• Maven profile for single module

  I have a multi module maven project, which builds successfully, I'd like to build just one of the modules I have. How would I do that with profiles ? I could do it from console in two ways, one way is go to the child module and mvn package or I could use reactor to build just one module. Can I do the same thing with profiles? By modifying POM? Thank you EDIT If is impossible from POM, can I do it from settings.xml ?

  I am using the h5py python package to read files in HDF5 format. (e.g. somefile.h5) I would like to write the contents of a dataset to a text file. For example, I would like to create a text file with the following contents: 1,20,31,75,142,324,78,12,3,90,8,21,1 I am able to access the dataset in python using this code: import h5py f = h5py.File('/Users/Me/Desktop/thefile.h5', 'r') group = f['/level1/level2/level3'] dset = group['dsetname'] My naive approach is too slow, because my dataset has over 20000 entries: # write all values to file for index in range(len(dset)): # do not add comma after last value if index == len(dset)-1: txtfile.write(repr(dset[index])) else: txtfile.write(repr(dset[index])+',') txtfile.close() return None Is there a faster way to write this to a file? Perhaps I could convert the dataset into a NumPy array or even a Python list, and then use some file-writing tool? (I could experiment with concatenating the values into a larger string before writing to file, but I'm hoping there's something entirely more elegant)

• Android -- How to post app rating/comments to Market from within app?

  Hello all, This is a simple question. Is there a way to allow users to enter in a comment and or rating for my app from directly within my app and have that data posted back to the Android Market? If so, what would the code for that look like if I used an EditText view to allow user input? If not, then is my only other option directly linking to my app in the Market (i.e. the user clicks the link in my app, or a button, and the Market app launches with my app page displayed)?   I am working on a PPC2003 application. The devices on which the application has to run have a modem and VPN connection set. I want to automatically dial the system default "work" connection, which is the VPN one, which dial the modem one first. The user has another application who does automatically make the system dial the default connection. But I can't undertand how to do it from my Compact .NET application. I tried using OpenNETCF net package, but I could not make it work.

• Pass page scope attributes to a JSP using pagecontext.include for use in JSTL?

  We're using this JSP template solution almost verbatim at work: http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/javaserverpages/jsp_templates/ When it gets JSP pages to be included, it uses pageContext.include, which leaves us with one problem, and that is that we have a lot of scriplet code that gets initialized in the JSP itself (tag soup). My thought was to modify the template tag with an additional attribute that is a package path reference to a class with an init or execute method. That execute would get called first, and would add page context attributes before including the JSP. We would then use JSTL to access those attributes. However, I was told this wouldn't work because of how pageContext.include works, and the inability to pass through attributes scoped to the page. Is that true, and are there workarounds? I'm so-so on knowing all my scoping rules.

  Hi, Does anyone have a good suggestion on how to do video recording? We have a camera that can record and then stream live video to a server. So this means we can have 1000's of cameras sending data 24X7 for recording. We will store data for over 7 / 14 / 30 days depending on the package. Per day if a camera is sending data to the server then it will store 1.5GB. So that means there is a traffic of 1.5GB / day / camera Total monthly 45GB / month / camera (Data + bandwidth for one camera) Please let me know the most cost effective way to get this data stored?   When run through javac on the cmd line Sun JVM 1.6.0_20, this code produces 6 .class files OuterClass.class OuterClass$1.class OuterClass$InnerClass.class OuterClass$InnerClass2.class OuterClass$InnerClass$InnerInnerClass.class OuterClass$PrivateInnerClass.class When run through JDT in eclipse, it produces only 5 classes. OuterClass.class OuterClass$1.class OuterClass$InnerClass.class OuterClass$InnerClass2.class OuterClass$InnerClass$InnerInnerClass.class OuterClass$PrivateInnerClass.class When decompiled, OuterClass$1.class contains nothing.   I'm trying do build and debug a small project for BlackBerry. During the build I'm getting this error Error preverifying class java ... I read on the net this error could be caused by referencing multiple projects but I tried to move every package in a single project but the error is still there. I tried with multiple JDE version (currently 4.7) and the Java compiler is set to 1.6. Eclipse version is 3.4.1 as recommended by RIM's documentations. Does someone have some clue?

  hi there, I bumped into a case where I need a big (=huge) python dictionary, which turned to be quite memory-consuming. However, since all of the values are of a single type (long) - as well as the keys, I figured I can use python (or numpy, doesn't really matter) array for the values ; and wrap the needed interface (in: x ; out: d[x]) with an object which actually uses these arrays for the keys and values storage. I can use a index-conversion object (input -- index, of 1..n, where n is the different-values counter), and return array[index]. I can elaborate on some techniques of how to implement such an indexing-methods with reasonable memory requirement, it works and even pretty good. However, I wonder if there is such a data-structure-object already exists (in python, or wrapped to python from C/++), in any package (I checked collections, and some Google searches). Any comment will be welcome, thanks.

• SSIS Script Component, Allow Null values

  I have a SSIS package that I am programming and my script component won't allow null column inputs. I have checked the box to keep nulls in the flat file source component. My program is running well until my script component where I get the error "The column has a null value" (super vague, I know). The column currently throwing the error is an "int" valued column and is used for aggregations in my script. I could make the null values 0s or to say "NULL" but I'd prefer to just leave them blank. Any advice on how to handle this problem would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! I am using SQL Server BIDS 2008.

• Mercurial: Share a repo without putting it on a server?

  I am working in a student group with several other people. We would like to use Mercurial as our version control system, but some of our files can't be put online in a public hosting service like Google Projects or Codeplex. Is there some way that we can host a repo on our own machines, passing the files/changesets between each other as necessary, without creating a horribly conflicted mess? I know that Mercurial has a bundle command that can be used to package a repo. If I do that, and send the bundle someone else, and they want to get the changes back to me, what's the best way to do that? Send me a bundle back? I have a shared hosting account on a server. Is there any chance I could run Mercurial off that box? How would I find this out?

  Hello, I created java enterprise application and it consists of ejb module and web application. I have plain old xml file in source packages folder in package "common" in my ejb module. I want to pass this file path in File() constructor for one class in ejb module. How do i do it? If i pass any of the below it doesn't work :- new File("abc.xml"); //this take file from glassfish/domains/domain1 :( new File("./abc.xml"); I don't want to pass hardcode path like /home/administrator/appname/module/etc.. I want the path relative from my ejb module. Please help me. I've tried all things. Actually when i created a class in same folder and then try classname.getResource("abc.xml").getPath() it works fine. But what if i don't have any class in that folder. Waiting for your replies

• Cannot find libmysqlclient under /usr. while build PHP 5.2 from source on Ubuntu 12.4

  I was trying to build PHP 5.2.17 from source on Ubuntu 12.4 64bit using this configuration: ./configure --prefix=/opt/php5.2 --with-config-file-path=/opt/php5.2 --with-mysql but I keep getting this error: configure: error: Cannot find libmysqlclient under /usr. Note that the MySQL client library is not bundled anymore! I suspected that dev package for mysql is not installed so tried installing libmysqlclient-dev but it was already there. Any Idea how to resolve this? EDIT1: I minimized the configure command so it just focuses to mysql. also I'm running a 64bit version of ubuntu. EDIT2: tried running ldconfig -v |grep mysql and here is the output # ldconfig -v |grep mysql /sbin/ldconfig.real: Path `/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu' given more than once /sbin/ldconfig.real: Path `/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu' given more than once /sbin/ldconfig.real: Cannot stat /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libnss_db.so: No such file or directory libmysqlclient.so.18 -> libmysqlclient_r.so.18.0.0 libmysqlpp.so.3 -> libmysqlpp.so.3.1.0

It'll be used during the 2.0 version is developed (ASP.NET MVC with C#). As its so different from the efault install packages, I've made it as normal windows application, not as setup application (a setup application don't let us customize so much as I need). And here is the problem: As its a windows application, I must "Release" it and send the compiled .EXE with the .DLLs, I must not "Publish" because if i do so, the published .EXE will "install the installer" and not my application. I need a way to verify and install the .NET Framework 3.5 like a bootstrap package prerequisite used in publishing option, but remember that I'm not publishing, I'm doing a "Release" build. Currently I can read the Gmail db with Gmail.java. There are some problems while I want to open Gmail Activity. In general, we can open Activity with Action and parameters. But Gmail App has not release code base. We do not know what Action set to Gmail Activity and what parmeter shall we put the extras. I do have a .java file already and would like to add a few lines of code to a method inside it. So, I would like the API to modify the java file directly/ create a modified copy of it. As far as I can tell, this seems to "work" -- JavaApplicationStub launches my application when I double click the file. However, no callback is registered through the ApplicationListener events I setup in java. I used the code listed in http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1460193/set-default-file-association-mac-os-x-java-package-maker-installer to do the file association, and the file association itself appears fine, but it seems as if it is the application stub trying to launch the file, and thus fails. I added the Apple ApplicatinListener code to my java application at (similar to http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/documentation/Java/Reference/1.5.0/appledoc/api/index.html?com/apple/eawt/Application.html) but it doesn't seem like my application ever gets a call back. the code is similar to Application.getApplicatin().addApplicationListener( new ApplicationAdapter() { public void handleOpenFile(ApplicationEvent evt) { //some logging message here that I never get} }); I should perhaps mention that I'm also using SWT... Any help would be appreciated
