  • Alternative to Outlook 2007 to sync with BlackBerry?

    Hello I installed Outlook (2007) since it's the most used PIM that can sync with a BlackBerry, but I find its UI ugly, and the different dialogs contain way too much items for my use. Does someone know of a good alternative? Ideally, it should be able to sync with BlackBerry directly, but I can live with one that goes through Outlook for synchronization. FWIW, I prefer desktop applications to eg. Google apps. Thank you.

After I restart it tells me: searching for boot record form ide-0..not found searching for boot record form cdrom..not found root failure press any key to continue reboot or select proper boot device. I have just one CD-ROM and one IDE hard drive.

  • Trouble with installing Ubuntu 14.04 alongside Windows 8.1

    I work with Windows 8.1 and today I installed Ubuntu 14.04 alongside it, but now I can't set the boot menu to display both OS. When I boot the system it normally loads Windows 8.1 without opening the boot menu. I created a boot USB with Yumi. When booting with Yumi and selecting "boot from hard disk", Ubuntu turned on. My drives: My laptop is a Fujitsu Lifebook AH532/G52 and the BIOS is a Phoenix v1.10

    hi, A customer of mine have been testing a trial of MS CRM 4.0 that I installed for them, but they concluded that it might be a bit heavy for them. I promised them to look into other CRM applications that use SQL Server as the backend and preferably has an Outlook plugin so you can do "CRM Stuff" directly from Outlook. If anyone knows about alternatives, I would appreciate it if you leave a link here!

I have Apache and Entropy php5 installed, when i write my applications, some pages wont run when php has errors, however these are not recorded on a log file, I created one php_errors.log and entered the following on the php.ini file error_log = /usr/local/php5/logs/php_errors.log However errors are not written to this file and i have log_errors = true What could be the problem

    I currently have Google Chrome dev version installed, however visting http://www.soundstep.com/blog/experiments/jsdetection/, it said I needed to install Google Chrome Beta. Isn't dev higher than beta? I thought there was these versions of Google Chrome, from lowest to highest version: Stable Beta Dev Canary (Chromium) Is the detection of my browser failing on the website, or have Google Chrome changed their versioning system?     Hello, is there a short tutorial available which shows how I can set up a small Linux server on Amazon EC2 so that I can configure it and launch it when needed? I understand that there is EBS to provide a persistent storage and that an image can be booted right from EBS. There are also existing images which are perfect starting points, with Linux installed, so I simply have to 'copy' somehow an existing image to EBS, and configure it there. Is there some article which guides through these steps?

Windows Search 4.0 (installed on Windows XP) can index removable drives, but Windows 7 (which uses Windows Search 4.0) cannot because the USB device identifies itself as a "Removable" drive and Windows 7 refuses to index removable drives.   • How do I turn off accent combining in Windows 7?

    I have English Windows 7 Professional with Hungarian keyboard language installed. The English keyboard layout works as expected, but for the Hungarian layout some kind of "accent combining" is activated. The effect of this ^+o becomes ô, ^+a becomes â, etc. This is not helpful at all, since the accented characters of Hungarian are already mapped to keys, but it's really annoying because I have to type a non-combining character to actually get ^. Is there any way to turn this "feature" off?

    I installed KeepassX on my new Mac which I am still learning the ropes on. I downloaded the program to allow autofill on Chrome ( KeePassHttp.plgx ). It says it needs to be put into directory of KeepassX, but I can't drag it into the application file and I'm not sure yet how to manipulate Terminal. Is terminal what I need to use or is there another way to put it in directory? At this point it is on the Chrome interface, but says it can't detect or make a connection with KX

  • Why is my computer using so much ram?

    I have 16gb of ram installed in my computer, and nearly 70% of it is used at all times. Looking at the processes in task manager the memory being used with everything in there doesn't even add up to 2gb. I have RAPID mode enabled on my ssd which may be using 2gb at most so I would understand that. I am thinking there might be a memory leak somewhere, but I don't really know how I would be able to tell. My performance and process list is below:

  • Creating rescue / install USB flash disk for CentOS

    For CentOS installation CDs, you can install OS, as well as booting into "rescue" mode so that you can do a chroot mount on the system partition for problem solving, even the system is installed in hardware RAID drives. How can we create a similar thing but on usb flash drive? I tried to do it with unetbootin, but when booting into the USB, eventually the CentOS setup still requires presence of CDs. Ultimately, I want to use this usb flash drive for remote disaster recovery through say HP iLo remote console / Dell iDrac etc.

    Ever since i installed windows 8, I'm unable to use Ctrl + Shift + Arrow Keys (to select words and phrases quickly in text editors) with any program. Ive found the same issue with other models of Logitech keyboards (not with any other brand, though) however, the solutions provided to those other models aren't working for me (or are impossible to complete, because of the difference in the model) If you have a possible solution, please reply! But when I click Ok, the following error in thrown in the host (Win 7) OS. "Unable to update run-time folder sharing status: Unknown error." The location is not showing up in /mnt/ What could be the reason? P.S I have vmhgfs process running in my Ubuntu VM. I was following this method.

Recently I am getting continous request from IP static-195.22.94.120.addr.tdcsong.se.54303 : 12337 I already installed the 'arno-iptables-firewall'. Have iptables blocking 195.22.94.120 Still then I get the request from that IP if i see via tcpdump. May I know what else i can do to protect my VPS? Thank you.

  • Ubuntu 9.10 as VMWare guest OS, X won't start

    I have Ubuntu 9.10 installed on it's own partition. Once in a while I would like to start it as a guest OS under Windows XP. While it starts and working fine, I can't login with gdm, after I enter login and password, X crashes and I'm at login prompt again. I can login with console just fine. Is there anything I can do prevent X from crashing?
