  Hello, I recently made a start on learning BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) after watching a Google tech talk presented by David Astels. He made a very interesting case for using BDD and some of the literature I've read seem to highlight that it's easier to sell BDD to management. Admittedly, I'm a little skeptical about BDD after watching the above video. So, I'm interested to understand if BDD is indeed nothing more than a change in vocabulary or if it offers other benefits.

  I've apache2,tomcat6 ubuntu servers running on port 80 with mod_jk setup hosting jsp pages. The developers are complaining that the pages are being rendered very slow when tried with IE browser and saying, at every refresh the images are reloading again and again which is not happening with other browsers. I'm given a hint CDNwhich I've no knowledge but I found in the google that cdn makes pages available on many server which improves the speed of the page being rendered. Anybody could tell me how could I make my pages available in cdn servers?

  I have placed the facebook "like" and some other social bookmarking websites link on my blog, such as Google Buzz, Digg, Twitter, etc. I just noticed that it takes a while to load my blog page as it need to load the data from the social networking sites (such as number of likes etc).   I've installed Ubuntu 13.10 on a Lenovo yoga 13. In order to make the backlight work with the keys I've been following some instructions here: How do I get the brightness control working on a Lenovo Yoga 13? The process asks me to run update-grub, but this causes the following error: /usr/sbin/grub-mkconfig: 27: /etc/default/grub: want: not found Which doesn't seem to come up hardly anywhere on Google - which is me pretty much stumped when it comes to grub!

• Is it OK to use sample code from blogs, GitHub, etc... in commercial applications?

  When searching the web for a solution to a particular problem, I often find a perfect solution posted on someone's blog, or in a public repository (GitHub, Google Code). Most of the time, the code has no copyright information, nor does the author mention any sort of attribution rules. I'm pretty sure short snippets are fine, but what if I copy a handful of classes verbatim (again, no copyright notices, TOS, attribution requests, etc...)? Am I under any legal obligation to the original author?

• Same sitemap submitted for .com and .co.uk domain

  Not to sure why I did this. But I submitted the same sitemap for our .co.uk and .com domain. Looking to put the .com domain on different hosting and create a new site for international customers using .com domain. Should I remove all urls in google webmasters for the .com domain, guessing this won't have a negative effect on .co.uk stuff and add robot.txt to make sure the .com domain is not crawled? Thanks

  I have an AJAX site and I'm using shebangs (#!) in my urls with the intention of then providing the correct HTML versions when google bots replace the #! with _escaped_fragment_. How do I go about routing/proxying/redirecting the url with _escaped_fragment_ to the corresponding html pages? I can't find documentation on this part of the process specifically, and my first thought was that I should be using a 301 or 302 redirect, but I was told that wasn't the case, albeit not given any more info.
