• PushViewController after presentModalViewController like in Apples Alarm Clock app

  Hello together, my Question is quite simple. I have an add-button. When I tap on it -- presentmodelviewController presents a UIViewController, which contains a simple Table with cells. When I tap on a Cell, i want to display a new View using pushViewController, which automatically creates a "back Button". At the top of it in this new View i have a Textfield, where I can enter some Text. When I tap the back-button, the view slides back to the add-View (which was presented using modalView...). Now i want the text edited in the view before to be placed in the Label of the first row (cell) on which I tapped. So I want to do this for 5 cells. Each of them presenting another xib. Please, can anyone help? Thanks for your helpful replies.

I have my table like this Product (uuid, Name) and one datagridview to display this information ( dataGridView.DataSouce = Products which is assign on runtime) My problem is that I want to have "No" column on dataGridView which will show like below No | Name 1 | ProdctA 2 | ProductB 3 | ProductC What I do right now is create a "No" field on my product Model, and loop through all the row and assign value to it. • Alpha transparent PNGs not displaying correctly in Mobile Safari

  I'm using some semi-transparent PNGs as background-images on various websites. These are usually something like a 1x1 image with a 30-percent opaque white layer. I've noticed that Mobile Safari does not display them correctly, giving them a darker/grayish tint. I've created a couple test pages to illustrate. View them both in your normal browser, and then on Mobile Safari, and you should see what I mean. This shows 11 red images of varying opacities on white: http://thecompleteworks.org/alpha-tests/index-red.html This shows 11 white images of varying opacities on blue: http://thecompleteworks.org/alpha-tests/index.html Is this a MobileSafari bug (I couldn't imagine so), or do I need to do something different, either to my pages or PNGs?   I want to make my system redirect unknown requests such as www.address.com/a_company to the adress www.address.com/companies/company/ and display the company a_company if it exists in the database, otherwise throw the user to a 404 not found page. So in detail, I want to make namespace that is as the first example dynamically, if the company exist in the database, I have no problem connecting to the database and retrieving information or finding a way to parse a company name, I just need help how to make my system check and run a function every time the address doesn't exist and show the second page (/companies/company/).. I am using an Acl as well, but I think it should be fine if the page is /companies/company and then possibly add /?c=a_company or similar. Thank you. /Marcus

  I am trying to display an amount of colorpicker controls depending on an amount of colors in a xamnl resourcedictionary file. For some reason I can't figure out the right way to do this. When loading it in through a XAMLReader to a ResourcesDictionary Object, I m not sure what is the best way to iterate over it. I had first tried to handle it as xml, using XDocument.Elements() which gave an empty IEnumerable when trying to get al the elements. What is the best way to do this ?

• Silverlight chart with behavior/bitmap image tooltip passthrough

  I have a chart showing bound data as tooltips and it works well. I have added a magnifier(set of behaviors class) that captures a bitmap image at two times scale that shows in a circular area over the hover spot. The tooltip does not display. I have tried a custom tooltip service but cannot bind it to the behaviors. I added the tooltip to the behavior class and got a tooltip and data but could not move it with the magnifier. It just sits in the middle and laughs. I added a usercontrol "tooltip"-same issues, could not hook it to the magnifier behavior. I know I can probably build a popup, but really wanted to just pass through the bitmap layer with the tootip. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Danny

  In my Eclipse plugin I'd like to send a Java console output (loaded from some other system) to the Java Stack Trace Console. I pseudo-code it'd be something like: get the console output from the other system obtain a reference to a JavaStackTraceConsolePage instance send the text to the console page display the console i.e. switch from my plugin's view to the Console view Step 1 is easy as it is specific to my plugin. As for the rest I'm pretty much clueless - Google and stackoverflow.com don't come up with useful references or how-tos. Since the class JavaStackTraceConsolePage is part of an internal Eclipse API (org.eclipse.jdt.internal.debug.ui.console) I'm not even sure whether it's doable at all.

  Question:- Page is a typical search page with few filters on it. When search for records based on filters, it shows result in Gridview. From grid view records, user can click on any record to see the details which takes the focus on new page. Its working fine so far. Now when user comes back from details page to search page. I am loosing selected filters values and no result in grid view. How can i display selected filters and its results in gridview when user is coming back on search page? Any example etc.? FYI, I am using sessions to pass parameters to the ObjectDatasource.

  Hi, I'm using MVVM in my WPF project. Now I want to display a subwindow when someone presses a button. To achieve this classically I would call the Show() method. What I want now, to keep my application clear, is to bind the button to the Show() function of the subwindow. As the button click (menu click, whatever) is not always allowed I wrote a custom command that evaluates if the command can be executed. However, I did not found a clue how to call the function of that control in a clean way. Is this the point to do some classic style (code in the frontend)? -sa

  Basically i want to create XMLDesigner kind of thing in Flex, using which user can add/edit components and properties of view/dashboard. i am storing view structure in a xml file. i parsed that file at runtime and display view.   SQL Server Edition: 2008 Enterprise Visual Studio: 2010 w/ .NET 4.0 SSMS 2008 Addin - Data Scripter project source code on CodePlex references Microsoft.SqlServer.SqlTools.VSIntegration.dll I have referenced the DLL under <<Microsoft SQL Server install location>>\100\Tools\Binn\VSShell\Common7\IDE But here is the oddity. Microsoft.SqlServer.SqlTools.VSIntegration.dll contains a namespace Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.UI.VSIntegration, which in turn contains ServiceCache (public sealed). As soon as I add the reference, ServiceCache is highlighted (meaning there is no reference issue) But the problem arises when I compile the project and VS 2010 throws up an error that it cannot find ServiceCache. The name 'ServiceCache' does not exist in the current context Why is that ServiceCache is not visible during compile time but looks like it's available right after adding the assembly? And Reflector does show that ServiceCache is part of the assembly that the project is referencing, but Visual Studio intellisense fails to display it. Any had this kind of problem? • How to stop the android soft keyboard from ever coming up in my entire application

  I'm developing an application on a hardware device that has a built-in hardware keyboard that does not slide out so is always visible (like a blackberry). Therefore, I NEVER want the soft keyboard to display for my entire application. I'm aware of another SO question that gives the following lines of code: InputMethodManager imm = (InputMethodManager)getSystemService(Context.INPUT_METHOD_SERVICE); imm.hideSoftInputFromWindow(myEditText.getWindowToken(), 0); But I don't know where to put this code to hide the soft keyboard in all places where it might possibly appear in my Activity. I have tried adding the code to Activity.onUserInteraction to no avail. It seems the keyboard appears after the onUserInteraction executes.

• How to use RadSpell within a Telerik MVC Grid editor popup?

  Is it possible to use RadSpell within a Telerik MVC Grid editor popup? I have followed some of the examples online to use RadSpell with ASP.NET MVC (http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/mvc-using-spellchecker.html and http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/spell-client-side-api.html) and I am able to attach multiple text controls to check but the display gets messed up when using Telerik MVC Grid editor popups since it's already in a modal. Sometimes it will randomly pick another div on the page and treats it like it's the main window (it will gray out just a portion of the page and I'll see the RadSpell popup peeking through but it's unusable). It seems like it chooses different places in the DOM to inject the iframe/radwindow for RadSpell as well. Any ideas? I didn't include any code because my implementation is a mess and I'd prefer to start with something simpler, from scratch.

  On a MVC 2 website what I want to do is get a list of products / CategoryId. From that list, create a list of distinct CategoryId's. Then randomly pick a categoryId from the second list and use it to get all the products for that categoryId. I then want to store that CategoryId so that I don't display those products on the next run. I don't need any code examples to start. What I'm wondering is that I think I would put this code in a class in my model (Dll) and store the list of displayed CategoryId's in session. Is this a good solution or should I go another way?   I'm starting to train Prism (CAL) with a small application and faced some problems. I'm creating multiple instances of my MainView, which itself contains some regions, and display them in the Shell. I'm using locally scoped regions to easily handle view injections within my MainView. Currently I'm searching for a way of communication between the views (viewModels) inside the MainView. Composite events could do it, but when I publish those events, they are handled in all instances of my MainView, which I really don't want. Is there a way of raising "locally scoped" composite events like with locally scoped regions? Or may be there's a better way of communicating between views in my case?

  I've checked out Apple's Quick Look Programming Guide: Introduction to Quick Look page in the Mac Dev Center, but as a more of a science programmer rather than an Apple programmer, it is a little over my head (but I could get through it in a weekend if I bash my head against it long enough). Does anyone know of a good basic Quick Look Generators tutorial that is simple enough for someone with only very modest experience with Xcode? For those that are curious, I have a filetype called .evt that has an xml header and then binary info after the header. I'm trying to write a generator to display the xml header. There's no application bundle that it belongs to. Thanks!

• Software to Mind Map Dependencies

  I'm putting together something I'll soon release as OSS and I wanted to make a map of dependencies to get a clearer idea of the big picture. I ended up making the mind map myself using pen and paper: This is something I wish I could do more often, but mapping bigger projects manually is too troublesome (and virtually impossible due to the size of the sheet) and since I can't find any mind mapping software that fits my needs and allows me to display the map in the visual structure I want I often leave the mind maps in my mind alone, no visual representation whatsoever... Can anyone suggest a good mind mapping software that allows me to do something like the above? I've tried FreeMind and XMind so far but their visual structure is too rigid for what I need.

• Sorting an array in PHP based on different values

  I have an array whose elements are name, reversed_name, first_initial and second_initial. A typical row is "Aaron Smith", "Smith, Aaron", "a", "s". Each row in the array has a first_initial or second_initial value of "a". I need to display the rows alphabetically but based on the "a" part, so that either the name or reversed_name will be displayed. An example output would be: Aaron Smith Abbot, Paul Adrian Jones Anita Thompson Atherton, Susan I really have no idea how to sort the array this way so any help will be much appreciated!

• Issues with Ext-JS 1.1 date fields and Firefox 3.x / IE 8

  I'm modifying an older website for a client that uses Ext-JS 1.1 and I'm having issues with display of date fields in IE and particularly Firefox. The site was left in a semi-implemented state previously, so there's not been a perceived problem before. In Chrome and Safari everything looks fine and the datepicker drops down and displays correctly. However in Firefox the picker is displayed widened to cover the maximum scrollable brower width (very wide indeed), and in IE it's truncated to about two thirds of the width it should be. I am somewhat uncertain that this is due to our css, but because Chrome and Safari work fine I think it might be a problem with Ext-js itself. I realise that this is an old version of Ext-JS, but because everything else works fine I don't want to go to the trouble of upgrading unless that would be very straightforward (but how difficult would that be?) I don't myself use ExtJS and this is the only website my client has with it - so I'm really looking for the simplest possible solution.
