  I find completely contradicting reviews for the VERY same book on amazon and even some book writers are rewarding people for good reviews so basically most of the reviews are totally fake ! You can even figure it out from the reviewer name, which you'll similar to the writer's name and assume that they could actually be from the same country and the reviewer is just being helpful, to the book writer of course ! I can't make my mind for which book I should buy ! I only need a book or two that covers the Java associate and professional topics very well, not just an overview, I need a material that covers everything from A to Z. Even though I've been developing in Java for around 4.5 years but I must not know a detail or two. Would someone kindly shed some light on a good book based on actual experience with the book ?   I'm trying to configure Dynamic DNS client on my router with dd-wrt (v24-sp2) firmware so it would dynamically change IP address in one of the DNS records. • Exchange 2010 add mailbox server to DAG error

  Hello, i'm having some problems when adding a second mailbox server to my DAG in Exchange 2010. The test setup goes like this: 1x windows server 2008 (DC/DNS) 2x windows server 2008 (Exchange 2010) I have made sure all services are up and running and that the "Exchange Trusted Subsystem" account is set as a local admin. When i create a DAG i can add the first mailbox server (A) without any problems, but when i go to add the second (B) it gives me an error saying "Unable to contact the Cluster service on 1 other members (member) of the Database availability group. It does the same if i add (B) first and then try to add (A). P.S. 1.cmd is simply a batch of these commands: certutil -? | findstr /i ping set PROMPT=$P($t)$G certutil -ping certutil -pingadmin set PROMPT=$P$G EDIT1 I have succeeded to pin down the single windows API that causes the problem - DsGetDcName According to the windbg, the certutil -ping invokes it like so: PDOMAIN_CONTROLLER_INFO pdci; DWORD ret = ::DsGetDcName(NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL, DS_DIRECTORY_SERVICE_PREFERRED, &pdci); On my workstation it times out for 30 seconds and then returns error code 1355, which is ERROR_NO_SUCH_DOMAIN No domain controller is available for the specified domain or the domain does not exist. On another machine, which is accidentally a windows server 2003, it returns almost immediately with the correct domain controller name inside the returned DOMAIN_CONTROLLER_INFO structure. Now the question is what is missing on my workstation for that API to find the correct domain controller?

• Home Networking Questions

  Hello: I'm looking to wire my home with CAT-X (where X is probably going to be CAT-6, unless someone can convince me differently. ;) ). I'm seeking advice on what equipment I'll need for the job, and any things I should watch out for. It's a two story half-duplex I'll be wiring, roughly about 1800 sq ft. Here's what I believe I need so far: Bulk CAT-6 Ethernet cabling CM Rated Gigabit switch(es?) Patch panel Equipment for cutting, terminating wire, fishing through walls, etc Wall outlet covers, etc. Questions I have: Does it matter the MHz rating on the Ethernet cable? If so, why? I have two gigabit switches currently, an 8-port and a 5-port. Should I buy one massive switch to cover all the connections I need, or should I just chain the two together and buy a switch for however many other connections I need? Do I really need a patch panel? I understand it keeps the cables looking cleaner than coming out of a hole in the wall, but is there some other product I can use, perhaps combining a switch with a patch panel or some such? Ideally I'll have all this running out of a relatively small closet, so the less components (or smaller) the better. Any advice, links, or suggested product to use/avoid would be appreciated!
