Now if I put a form around the h:outputText, and instead update the form instead, then it work. Why is that?

    I've developed a web application. It needs to be translated to languages other than English in the future, and ideally the translators shouldn't need to know HTML/JS/C++ to provide the translation. The server side of the web application is written in C++ and the majority of the localised text is in the HTML files. My question is: What approaches are there to translating web applications? - Are there any existing tools that would enable a translator who doesn't understand HTML to translate a site? Should I write an application that extracts the localised text from a html file and can re-substitute translated text? Do you just provide the html file to your translators to be localised? I'm aware the question isn't strictly programming related but the solution may involve programming and it may require some software engineering.

I am wondering if anyone has found the a way to automate the pulling of the configs off the Nortel PBX.     I have setup Postfix and Dovecot on an Ubuntu box following the instructions http://www.exratione.com/2012/05/a-mailserver-on-ubuntu-1204-postfix-dovecot-mysql/ I can see that email is being delivered to and accepted by the server, but the email is not available for retrieval via POP3. What could be missing in my configuraton? It seems that email is not being properly handed off to Dovecot.     Hey all, I have multilanguage site, which have 3 languages. I'm using Username as field for First and Last name combined, and some Profile(core module) fields for example biography text field. So I want to translate Username and Profile fields in each language. I have tested it with i18n, it is not working with username and profile text field. So if Username problem I can use profile text fields for First and Last name. But no one module is providing localization support for Profile fields. Any suggestions? Thank you

    I'm using the UpdateModel method for validation. How do I specify the text for the error messages as they appear in the validation summary? Sorry, I wasn't entirely clear. When I call UpdateModel(), if there is parsing error, for example if a string value is specified for a double field, a "SomeProperty is invalid" error message is automatically added to the ModelState. How do I specify the text for said automatically generated error message? If I implement IDataErrorInfo as suggested, it's error message property gets called for every column, regardless of whether the default binder deems it valid or not. I'd have to reimplement the parse error catching functionality that I get for free with the default binder. Incidentally, the default "SomeProperty is invalid" error messages seem to have mysteriously dissappeared in the RC. A validation summary appears and the relevant fields are highlighted but the text is missing! Any idea why this is? Thanks again and I hope all this waffle makes sense!

  • How to get some xml that comes before and a little from after a DOM Node.

    I am using java and I am pretty open to using w3c DOM or DOM4J at this point. So lets say I have a Node like a text node that I have found something interesting in, like say an occurrence of a substring in the nodes text. If I want to get a string with a number characters preceding that node and a few characters after that node how may I do that? Basically I need to be able to display a snippet of the original xml around the occurrence of that string. The problem I have with getting the parent node for example and then calling asXML is that I no longer know the exact location of the substring in the text node. If I search again for that string value in the parents xml then I may find 2 occurrences or many more if the parent has other children that contain an occurrence of that string. Much appreciation if any one can answer this question.

    Ive got a folder with about a hundred sub folders and again each ones of those has between 10 and 20 sub folders, so all in all a pretty large folder tree. Is there a simple way i can explode or export all of the files in the tree to a new folder which will just be one folder contain the files (no folders, no trees). Im running OSX 10.8, although ive also got Parallels so if there is a windows solution i could just run that as its not something i need to do everyday.

    Since a while I have installed nginx and everything seemed to be working fine, recently I found out that about 20% of the time users are getting 502-errors. This is also noticable when Google tries to crawl my site in Webmaster Tools (from 10000 posts, approx. 2000 502 errors) At first I was thinking to disable nginx, but I'd really like to keep using it. I'm running it on a server with 2GB RAM and 4 Reserved CPU Cores. WHM/cPanel installed and Mod_Ruid2 enabled + DSO as a PHP Handler with APC caching installed. Is there anything I can change in the config, that can fix this?     I'm using the EXPORT feature in Hyper-V to move a large Virtual Machine (VM) over a 1GB network from a Windows 2008 to a Windows 2008 R2 box (200GB) and its so intense that I get the following icon on my destination Hyper-V manager: Is this expected? Is there another way to get large file across the network and minimize this intense I/O effect? Anyones else ever seen that Do Not Enter sign? The other VMs are functional but slow, but I'm guessing that is expected.
