• Send Email in iphone

  Hi, I am new to iphone. I am working on first app..I could design Email view by using Interface Builder. My requirement is, I have to add contact list. And choose required contact, when i clicked on To UIButton, It will be placed on Address textfield. Finally, I can click the send UIButton, the email reach it's destination. How can I do this? • How do I change the class of an object to a subclass of its current class in C++?

  I have an array of pointers to a base class, so that I can make those pointers point to (different) subclasses of the base class, but still interact with them. (really only a couple of methods which I made virtual and overloaded) I'm wondering if I can avoid using the pointers, and instead just make an array of the base class, but have some way to set the class to the subclass of my choosing. I know there must be something there specifying the class, as it needs to use that to look up the function pointer for virtual methods. By the way, the subclasses all have the same ivars and layout. Note: the design is actually based on using a template argument instead of a variable, due to performance increases, so really the abstract base class is just the interface for the subclasses, which are all the same except for their compiled code.   In my knowledge, the RESTful WCF still has ".svc" in its URL. For example, if the service interface is like [OperationContract] [WebGet(UriTemplate = "/Value/{value}")] string GetDataStr(string value); The access URI is like "http://machinename/Service.svc/Value/2". In my understanding, part of REST advantage is that it can hide the implementation details. A RESTful URI like "http://machinename/Service/value/2" can be implemented by any RESTful framework, but a "http://machinename/Service.svc/value/2" exposes its implementation is WCF. How can I remove this ".svc" host in the access URI?

• Passing object through WCF so that server receives client changes

  I would like to set up a WCF service so that any changes a client makes to an object I send them are also reflected on the server side. • Slick PHP based image manager for managing user profile images

  Hi, I'm just throwing this out there as I'm plodding my way through creating a Member Photo album on a site i'm working on, where they can login and upload their photos to a personal gallery. I want this to be nice and lightweight, but still slick and "modern" with a modal based interface for the user. I'm surprised though that there is seemingly nothing open source out there which fits the bill - I've done a few searches on Google to no avail and can't seem to find anything. Lots of bloated photo galleries out there but nothing looks like it has been developed using more recent technologies. Is anyone aware of anything which might suit what I'm looking for? I'm fully prepared to try and code it myself but I'd be delighted if I didn't have to! Pure laziness you might say, but there's no point reinventing the wheel.

I used Interface Builder to put the NSImageView control onto the window, initially (then bound it to outputImageView). How do I change the size of the NSImageView control within my program, so that it matches the size of the actual image I am displaying (which may change, periodically)? [ERROR] Errors in 'file:/D:/projects/eclipse/workspace/.../src/com/.../client/ProfileServiceAsync.java' [ERROR] Line 11: No source code is available for type shared.Profile; did you forget to inherit a required module? Any ideas on this?

DataGridViewTextBoxColumn txtBoxColumn = new DataGridViewTextBoxColumn(); txtBoxColumn.Name = columnName; txtBoxColumn.HeaderText = columnName; g_dataGridView.Columns.Add(txtBoxColumn); User will create some custom type column therefore i am adding column directly to grid. I am also able to set its default value before adding for this i am using DataGrid_CellFormatting(object sender, DataGridViewCellFormattingEventArgs e) { if (colIndexWithDefaultValue.Count > 0) { if (colIndexWithDefaultValue.Contains(e.ColumnIndex)) { g_dataGridView.Rows[e.RowIndex].Cells[e.ColumnIndex].Value = colIndexWithDefaultValue[e.ColumnIndex]; } } } where colIndexWithDefaultValue is list of columns with its default value. It is able to show newly created column with default value. But values are getting set for currently visible rows. To set value for all rows i have to do scrolling. So, how do i overcome this problem...

The type of a reference type can be determined from values of self-describing types. Self-describing types are further split into arrays and class types." So an array, for instance, is a self-describing type because we can determine it's type from its values? How? Is that it, or is there more to this definition?

• How do I create email addresses for all my users using my domain ([email protected])?

  My client wants to create email addresses for all their dotnetnuke users using their domain. The point is to keep the user's email addresses 'private' while still allowing communication through a public email address that they can control. It's not necessary to have a full webmail interface (although that would be nice). I'm thinking it would be enough just to forward any mail on and just act as a gateway. So if an email was sent to [email protected], it would be forwarded on to the email address associated with the dotnetnuke account with username 'rwain'. Is this possible to do in a shared hosting environment? Or do I need to create some custom mail server that does a conversion of the email address and forwards it?

  Hi all, I want to build simple SOAP web service. So far I've only worked with existing SOAP/Rest services. And now I'd like to create my own, simple one for starters. For example create simple hello + string web service where I provide the string in request from SOAP ui or similar tool. I have Jboss server installed already, what is the "simplest" possible way to achieve this? I realize I need interface, interfaceImpl, and a wsdl file(generated possibly).   hello.. in my application i had taken ejbmodule and web module seprately. in ejb module there is one entity and session bean with remote interface. in web module i had taken jsf and used managed bean for calling method of session bean. and used jsf page with .jsp extension where m had put 2 textboxes and one commandbutton.which mapped to managed bean. my database table has only 2 field. bt when i run the application and entered data then click on button no operation is done.no data inserted into database table. i m nt given any error.so couldn't found any problem.. also dnt knw clear abt faces-config.xml file i had written abt managed bean into tht file.. plz guide me wht will be the actual problem?. thanks in advance.. waiting for positive reply..

• Retlang: What is the best way to unsubscribe from a channel?

  I'm not sure what is the best way to unsubscribe from a channel when using Retlang. When you subscribe by calling ISubscriber<T>::Subscribe(...) you are returned an IUnsubscriber. This interface has no methods. Going up a level, IChannel<T> also does not have any methods. The only thing I can think of is casting an ISubscriber<T> to the concrete Channel<T> and calling its Unsubscribe() method or adding an Unsubscribe() method to ISubscriber<T>. I'm just curious if anyone knows what they had in mind before I modify the code.

  Hi, I want to create a chat application in Tomcat 6.0, but before allowing any user for chatting I want to authenticate a user or registering its account to the database by passing request to the servlets at the comet Event type Begin. But I don't know how to know about the request type. How can I know a user has already been logged in, or he is making a request for registering his account.   I have a stupid question. I have created a workflow Designer host where I publish my own activities. I also have a property grid which only displays the properties decorated with a special attribute. This designer is going to be used by none IT staff. What I want is that on an activity the user can select a property value from a list. I know I just could create an Enum but I would like it to be dynamic. I.e. all events on a specific interface (extracted using reflection). Is this at all possible or am I stuck with enums?

  I am a bit confused about socket programming in C. You create a socket, bind it to an interface and an IP address and get it to listen. I found a couple of web resources on that, and understood it fine. In particular, I found an article Network programming under Unix systems to be very informative. What confuses me is the timing of data arriving on the socket. How can you tell when packets arrive, and how big the packet is, do you have to do all the heavy lifting yourself? My basic assumption here is that packets can be of variable length, so once binary data starts appearing down the socket, how do you begin to construct packets from that?

• Custom Response + HTTP status?

  Hi, I have a rest interface for my project. For one class i have a POST method where you can post an xml and i RETURN a custom response like: <userInvitation>Invalid email</userInvitation> if the email from the xml which was posted, was incorrect + other custom messages i have defined for different situations. For all of these the HTTP STATUS is automatically put on 200 (OK). Is there any way to change it? Ps: I know that i can throw a web application like : throw new WebApplicationException(Response.Status.BAD_REQUEST); but in this case my custom response is no more included. So i just want to return my custom error + 400 as http response. Thanks in advance.

  I am trying to create an app that allows multiple search requests to occur whilst maintaining use of the user interface to allow interaction. For the multiple search requests, I initially only had one search request running with user interaction still capable by using a backgroundworker to do this. Now I need to extend these functions by allowing more search functions and basically just queueing them up. I am not sure whether to use multiple backgroundworkers or use the threadpool since I want to be able to know the progress of each search job at any time.

  So I'm writing a Django based website that allows users select a color scheme through an administration interface. I already have middleware/context processors that links the current request (based on domain) to the account. My question is how to dynamically serve the CSS with the account's custom color scheme. I see two options: Add a CSS block to the base template that overrides the styles w/variables passed in through a context processors. Use a custom URL (e.g. "/static/dynamic/css//styles.css") that gets routed to a view that grabs all the necessary values and creates the css file. I'm content with either option, but was wondering if anyone else out there has dealt with similar problems and could give some insight as to "Best Practices".

The reason is of such task is, I dont want user to go into "Sites Action" - create Site - and then fill the whole form.
