• iframe accessing parent DOM?

  How is it possible for a script within an <iframe> to have any notion of the page containing it? Can a script in the frame access any context outside of it? What about cross-domain? Up until now I believed an <iframe> is completely agnostic to the containing page, but I have seen an example which contradicts this belief. What exactly can and can't be done from within an <iframe> with respect to the containing page?

• Engine finish() causes segmentation fault

  Hello All - I am using M2Crypto revision 723 from the repository. I am trying to clean up my engine. If I have the pkcs11.finish() line in my script, the script finishes but gets a segmentation fault at the end. Without the finish() line, no segmentation fault occurs. • php POST and non-english language chars passes empty

  I'm trying to program a Hebrew site with a search option. (old site and the charset of this site is windows-1255) I am using php 5.2 with Apache 2.2, on a Debian 5 (Lenny) with appropriate code pages enabled. I am using _POST to pass arguments to a script. If I pass English word to the script everything works, but when I use Hebrew nothing is passed through the POST function. When I use ECHO to show _POST, the variable is empty. What might be the problem? P.S. this is old site that worked fine on PHP 4 with debian 4, and the problem arised only after we upgrade to PHP5+debian5.

• SSMS Results to Grid - CRLF not preserved in copy/paste - any better techniques?

  When I have a result set in the grid like: SELECT 'line 1 line 2 line 3' or SELECT 'line 1' + CHAR(13) + CHAR(10) + 'line 2' + CHAR(13) + CHAR(10) + 'line 3' With embedded CRLF, the display in the grid appears to replace them with spaces (I guess so that they will display all the data). The problem is that if I am code-generating a script, I cannot simply cut and paste this. I have to convert the code to open a cursor and print the relevant columns so that I can copy and paste them from the text results. Is there any simpler workaround to preserve the CRLF in a copy/paste operation from the results grid? The reason that the grid is helpful is that I am currently generating a number of scripts for the same object in different columns - a bcp out in one column, an xml format file in another, a table create script in another, etc...

• Open an attachment for editing and save changes made to it

  My Lotus Notes document has a rich text item that stores an attachment. I want to edit the attachment and after this to save the attachment back to the Lotus Notes document. This is the script that launches the attachment: @Command([EditGotoField];"Attachment"); @Command([EditSelectAll]); @Command([AttachmentLaunch]); @Command([EditDeselectAll]) This script opens the attachment, but the changes made are not reflected to the Lotus Document. One way of solving this is to add AttachmentActionDefault=2 as an entry to the notes.ini. This enables to edit the attachment when double clicking on attachment. Also using the right click on the attachment, and then choosing edit action, produces the same result. In both cases, after saving, the changes are reflected back to the Lotus Notes document. The problem is that I want to use a button for opening the attachment.

• importing content into drupal.

  I have a wordpress site with 5k post and each post has average 25 comments. so 125k total nodes have to be added. I need import those posts and comments into drupal 6 . I have written a script to import those post/comments into drupal by drupal's cron service. but the cron service keeps time out. because import 125k nodes one by one is very slow. what can i do to imporve drupal importing speed? i am use drupal built in node_save(), comment_save() method to do it. I have not find out a way to use customized SQL query to increase importing speed yet. I am execute my script through drupals's cron.php, that mean even i have set 'max_execute_time' to unlimited, but that only affects PHP , apache server has it own time out setting.

  I am trying to run a Java program from my Perl script. I would like to avoid using System.exit(1) and System.exit(-1) commands in Java. I am however printing to STDOUT and STDERR from Java. In my Perl script, I am reading from Java's stdout and using that line by line output. How do I print stderr and fail if I ever see stderr? • PHPMailer safe practices - Send escaped / sanitized variables or not ?

  I'm using the PHPMailer-Lite class to build an email sending script and I'm not sure if I should use addslashses() on the $name variable when adding it to the constructor. If somebody's last name would be O'Riley (or any other name that contains characters which should normally be sanitized before handling) and I would send it unescaped, wouldn't it mess with the script/email sending ? Is it safe to send it unescaped ? As a side note, I would also like to avoid having my message body say "Hello, O\'Riley". Looking at the source, I saw that it only trims the whitespace and line ending (\r\n) characters from the received $name variable, so any advice on this would be more than welcome. • Change a localized InfoPlist.strings using an Xcode target

  Here's an obscure problem. I'm using an InfoPlist.strings to localize my app name. It's only got one value: CFBundleDisplayName = "Mon App". The strings file is localized (putting it in a directory for that localization). I've just made an extra target, where I change things like the non-localized app name (different Info.plists), and the icon. I'm also changing the Default.png using a run script build phase (copying different files depending on the app type I'm building). I've tried using the script to copy different versions of my InfoPlist.strings, but I couldn't make it work. Here's what I used: if($TARGET_NAME == "MonApp")then cp fr.lproj/MonApp_InfoPlist.strings fr.lproj/InfoPlist.strings endif I've seen a post suggesting wincent strings util for processing strings, but wanted to see if there's an easy way to do this. • Problem with autocommit in ANT SQL task

  I have an SQL script and want to apply it witn ANT task. This script clears out schema, creates new tables and views. The ANT defined task as follows: <sql driver="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" url="jdbc:mysql://host:3306/smth" userid="smth" password="smth" expandProperties="false" autocommit="true" src="all.sql" > </sql> When this task launches, it shows in log that tables are cleared and created. But when it tries to create first view, it fails with: Failed to execute: CREATE VIEW component... AS SELECT component_raw.id AS MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Table 'component_raw' doesn't exist I have no idea why it fails here. Running this all.sql from MySQL query browser gives no errors. When I launched ANT with -v option, I didn't see any "COMMIT" messages.. Please, help to resolve the problem.
