    Does anybody know the mathematics behind an attack on DSA where modulus p has p-1 made up of only small factors. In reality, this would not happen as the key generator would guarantee that this is not so. There is much information on the web on generating good input paramters for DSA so that it is hard to crack but no information on how you find X if modulus p has p-1 made up of only small factors.

  • Loading a Reusable UITableViewCell from a Nib

    I am able to design custom UITableViewCells and load them just fine using the technique described in the thread found at http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=545061. However, using that method no longer allows you to init the cell with a reuseIdentifier which means you have to create whole new instances of each cell at every call. Has anyone figured out a good way to still cache particular cell types for reuses, but still be able to design them in Interface Builder?

What I would like to do is use a MC in my flash file to act like a button and when clicked open the sharethis pop up to share this particular video's url. I am thinking as a workaround, which is quite simple, I will just daisy chain my events: fire event A. do something on event A. a. fire event B do something on event B. Any comments with this design?     I have seen yahoo ui using div for every node of the tree. Is this a good thing to do. Seems like every node including leaf node is heavily nested. I saw a div, table, tr, td being used for creating a node. Is this necessary. Is there a better way to do the same. I tried to us tr for every node. Are there any issues with this approach Thanks

    Hello What are sources of latency in process of sending/receiving tcp/udp packets in linux 2.6 ? I want to know a latency sources in "ping-pong" latency tests. There are some rather good papers of ethernet latency, but they cover only latency sources in the wire and switch (and rather cursory, only for specific switch). What steps of processing does follow a packet? Papers with deep latency analysis of usual ping (icmp) will be useful too. I rely on community :)

    First post here. I have a asp/vb6 web app that logs in a user I want to encrypt the users identity field and pass(querystring) it to a asp.net app and then decrypt it to do a db lookup. I've google'd it of course and found rot13, not secure enough. I've also found some hits on MD5 / RC4 but did not find any good examples of encrypt / decrypt. Thanks, Michael

  • Binding to a collection of DependencyObjects in Silverlight 4

    As of Silverlight 4 it is possible to data bind against a DependencyObject (instead of a Framework element in previous versions). So far so good, but how do I bind agains a collection of DependencyObjects. The DataContext is not passed from the ObservableCollection to the collection elements, so that the DependencyProperties of the DependencyObjects are never called (neither the changed events). Neither the DependencyObject offers SetBinding or DataContext to initialize the binding manually. Thanks for any advice here.

    I know that in C++, I can declare variables pretty much everywhere. I recall once reading that in C, variables must be declared at the top of a function i.e. the following is invalid: void foo() { int good; if (...) { int bad; } } In the above code, is the declaraing of the bad varaible legal by C standards, or only legal due to a gcc extension? We're setting up both RPM and DEB repositories to make upgrading easier. Is it appropriate to add our repository to /etc/apt/sources.list or /etc/yum.repos.d automatically as part of the initial install? Are there any good reasons not to?

    I'm using @font-face for some headers. The replaced typeface is different in dimension and overall character. When the switch happens, the old typeface's rules don't look so good. Other than writing a conditional Javascript script, is there a way to have a set of CSS rules for @font-face fonts (if the browsers supports it) and CSS rules for the unreplaced default fonts?
