• Error: 30509 -- Bluetooth not available iPad and iPhone GameKit stuff

  When trying to connect the iPad to the iPhone via bluetooth it stays on the "Looking for other iPhones or iPod touches" screen on both. If i try running the iPhone version on both, they find each other. Is this some sort of restriction? • Adding XOR function to bigint library

  Hi, I'm using this Big Integer library for Javascript: http://www.leemon.com/crypto/BigInt.js and I need to be able to XOR two bigInts together and sadly the library doesn't include such a function. The library is relatively simple so I don't think it's a huge task, just confusing. I've been trying to hack one together but not having much luck, would be very grateful if someone could lend me a hand. This is what I've attempted (might be wrong). But im guessing the structure is going to be quite similar to some of the other functions in there. function xor(x, y) { var c, k, i; var result = new Array(0); // big int for result k=x.length>y.length ? x.length : y.length; // array length of the larger num // Make sure result is the correct array size? maybe: result = expand(result, k); // ? for (c=0, i=0; i < k; i++) { // Do some xor here } // return the bigint xor result return result; } What confuses me is I don't really understand how it stores numbers in the array blocks for the bigInt. I don't think it's a case of simply bigintC[i] = bigintA[i] ^ bigintB[i], then most other functions have some masking operation at the end that I don't understand.   I read some documentations about classloaders, but im still not sure where and why they are needed. The Android API says: Loads classes and resources from a repository. One or more class loaders are installed at runtime. These are consulted whenever the runtime system needs a specific class that is not yet available in-memory. So if i understand this correct, there can be many classlaoders which are responsible for loading new classes. But how the system decides which to use? And in which situation should a developer instantiate a new classloader? In the Android API for Intent there is a method public void setExtrasClassLoader (ClassLoader loader) The description says: Sets the ClassLoader that will be used when unmarshalling any Parcelable values from the extras of this Intent. So can i define there a special classloader so that i can pass object with an Intent which are not defined in the receiving activity? An example: If activity A which is located in Project A (in Eclipse) defines an object which i want to send to Activity B in Project B using putExtra of the Intent object. If this object which is send over the Intent is not defined (source code in project B), then there is a NoClassDefFoundException. So can i use the method setExtraClassloader to avoid this exception? If yes, how can i decide which classloader object i have to pass? And how do I instantiate it correctly?

• Static Libraries on iPhone device

  I have two projects, a Cocoa iPhone application and a static library which it uses. I've tested it successfully on the iPhone simulator, but when I try to deploy it to my iPhone device I get (symbol not found) link errors. If I remove the dependancy of the library the project builds/runs fine. I have made sure all the build settings are set to iPhoneOS not the simulator. Im sure its something simple, but has anyone run into similar problems moving from iPhone simulator to device? --EDIT: I have managed to create new projects (one for the application and one for the static library), and successfully get them to run on the iPhone or simulator. But I have a very strange problem... for each specific project I cannot get it working for BOTH the device and the simulator... I have double checked the build settings, made sure the libraries that are being references are for the matching build settings (I believe) but I cannot resolve these linking errors. I think I must be doing something very wrong... all the apple documentation says 'its super simple - one click' but this is giving me a lot of problems. This is probably something to do with xCode build settings, but I cannot seem to understand why selecting the different build platforms and rebuilding the libraries does not work.

• ipad tabbar rotation

  hi, please help with this noob questions but really making me go crazy if I create a project from scratch (using windows based app) for the ipad, and add a tabbar , with firstviewController, and secondviewController, it works fine, starts in landscape mode, but in info.plist I set it to Landscape(left home button), but really in simulator starts with the button on the right side! in the FirstViewController.m (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation { if (interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeLeft || interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight) return YES; else { return NO; }} so it starts in landscape, and rotates as the simulator rotates, but if I create a template app for iphone tabbar, set the info.plist Initial interface orientation Landscape (left home button) and add the code above, IT DOESNT WORK!!! simulator starts with button at left but tab bar on the side, same problem that I had with an app that Im porting from iphone to ipad, (landscape intended) I get to the landscape start mode, but the tab bar remains on the side! also the only way to make the old ported app to show the simulator on the side was with UIInterfaceOrientation UIIntefaceOrientationLandscapeLeft (didnt work with Initial interface orientation), does not let me choose the value for the key, but it shows the simulator on landscape,, so,, what can I do please to show the tab bar on landscape mode??? the tabbar from scratch was made to see if the code will work , but it didnt?? why does it work in the tab bar made from windows app and not tab bar app? I just want the tab bar to show in landscape ahhh, thanks

• problem loading texture with transparency with OpenGL ES and Android

  Im trying to load an image that has background transparency that will be layered over another texture. When i try and load it, all i get is a white screen. The texture is 512 by 512, and its saved in photoshop as a 24 bit PNG (standard PNG specs in the Photoshop Save for Web and Devices config window). Any idea why its not showing? The texture without transparency shows without a problem.   Hi. I have 2 classes Tema(Homework) and Disciplina (course), where a Course has a Set of homeworks. In Hibernate i have mapped this to a one-to-many associations like this: <class name="model.Disciplina" table="devgar_scoala.discipline" > <id name="id" > <generator class="increment"/> </id> <set name="listaTeme" table="devgar_scoala.teme"> <key column="Discipline_id" not-null="true" ></key> <one-to-many class="model.Tema" ></one-to-many> </set> </class> <class name="model.Tema" table="devgar_scoala.teme" > <id name="id"> <generator class="increment" /> </id> <property name="titlu" type="string" /> <property name="cerinta" type="binary"> <column name="cerinta" sql-type="blob" /> </property> </class> The problem is that it will add (insert rows in the table 'Teme') but it won't delete any rows and i get no exceptions thrown. Im using the merge() method.

  Hey, I'm having some trouble with stuff that work locally and dont work on the app engine python environment: Basically, i want to get a program from an epg between ranges of date and time. i know i cannot do two where < so i saw a suggestion to save the dates as list as datetime.datetime which i did. [datetime.datetime(2010, 5, 10, 14, 25), datetime.datetime(2010, 5, 10, 15, 0)] This is ok. but when i try to compare to it: progranon = get_object(Programs2Channel, 'channel_id =', channelobj.key(), 'endstartdate >', programstart_minex, 'endstartdate <', programstart_minex ) This for some reason works locally, but fails to retrieve the data on the app engine. *Im using Google app engine django patch which uses the get_object to retrieve data in transactions. Please help. • Validating collection elements in WPF

  I would like to know how people are going about validating collections in WPF. Lets say for example that I have an observable collection of ViewModels that I am binding to the items source of a grid, and the user can add new rows to the grid and needs to fill them. First of all I need to validate on each row to ensure that required fields of each ViewModel are filled in. This is fine and simple to do for each row. However, the second level of validation is on the collection as a whole. For example i want to ensure that no two rows of the collection have the same identifier, or that no two rows have the same name. Im basically checking for duplicate properties within different rows. I also have more complex conditions where I must ensure that there is at least one item within the collection that has some property set. How do I get a validation rule that would allow me to check these rules, validating on the whole collection rather than the individual items. I also want to print any validation error above the datagrid so that the user can fix the problem and the message will update or disappear as the user fixes each different rule. Anyone have any experience of the proper way to do this? Thanks Chris

  This is all done in MATLAB 2010 My objective is to show the results of: undersampling, nyquist rate/ oversampling First i need to downsample the .wav file to get an incomplete/ or impartial data stream that i can then reconstuct. Heres the flow chart of what im going to be doing So the flow is analog signal - sampling analog filter - ADC - resample down - resample up - DAC - reconstruction analog filter what needs to be achieved: F= Frequency F(Hz=1/s) E.x. 100Hz = 1000 (Cyc/sec) F(s)= 1/(2f) Example problem: 1000 hz = Highest frequency 1/2(1000hz) = 1/2000 = 5x10(-3) sec/cyc or a sampling rate of 5ms This is my first signal processing project using matlab. what i have so far. % Fs = frequency sampled (44100hz or the sampling frequency of a cd) [test,fs]=wavread('test.wav'); % loads the .wav file left=test(:,1); % Plot of the .wav signal time vs. strength time=(1/44100)*length(left); t=linspace(0,time,length(left)); plot(t,left) xlabel('time (sec)'); ylabel('relative signal strength') **%this is were i would need to sample it at the different frequecys (both above and below and at) nyquist frequency.*I think.*** soundsc(left,fs) % shows the resaultant audio file , which is the same as original ( only at or above nyquist frequency however) Can anyone tell me how to make it better, and how to do the sampling at verious frequencies?

• Why i cant save a long text on my MySQL database?

  im trying to save to my data base a long text (about 2500 chars) input by my users using a web form and passed to the server using php. When i look in phpmyadmin, the text gets crop. How can i config my table in order to get the complete text? This is my table config: CREATE TABLE `extra_879` ( `id` bigint(20) NOT NULL auto_increment, `id_user` bigint(20) NOT NULL, `title` varchar(300) NOT NULL, `content` varchar(3000) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`id`), UNIQUE KEY `id_user` (`id_user`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 AUTO_INCREMENT=4 ; Take a look of the field content that have a limit of 3000 chars, but the texts always gets crop at 690 chars. Thanks for any help! EDIT: I found the problem but i dont know how to solve it. • MATLAB: impoint getPosition strange behaviour

  I have a question about the values returned by getPosition. Below is my code. It lets the user set 10 points on a given image: figure ,imshow(im); colorArray=['y','m','c','r','g','b','w','k','y','m','c']; pointArray = cell(1,10); % Construct boundary constraint function fcn = makeConstrainToRectFcn('impoint',get(gca,'XLim'),get(gca,'YLim')); for i = 1:10 p = impoint(gca); % Enforce boundary constraint function using setPositionConstraintFcn setPositionConstraintFcn(p,fcn); setColor(p,colorArray(1,i)); pointArray{i}=p; getPosition(p) end When I start to set points on the image I get results like [675.000 538.000], which means that the x part of the coordinate is 675 and the y part is 538, right? This is what the MATLAB documentation says, but since the image is 576*120 (as displayed in the window) this is not logical. It seemed to me like, somehow, getPosition returns the y coordinate first. • EOFException in ObjectInputStream thrown accessing Servlet. Only for Webstart ?!

  Hi, My app. is started from both the commandline and by using an JNLP file. Im running java version 1.6.0_14 First i had the problem that i created the Buffered input and output streams in incorrect order. Found the solution here at StackOverflow . So starting from the commandline works fine now. But when starting the app using Webstart, it ends here java.io.EOFException at java.io.ObjectInputStream$PeekInputStream.readFully(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream$BlockDataInputStream.readShort(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readStreamHeader(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.<init>(Unknown Source) at <..>remoting.thinclient.RemoteSocketChannel.<init>(RemoteSocketChannel.java:76) I found some posts regarding similar problems; at bugs.sun.com - identifies problem as solved in 6u10(b12)? at ibm.com - identifies cookies problem The latter suggests that there is a problem in Webstart with cookies. It doesn't seem to be acknowledged as a proper java bug though.. Still i am a bit lost in the solution provided regarding the cookies. Can anyone expand on the cookie solution? Many thanks.

I always had a problem when unit testing classes that calls other classes, for example I have a class that creates a new user from a phone-number then saves it to the database and sends a SMS to the number provided.
