And also make sure to close the EMF once it's used (?)   • How to handle array element between int and Integer

    First, it is long post so if you need clarification please let me know. I'm new to Java and having difficulty deciding whether I should use int[] or Integer[]. I wrote a function that find odd_number from int[] array. public int[] find_odd(int[] arr) { int[] result = new int[arr.length]; for(int i=0; i<arr.length; i++) { if(arr[i] % 2 != 0) { //System.out.println(arr[i]); result[i] = arr[i]; } } return result; } Then, when I pass the int[] array consisting of some integer like below: int[] myArray = {-1, 0, 1, 2, 3}; int[] result = find_odd(myArray); The array "result" contains: 0, -1, 0, 1, 0, 3 Because in Java you have to define the size of array first, and empty int[] array element is 0 not null. So when I want to test the find_odd() function and expect the array to have odd numbers (which it does) only, it throws the error because the array also includes 0s representing "empty cell" as shown above. My test code: public void testFindOddPassValidIntArray() { int[] arr = {-2, -1, 0, 1, 3}; int[] result = findOddObj.find_odd(arr); //check if return array only contain odd number for(int i=0; i<result.length; i++) { if(result[i] != null) { assert is_odd(result[i]) : result[i]; } } } So, my question is should I use int[] array and add check for 0 element in my test like: if(result[i] != 0) { assert is_odd(result[i] : result[i] } But in this case, if find_odd() function is broken and returning 0 by miscalculation, I can't catch it because my test code would only assume that 0 is empty cell. OR should I use Integer[] array whose default is null? How do people deal with this kind of situation?

    I need a function template that accepts two iterators that could be pointers. If the two arguments are random_access iterators I want the return type to be an object of std::iterator<random_access_iterator_tag, ...> type else a std::iterator<bidirectional_iterator_tag, ...> type. I also want the code to refuse compilation if the arguments are neither a bidirectional iterator, nor a pointer. I cannot have dependency on third party libraries e.g. Boost Could you help me with the signature of this function so that it accepts bidirectional iterators as well as pointers, but not say input_iterator, output_iterator, forward_iterators.   • How to optimize paging for large in memory database

    I have an application where the entire database is implemented in memory using a stl-map for each table in the database. Each item in the stl-map is a complex object with references to other items in the other stl-maps. The application works with a large amount of data, so it uses more than 500 MByte RAM. Clients are able to contact the application and get a filtered version of the entire database. This is done by running through the entire database, and finding items relevant for the client. When the application have been running for an hour or so, then Windows 2003 SP2 starts to page out parts of the RAM for the application (Eventhough there is 16 GByte RAM on the machine). After the application have been partly paged out then a client logon takes a long time (10 mins) because it now generates a page fault for each pointer lookup in the stl-map. I can see it is possible to tell Windows to lock memory in RAM, but this is generally only recommended for device drivers, and only for "small" amounts of memory. I guess a poor mans solution could be to loop through the entire memory database, and thus tell Windows we are still interested in keeping the datamodel in RAM. I guess another poor mans solution could be to disable the pagefile completely on Windows. I guess the expensive solution would be a SQL database, and then rewrite the entire application to use a database layer. Then hopefully the database system will have implemented means to for fast access. Are there other more elegant solutions ?

Our reads are getting screwed up because our code usually returns two (sometimes more, sometimes exactly one) message reads instead of one message read per actual message sent. For instance, if I pass 2, it should return 180 (i.e. 30+40+50+60) I decided to use breath first search and when I find the node with desired depth, sum up the value, but I just can't figure out how to find out the way which node is in what depth.     I'm trying to pull some data from MySQL using an Array that was fetch from a first query. Everything's fine all the way to the implode after that, it's been a headache for me.   • why the global variable value is not being set?

    I can't figure out why my global variable workRegionCode is not set properly. In function getWorkRegion(), after getting ajax callback, it attempt to set workRegionCode global variable. (inside of function setFirstIndexWorkRegionCode() ). The alert in setFirstIndexWorkRegionCode() outputs expected value like 401 or 123 etc. But then when getMachines() is called, the global variable workRegionCode is undefiend :( This js starts from window.onload() (please ignore those Japanese JSON key value and few Japanese variables.     I'm quite new to Java and having an issue checking null element in integer array. I'm using Eclipse for editor and the line that checks null element is showing error: Line that complains: if(a[i] != null) { Error msg from Eclipse: The operator != is undefined for the argument type(s) int, null In PHP, this works without any problem but in Java it seems like I have to change the array type from integer to Object to make the line not complain (like below) Object[] a = new Object[3]; So my question is if I still want to declare as integer array and still want to check null, what is the syntax for it?
