Is there some library which I could wrap so I could call it from the commandline and run refactorings like extract method from Textmate or Vim? I am mainly thinking about on the Mono framework.
I'm writing a PropertiesMustMatch validation attribute that can take a string property name as a parameter. I'd like it to find the corresponding property by name on that object and do a basic equality comparison. What's the best way to access this through reflection?
Also, I checked out the Validation application block in the Enterprise Library and decided its PropertyComparisonValidator was way too intense for what we need.
I know, that modern compilers can do procedural integration not only with functions defined inline, but also with functions residing in object files. But is this also true when you compile your program against shared library (especially dll)? Roughly speaking: will function code be copied into executable from dll, if that's desirable?
If I have have some overloaded ostream operators, defined for library local objects, is its okay for them to go to std namespace? If I do not declare them in std namespace, then I must use using ns:: operator <<.
As a possible follow-up question, are there any operators which should go to standard or global namespace?
If I'm alreadu using jquery library on site then should i use origional sifr or jquery plugin.

I am searching for an expression builder GUI (like the one used in Microsoft Access). It can be plain Javascript or JQuery plugin. I am loathe to build my own and reinvent the wheel if one already exists - and yet, a search on Google does not find anything remotely useful.
Is anyone aware of any such library/plugin or article that covers this?
Hi,
Is there a built-in way to create vCard files in the .NET Compact Framework?
If not, what is a good library for this?
I have found this one which after some adaptations would seems to be able to do the job on the Compact Framework:
http://thoughtproject.com/Libraries/vCard/index.htm
But I'm not sure if there is not a build-in or more standard way to do it.

I have a function which takes a custom struct as the argument. how can I figure out what the argument should be? I know it is a date format of sorts... (C library imported to Objective-C...)

I am programming a process monitoring tool which is written in C++, windows application. Is there anyway to send out alert email when the tool find the process go down? Any library support this? or any solution is fine. Thanks.
Hi,
I stumbled upon http://www.kettletime.com.au/chance where the user needs to drag and drop a box with a number into another box to prove that he is human.
How do you implement this? Any free library to do this?
Thanks
The idea is to have a PHP script parse a given .patch file and will apply the given patch accordingly. Assume that the script has no access to command line so the script will have to do the parsing itself. Is there a library somewhere?
Is there any library other than RPXNow which provides single sign on for all major email servers?
Are there any asp.net web forms based samples for RPXNow?
Hi all

I'm just getting started with Mac and iPhone development, and naturally my first step is to change the color theme. I've found a theme I like here, but I can't find the folder they reference in my ~/Library/Application Support/ folder. How can I install these files?
Thanks!
I have a C# ASP.NET MVC application which has been using jquery 1.3.2 in VS2008 environment.
I decided to upgrade to 1.4.2 and added the file to my project. Changed the reference in my masterpage header to the new version. But now nothing works, it's like it can't find the jquery library.
What could be wrong?
I have a As3 file and I get a runtime error:
ReferenceError: **Error #1008**: Tooltip is ambiguous; Found more than one matching binding.
I have a class named Tooltip and also a symbol in library with linkage class: Tooltip and Base Class fvg.Tooltip (fvg is the name of the package). Why I get this conflict?
What options for async io (socket-based) are there in java other then java.nio? Also does java.nio use threads in the backround (as I think .NET's async-socket-library does, maybe it's been changed) or is it "true" async io using a proper select call?
I am looking for a way to implement "View as HTML" (as seen in e.g. GMail) for Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF documents stored in an intranet. Can anyone recommend approaches for this?
The intranet consists of multiple .NET sites, so I would prefer a .NET library (one that doesn't launch MS Word on the server) for this capability, but any kind of arrangement is welcome.
There was an article here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/Ee817667%28pandp.10%29.aspx
The first part of tut implemented this pattern with abstract classes. The second part shows an example with Interface class. But nothing in this article discusses why this pattern would rather use abstract or interface.
So what explanation (advantages of one over the other) would you give ? Not in general but for this precise pattern.
This one has me stumped, I need to re-write all requests to the javascript folder (js) to a special library handler system.
e.g.
rewrite http://localhost/admin/js/bar.js --> http://localhost/_lib/=admin/js/bar.js
Any ideas? I have tried the following which creates an error
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^(.*)$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /%1/_lib/$1 [NC]
(36)File name to long: cannot map GET /admin/js/bar.js to file
Like the title says, I want to parse XML in my iPhone application, but there is no NSXMLParserDelegate protocol like there is in the System Foundation framework.
Can I just add a reference to the /System/Library/Frameworks/Foundation.framework in my iPhone application?
I doubt if this is encryption but I can't find a better phrase. I need to pass a long query string like this:
http://test.com/test.php?key=[some_very_loooooooooooooooooooooooong_query_string]
The query string contains NO sensitive information so I'm not really concerned about security in this case. It's just...well, too long and ugly. Is there a library function that can let me encode/encrypt/compress the query string into something similar to the result of a md5() (similar as in, always a 32 character string), but decode/decrypt/decompress-able?
How can I use SharePoint's Content Approval to enforce the rule that any two people in a group can make a change?
We have a policy library that any two individuals can update (a modifier and an approver). If I do a group parallel approval, the modifier can approve their own work (I believe).
Unfortunately, I don't have access to Visual Studio or even SharePoint Designer (as these have been disabled by corporate).
