  • Sort MySQL result set using comparison between 2 columns of same value type

    Hello, I have a table containing last_updated_1 and last_updated_2 columns, used respectively for text and images update time on a post. I wish I could get a result set of 10 rows based on all time last updated records contained in the 2 columns, ex. row 1 = last_updated_1 record, row 2 = last_updated_2 record, row 3 = last_updated_1 record, etc. How could I compare inside a MySQL query the both columns values, to get unique & mixed result set ?     Can CodeMirror 2 be used to set part of the code to be uneditable? I do not wish to do it like fully editable code. Example: Code inline: example public static void main(String args[]){ //content } I hope to be able to make Line 1 and 3 uneditable BUT able to edit lines in between them adding characters/spaces increasing the number of lines inside the method as we speak AND still unable to edit the starting and closing bracket lines.

    Im using the .NET framework 1.1 and Im hoping someone could help me implement a dynamic array of objects? A watered-down example of the object I wish use is below. Class CarObj { public string CarName; public string CarYear; } Should I use an ArrayList or do you think it would be better to make a CarList class to implement an IList interface? Is there a performance benefit for one over another?

    I'm currently trying to perform a deep crawl within a small list of sites. To accomplish this, I updated conf/domain-urlfilter.txt with the domains of the sites I wish to scrape, which worked nicely. However, I found that not only were the links crawled at every step filtered, but the outlinks captured from each page crawled were filtered as well. Is there a way to avoid filtering captured outlinks while still filtering crawled URLs?

    Hi, Recently I had some issues with Flash in IE, involving a SWF which is something like a gallery. In Firefox its loads perfectly, but in IE it doesn't work properly sometimes. The first time it is loaded its works fine but when I refresh all the images are blank. The image data came from XML. I wish to get some tips regarding the browsers and Flash / SWF behavior in each.     I know this is common in most languages, and maybe in C, as well. Can C handle separating several functions out to a separate file and having them be included? The functions will rely on other include files, as well. I want the code to retain all functionality, but the code will be reused in several C scripts, and if I change it once I do not wish to have to go through every script and change it there, too.

    I have a class that inherits from a generic dictionary as follows: Class myClass : System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary<int, Object> I have added a list of values to this in a particular order, but I now wish to change that order. Is there any way (without removing and re-adding) that I could effectively re-index the values; so change the object at index 1 to now be at index 10 for example? For example, this doesn't work: myClass[1].Index = 10;

    I have a certain value of date and time say 28-3-2012(date) - 10:36:45(time) . I wish to convert this whole timestamp to nanoseconds with the precision of nanoseconds. As in the user would input the time and date as shown but internally i have to be accurate upto nanoseconds and convert the whole thing to nanoseconds to form a unique key assigned to a specific object created at that particular time.   • why is `vapply` safer than `sapply`?

    The documentation says vapply is similar to sapply, but has a pre-specified type of return value, so it can be safer [...] to use. Could you please elaborate as to why it is generally safer, maybe provide examples? P.S.: I know the answer and I already tend to avoid sapply. I just wish there was a nice answer here on SO so I can point my coworkers to it. Please, no "read the manual" answer.
