About can't export the performance problems.

At first,let me describe my environment My VirtualCenter is install on window 2008 ,and theDataBase that VC used is SQL 2008 I really want to ask is ..... When I use vsphere clinet to connect VC.....I got a problem. the performance chart only can show "realtime "...... whatever I only want to view the chart , or I want to export the performance log . when i manually want to export performance, and I select the time to 1 hour ,1 day ,1 month, or from a to b. it showed "No performance data to report for selected objects" only select realtime can export data normally. Before I install Vsphere 4 , I install the SQL 2008 , used the schema in the install CD(I follow the step to create SQL DB for vSphere) Could anybody help me how to solve this problem? And if need any information ,just tell me to provide. Thanks a lot.

Hello, today we would like to show you few improvements we have prepared in PHP Smarty Framework for NetBeans 7.3. So let's talk about adjustable toggle comment action and code templates. Configurable Comments As some of you requested we implemented toggle comment action with adjustable behavior. In NetBeans 7.3 you can choose in Options between commenting as a "Smarty comments everywhere" or "Language sensitive comments" in Smarty Templates. Toggle comment language sensitive: Toggle comment as Smarty comment everywhere: Code Templates In NetBeans 7.3 we will provide by default many code templates inside Smarty templates or directly inside Smarty tags. Available should be code templates for all built-in or custom functions and modifiers of Smarty 3.x. Besides that you should be able to define additional custom templates easily in Options -> Editor -> Code Templates for "Smarty Templates" or directly for "Smarty Markup" (which means code templates inside Smarty tag). You can also take advantage of selection's template which are able to wrap your code with chosen Smarty tag. That's all for today. Installer doesn't display partition I want to install to

While performing a Ubuntu 10.10 installation on my laptop, it doesn't show partitions pertaining to the PC. My PC configuration is as follows : HP Pavilion dv6 - 2020AX AMD Turion II Dual Core Mobile Processor M500 4 GB RAM OS Installed : Windows 7 500 GB Hard drive partitioned as follows : C : 227 GB (Free : 142 GB) D : 11.9 GB (Free : 1.98 GB) - Recovery F : 174 GB (Free : 18 GB) G : 50.5 GB (Free : 50.4 GB) So, I want to perform a Dual-boot installation on my PC, so that Ubuntu resides in the free disk space G:. Therefore, I started the Ubuntu 10.10 installation and select the manual partitioning feature in the installation. However, in the 'Allocate Drive Space' section of the installation, following partitions information is displayed: Partition Type Size Used /dev/sda /dev/sda1 1 MB unknown /dev/sda2 ntfs 208 MB unknown /dev/sda3 ntfs 244813 MB 168540 MB /dev/sda4 ntfs 255083 MB 3221 MB where /dev/sda - 500 GB So, what exactly is the problem? What is it should I do to install Ubuntu 10.10 in the G: disk space? Why are the partitions not being shown as the way they should be? Any Suggestions. Thank you for the help.

What would you say would be the best way to do this: We would like to create a section on our activist community FB page and website in order to share with everyone images and files ready for printing panflets, brochures, t-shirts, stickers, etc. Let's say we have some cool slogans for t-shirts, so we would like to show them on a gallery, and offer for download the original design files needed for a print shop to create the t-shirts. And the same thing for all other kinds of media. We want to enable anyone to be able to just download the files for free, and easily create printed materials with them. But besides offering this hybrid between picture gallery and downloads manager, we would also like to make it very easy for anyone to upload and share their own files with the community, to make it a true collaboration initiative, be it that they get posted automatically, or that we first review and approve all uploads. Cafepress or Spreadshirt let you upload your design and sell your own merchandise. We need something similar, but where people can then download working files for making quality printings and materials. What apps, tools, services or methods are out there with which you think this could be best done?? We have some ideas, but we would like to hear some more!!

Hide Outlook envelope in system tray

When I get a new email in Outlook 2003 I get two notifications; one is the envelope in the system tray, and one is the fading noticiation message in the lower right corner. If I click the notification message, the envelope will never disappear, even if all emails are read. If Outlook is restarted the envelope disappears. If I right click the envelope and choose "Hide envelope" I have to go into the settings and set the Show envelope option to true again to see the envelope. I want the envelope, but only when there are any unread emails in my inbox. How do I fix this?

A few days ago I published a new article on DAX Patterns web site describing how to implement Basket Analysis in DAX. This topic is a very classical one and is also covered in the many-to-many revolution white paper. It has been also discussed in several blog posts, listed here in historical order: Simple Basket Analysis in DAX by Chris Webb PowerPivot, basket analysis and the hidden many to many by Alberto Ferrari Applied Basket Analysis in Power Pivot using DAX by Gerhard Brueckl As usual, in DAX Patterns we try to present the required DAX formulas in a way that is easy to adapt to specific models. We also try to show a good implementation from a performance point of view. Further optimizations are always possible in DAX. However, in order to keep the model simple to adapt in different scenarios, we avoid presenting optimizations that would require particular assumptions or restrictions on the data model. I hope you will find the Basket Analysis pattern useful. Even if you do not need it today, reading the DAX formula is a good exercise to check your knowledge of evaluation contexts in DAX. For example, describing how does it work the following expression is not a trivial task! Within the results tabulation WolframAlpha provided me with all sorts of neat data break downs. I now know exactly how many days it is to my next birthday, the composition of my aggregate posting habits (how many posts are status updates, links, or photos), the time of day when I do the most posting (and what the composition of those posts is), and my average post length. I also know my most liked post and my most commented on post. It will even crunch the numbers on your network of friends (60.6% of my friends are married, for example). By far one of the more interesting data analysis it does on the friendship data, however, is organizing all your friends into relationship clusters so you can see who in your Facebook network is friends with other people in your Facebook network. The service from WolframAlpha is free: simply visit the WolframAlpha search portal and type in “Facebook report” to start the process. You’ll be prompted to create a WolframAlpha account if you don’t have one and to authorize the WolframAlpha Facebook app to access your data. Your Facebook data is cached to your WolframAlpha account for one hour in order to crunch the numbers and display the results. What kinds of demos are good to make for a software engineer job

I have created my cv site and sent out my demos for a while now, but most of my demos are either from my course or games related since my course was a games programming course, I was wondering what kind of demos are good to show off my skills in programming in general. These are what i already have Pennies:just a simple game first coursework i did. Compiler:coursework for compiler writing module Pongout: basic a pong game in 68k using colour detection Snake: snake in 68k same thing as the pong Game Cube Maze: gamecube work BeatmyBot: basic Ai Basic plat-former game: 2d game with different types of collision Turing Lambda Simulation: my dissertation Turing machine simulated in Miranda. alpha and Beta reduction,and SKI calculus simulated in the Turing machine. What I am asking here is what kind of demos are good to add or have, i have been looking and have hit a tough spot I cant think of anything to make more than games. so for a general graduate software engineer what types would be good examples? Hello fellow programmers, I was just wondering what makes php work faster, I have a few methods that I always go and do, but that only improves the way I can read it, but how about the interpreter? Should I include the curly braces when there is only one statement to run? if(...){ echo "test"; } # Or.. if(...) echo "test"; === Which should be used? I have also found http://beta.phpformatter.com/ and I find the following settings to be good, but are they? Indentation: Indentation style: {K&R (One true brace style)} Indent with: {Tabs} Starting indentation: [1] Indentation: [1] Common: [x] Remove all comments [x] Remove empty lines [x] Align assignments statements nicely [ ] Put a comment with the condition after if, while, for, foreach, declare and catch statements Improvement: [x] Remove lines with just a semicolon (;) [x] Make normal comments (//) from perl comments (#) [x] Make long opening tag (<?php) from short one (<?) Dual-Boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04.1

I installed Ubuntu 12.04.1 alongside Windows 7. I wanted to check out what it's all about. By the way, i actually like the interface a lot and the free office suite is very very nice. I love how they can save to the .docx as well. Onto the story: I installed it using this tutorial and I set it all up and everything and things were great. I used the EasyBCD 2.2 Tool and created an Ubuntu 12.04.1 entry and when I boot the computer the Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04.1 option show up. However, when I click Ubuntu it does not boot. It say and error and says I must put in the Windows CD to repair or something like this. Here's my system specs: ASRock Extreme4 (EUFI BIOS) Corsair Vengaence 2x4GB nVidia GeForce 9800GT i5-3570K 3.4GHz Corsair 620W Modular 500GB WD Caviar Blue I have no clue what could be wrong with it and I would love any assistance. I am willing to mess around and if something happens wrong I can just reinstall windows and it won't be a huge deal. Thank you very much! Powershell variables to string

I'm new to powershell. I'm trying to write an error handler to wrap around my script. Part of the error handler is dumping out some variable settings. I spent a while trying to do this and couldn't google a complete solution so I thought I'd post something. I want to display the $myinvocation variable. In powershell you can do this PS C:\> $myInvocation for my purpose I want to create a stringbuilder object and append the $myinvocation info. Firefox 3.5.5 won't install greasemonkey

hi all, i've been struggling with this for a while now: i can't install greasemonkey on my firefox portable 3.5.5 :( it must be something with the latest update to 3.5.5. (i'm having win7 x64 ultimate) upgrading greasemonkey didn't work so i completely de-installed it and then tried (no success): installing greasemonkey via addons-dialog installing .xpi manually installing with "restart firefox" button installing by quitting + restarting firefox it simply just won't install / show up under addons. of course i de-activated all other plugins and started firefox as administrator. any ideas? thx

Jenkins shows same information for all projects

I've been using Jenkins for the last month or so and what started out as a small issue has gotten worse and worse. I have 10 projects in Jenkins, all polling from different Git repos and building to different environments but they all show the same details on the dashboard. I can still build the projects, but I have to manually enter the URL to see any console output etc. I'm running 1.536 under Ubuntu 12.04, there's not much in the logs other than the following; Oct 22, 2013 2:21:19 PM WARNING jenkins.model.lazy.AbstractLazyLoadRunMap search JENKINS-15652 Assertion error #1: failing to load /data/builds #20 EXACT: lo=23,hi=9,size=23,size2=23 – Any ideas?

bluetooth headset can connect, but not visible in pulse audio

I have a plantronics bluetooth headset, and until yesterday I could use it without any problem. However, today it suddenly stopped working (maybe related to the last software update I did). I can still connect/disconnect my headset, but it doesn't show up in pulse audio anymore. I read through various posts that describes kind of the same problem, but none of the suggested solutions worked. What is the proper SEO handling of pages appearing in popups using IFRAMEs?

I am working on a CMS which makes use of IFRAMEs to display some forms, for illustration, say a Search form. So the user clicks the Search button and the website reacts by opening a popup window which includes an IFRAME to the actual Search form. This means I have a "bare"¹ page with the search form. Page which, obviously, is directly accessible via its own URI. In terms of SEO, the forms have no content worthy of being indexed, so I was thinking to mark them as NOINDEX. Is that the correct way to handle such pages? From what I read on some other question, Google suggests to put links from IFRAMEs to other pages. However, I definitively do not want a user visible link to the Home page, or whatever page in link with the form, in the content of my forms because that could be misinterpreted by the user. However, if <link> tags would work too, which one should I use? (i.e. "top" would work, right? with the home page in there?) ¹ By bare I mean that the normal theme is not show, it will be a plain white background with just and only the simplest form.

Is there an application I can run that will tell me how fast my computer is running?

At work I log into a virtual Windows machine. I'm told it runs as fast as a PC, but I'm skeptical. Is there an application I can run on the machine that will tell me how faster the machine is actually running? It would be nice if it ran on Windows and on Mac. Updating with more details -- I was asked "why does it matter" -- here's why: It matters because I'm a programmer and I need as much speed (CPU and memory) as possible to do my work. IMO, the virtual machine is noticeably slower than a basic $800 PC would be, but I need a way a proving it. Websites like Bandwidthtest.com can show me my internet speed, so I'm wondering if there's an app that can test my computer's speed.

Google Blogger Website CName and/or Text File Issues

I have a blogger Blog website and I would like to have it show up on my company website. I have read a couple articles out there on how to do it. A hand full of them talk about using FTP which is old and no longer available. However, I am trying to following along with this one: http://www.infinite42.com/small-business/integrate-blogger-blog-website Which seems pretty easy but I am having a problem getting Google to Verify the DNS CName or Text Record that I created on my Windows 2007 Server. Do I need to create this record at the registra level. Right now the domain is setup at the registra to point the www record to my server where on my server I tried the Txt Record and the CName Record with no luck in DNS. Here are the Google instructions for creating a CName file record in DNS: Follow the steps below to create a DNS (Domain Name System) record that proves to Google that you own the domain. Add the CNAME record below to the DNS configuration for abc.com. CNAME Label / Host: CNAME Destination / Target: Click Verify below. When Google finds this DNS record, we'll make you a verified owner of the domain. (Note: DNS changes may take some time. If we don't find the record immediately, we'll check for it periodically.) To stay verified, don't remove the DNS record, even after verification succeeds. Here is the link to do it with a CName: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2012/08/domain-verification-using-cname-records.html When I go to add my CName record on my server's DNS the only two fields available are Alias Name and Fully Qualified Domain Name. Direct DB to Web Server connection

I have a database server sitting right underneath a virtual machine host server in the rack, and this vm host is primarily responsible for servers hosting a couple different web sites and app servers that all talk to databases on the other server. Right now both servers are connected to the same switch, and I'm pretty happy with the pathing. However, both servers also have an unused network port. I wondering about the potential benefits of using a short crossover or normal+auto mdix network cable to connect these two servers together directly. Is this a good idea, or would I be doing something that won't show much benefit and is just likely to trip up a future admin who's not looking for this? The biggest weakness I can see right now is that this would likely require a code change for each vm app to point to the new IP of the database server on this private little network, and if I have a problem with the virtual machine host and have to spin up it's guests elsewhere while I fix it I'll have to change this back before things will work.
