  • Putting WPF Controls into canvas with Visuals

    - by Mikhail
I am writing a WPF chart and use Visuals for performance. The code looks like: public class DrawingCanvas2 : Canvas { private List<Visual> _visuals = new List<Visual>(); private List<Visual> _hits = new List<Visual>(); protected override Visual GetVisualChild( int index ) { return _visuals[index]; } protected override int VisualChildrenCount { get { return _visuals.Count; } } public void AddVisual( Visual visual ) { _visuals.Add( visual ); base.AddVisualChild( visual ); base.AddLogicalChild( visual ); } } Beside DrawingVisual elements (line, text) I need a ComboBox in the chart. So I tried this: public DrawingCanvas2() { ComboBox box = new ComboBox(); AddVisual( box ); box.Width = 100; box.Height = 30; Canvas.SetLeft( box, 10 ); Canvas.SetTop( box, 10 ); } but it does not work, there is no ComboBox displayed. What I am missing?

  • Is there more than one jQuery Autocomplete widget?

    - by Cheeso
I thought there was only one - included in jQuery UI and documented here. I know there are third-party autocomplete widgets that plug-in to jQuery, like the one from devbridge. But I would describe that as an autocomplete widget for jQuery, rather than the jQuery autocomplete widget. But on Stackoverflow, I see questions asking about an autocomplete widget that does not use the syntax described in the jQuery UI documentation. For example: jquery.autocomplete.js - how does autocomplete work? Jquery AutoComplete Plugin calling Help with jquery autocomplete and json response The jQuery UI syntax looks like this: $("#input1").autocomplete({ source: function(req, responseFn) { ... }, select: function(value, data){ ... } }); Whereas some of those other questions hae a syntax like this: $("#city").autocomplete("CUList.asmx/GetCUList", { dataType: 'jsonp', parse: function(data) { var rows = new Array(); for(var i=0; i<data.length; i++){ rows[i] = { data:data[i], value:data[i].CUName, result:data[i].CUName }; } return rows; }, formatItem: function(row, i, n) { return row.CUName + ', ' + row.CUCity; }, max: 50 }); What's the explanation for the discrepancy? People ask about "jquery autocomplete" without specifying which one. With no direction, shouldn't I assume THE jquery UI autocomplete?

  • Why isn't uploadify and asp.net mvc 2 playing nice for me?

    - by Paperino
    First of all, I've checked out all the SO threads, and googled my brains out. I must be missing something obvious. I'd really appreciate some help! This is what I've got. UploadController.cs using System.Web; using System.Web.Mvc; namespace NIMDocs.Controllers { public class UploadController : Controller { public ActionResult Index() { return View(); } public string Procssed(HttpPostedFileBase FileData) { // DO STUFF return "DUHR I AM SMART"; } } } Index for Upload <%@ Page Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" > <head> <title>ITS A TITLE </title> <script src="../../Content/jqueryPlugins/uploadify/jquery-1.3.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="../../Content/jqueryPlugins/uploadify/swfobject.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="../../Content/jqueryPlugins/uploadify/jquery.uploadify.v2.1.0.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $('#uploadify').fileUpload({ 'uploader': '../../Content/jqueryPlugins/uploadify/uploadify.swf', 'script': '/Upload/Processed', 'folder': '/uploads', 'multi': 'true', 'buttonText': 'Browse', 'displayData': 'speed', 'simUploadLimit': 2, 'cancelImg': '/Content/Images/cancel.png' }); }); </script> </head> <body> <input type="file" name="uploadify" id="uploadify" /> <p><a href="javascript:jQuery('#uploadify').uploadifyClearQueue()">Cancel All Uploads</a></p> </body> </html> What am I missing here? I've tried just about every path permutation for uploadify's "uploader" option. Absolute path, '/' prefixed, etc.

  • unable to get "ItemValue" of selected item using f:selectitems tag in ace:autocompleteEntry

    - by user1641976
i want to get the Value of selectItem (ItemValue which is an Integer and the Item Label is String) in my backing bean using autocompleteentry tag of icefaces 3.1.0 but i get error: here is the code: <tr> <td>Current City</td> <td> <ace:autoCompleteEntry value="#{service.cityId}" styleClass="select-field" rows="10" width="400" filterMatchMode="" > <f:selectItems value="#{service.cities}" ></f:selectItems> </ace:autoCompleteEntry> </td> </tr> Bean is : public class Service{ private Integer cityId; public Integer getCityId() { return cityId; } public void setCityId(Integer cityId) { this.cityId= cityId; } private <SelectItem> cities; public List<SelectItem> getCities() { return cities=Dao.getCityList(); } public void setCities(List<SelectItem> cities) { this.cities= cities; } } the cities has itemvalue as a number and itemLabel as String stored in it. I do get autocomplete fine and shows list of matches if i store value in some String property of backing bean but if storing in integer property of bean, gives this error as soon i write something in autocomplete. • DynamicObject and WCF support

    - by rboarman
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting a DynamicObject to serialize and work with WCF? Here’s my little test: [DataContract] class MyDynamicObject : DynamicObject { [DataMember] private Dictionary<string, object> _attributes = new Dictionary<string, object>(); public override bool TryGetMember(GetMemberBinder binder, out object result) { string key = binder.Name; result = null; if (_attributes.ContainsKey(key)) result = _attributes[key]; return true; } public override bool TrySetMember(SetMemberBinder binder, object value) { _attributes.Add(binder.Name, value); return true; } } var dy = new MyDynamicObject(); var ser = new DataContractSerializer(typeof(MyDynamicObject)); var mem = new MemoryStream(); ser.WriteObject(mem, dy); The error I get is: System.Runtime.Serialization.InvalidDataContractException was unhandled Message=Type 'ElasticTest1.MyDynamicObject' cannot inherit from a type that is not marked with DataContractAttribute or SerializableAttribute. Consider marking the base type 'System.Dynamic.DynamicObject' with DataContractAttribute or SerializableAttribute, or removing them from the derived type. Any suggestions? Thanks, Rick

  • jQuery Ajax call - Set variable value on success.

    - by Nathan
Hey all, I have an application that I am writing that modifies data on a cached object in the server. The modifications are performed through an ajax call that basically updates properties of that object. When the user is done working, I have a basic 'Save Changes' button that allows them to Save the data and flush the cached object. In order to protect the user, I want to warn them if the try to navigate away from the page when modifications have been made to the server object if they have not saved. So, I created a web service method called IsInitialized that will return true or false based on whether or not changes have been saved. If they have not been saved, I want to prompt the user and give them a chance to cancel their navigation request. Here's my problem - although I have the calls working correctly, I can't seem to get the ajax success call to set the variable value on its callback function. Here's the code I have now. ////Catches the users to keep them from navigation off the page w/o saved changes... window.onbeforeunload = CheckSaveStatus; var IsInitialized; function CheckSaveStatus() { var temp = $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "URL.asmx/CheckIfInstanceIsInitilized", data: "{}", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(result) { IsInitialized = result.d; }, error: function(xmlHttpRequest, status, err) { alert(xmlHttpRequest.statusText + " " + xmlHttpRequest.status + " : " + xmlHttpRequest.responseText); } }); if (IsInitialized) { return "You currently have unprocessed changes for this Simulation."; } } I feel that I might be trying to use the Success callback in an inappropriate manner. How do I set a javascript variable on the Success callback so that I can decide whether or not the user should be prompted w/ the unsaved changes message? As was just pointed out, I am making an asynchronous call, which means the rest of the code gets called before my method returns. Is there a way to use that ajax call, but still catch the window.onunload event? (without making synchronos ajax)

  • jQuery WCF Service MVC2 VS2010 .NET 4.0 call with parameters fails

    - by AUSTX_RJL
In Visual Studio 2010 I created a new Ajax enabled WCF Service [ServiceContract(Namespace = "TestWCFAjax.Bridge")] [AspNetCompatibilityRequirements(RequirementsMode = AspNetCompatibilityRequirementsMode.Allowed)] public class Bridge { [OperationContract] public string DoWork() { return "jQuery WCF call without parameters from MVC2 works." ; } [OperationContract] public string DoWork1(string parm) { return parm + " jQuery WCF call with parameters from MVC2 fails"; } In the Home Controllers Index.aspx view I add the jQuery: function CallWebMethod() { $.ajax( { type: "POST", contentType: "application/json; charset-utf-8", url: "http://localhost:1452/Bridge.svc/DoWork1", dataType: "json", data: '{"parm":"test"}', error: jqueryError, success: function (msg) { alert("back"); var divForResult = document.getElementById("test"); divForResult.innerHTML = "Result: <b>" + msg.d + "</b>"; } }) } function jqueryError(request, status, error) { alert(request.responseText + " " + status + " " + error); } (using the built-in Web Server in VS 2010) When I call DoWork, it works fine. When I call DoWork1 it always returns "error undefined" and the WCF call never happens. I've tried every combination of: [WebInvoke(Method = "POST", BodyStyle = WebMessageBodyStyle.WrappedRequest, ResponseFormat = WebMessageFormat.Json, RequestFormat = WebMessageFormat.Json)] I can think of and it does not help. I must be missing something simple. There are MANY posting about how to make this work, and other than the "no parameter" version, none have worked for me. Can anyone post a sample MVC2 jQuery 1.4 .NET 4.0 WCF VS2010 working sample or spot the likely error? Thanks.

  • Asp.Net membership via ASP.NET Website Administrator Tool

    - by luppi
I created a database with aspnet_regsql, the database was created in sql sever 2008 and not in data folder in my project (do I need to move it to the folder manually?). Next, in Web Site Administration Tool I went to provider section and clicked don Test button. I got an error: Could not establish a connection to the database. If you have not yet created the SQL Server database, exit the Web Site Administration tool, use the aspnet_regsql command-line utility to create and configure the database, and then return to this tool to set the provider. Maybe I need to set something in a web.config, like membership settings or connection strings (or ASP.NET Website Administrator Tool should create those settings for me)? Update: Maybe it happens because I am using SQL server 2008 full and not express? Update 2: After setting membership section and connection string to my aspnetdb database in Web Site Administration Tool I've opened security-Security Setup Wizard-Define Roles (stage 4) I got this error: An error was encountered. Please return to the previous page and try again. The following message may help in diagnosing the problem: Unable to connect to SQL Server database. at System.Web.Administration.WebAdminPage.CallWebAdminHelperMethod(Boolean isMembership, String methodName, Object[] parameters, Type[] paramTypes) at ASP.security_wizard_wizardpermission_ascx.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

  • ASP.NET MVC search box: use modal popup or inline div or redirect to another page?

    - by JK
I have a view with a textbox and a search button, eg CustomerTextBox and CustomerSearchButton. The list of customers is too long to display in a dropdown, and there has to be advanced search functions anyway. What is the best practice in MVC to handle this case? When the user clicks on the search button, should it: A. Load another view into a modal popup (eg /customers/search)? How would you do this in MVC, just set popupWindow.location.href = '/customers/search'? How would you return the value to the main view? B. Have the search form in a hidden div that expands when the search button is clicked? How would be done? a partial view maybe? C. Redirect the user to a search page by means of RedirectTo("/customers/search")? How would you return the value to the main class? I've only been doing MVC for 3 days so thanks to those who answer my questions that might have quite obvious answers that I cant see yet. :)

  • ASP.NET MVC - Html.DropDownList - Value not set via ViewData.Model

    - by chrisb
Have just started playing with ASP.NET MVC and have stumbled over the following situation. It feels a lot like a bug but if its not, an explanation would be appreciated :) The View contains pretty basic stuff <%=Html.DropDownList("MyList", ViewData["MyListItems"] as SelectList)%> <%=Html.TextBox("MyTextBox")%> When not using a model, the value and selected item are set as expected: //works fine public ActionResult MyAction(){ ViewData["MyListItems"] = new SelectList(items, "Value", "Text"); //items is an ienumerable of {Value="XXX", Text="YYY"} ViewData["MyList"] = "XXX"; //set the selected item to be the one with value 'XXX' ViewData["MyTextBox"] = "ABC"; //sets textbox value to 'ABC' return View(); } But when trying to load via a model, the textbox has the value set as expected, but the dropdown doesnt get a selected item set. //doesnt work public ActionResult MyAction(){ ViewData["MyListItems"] = new SelectList(items, "Value", "Text"); //items is an ienumerable of {Value="XXX", Text="YYY"} var model = new { MyList = "XXX", //set the selected item to be the one with value 'XXX' MyTextBox = "ABC" //sets textbox value to 'ABC' } return View(model); } Any ideas? My current thoughts on it are that perhaps when using a model, we're restricted to setting the selected item on the SelectList constructor instead of using the viewdata (which works fine) and passing the selectlist in with the model - which would have the benefit of cleaning the code up a little - I'm just wondering why this method doesnt work.... Many thanks for any suggestions

  • Deselect dates in Web Calendar c#

    - by yomismo
    Hello, I'm trying to select and de-select dates on a C# Web Calendar control. The problem I have is that I can select or deselect dates except when there is only a single date selected. Clicking on it does not trigger the selection changed event, so Ineed to do something on the dayrender event but I'm not sure what or how. Any ideas? TIA Code so far: public static List<DateTime> list = new List<DateTime>(); protected void Calendar1_DayRender(object sender, DayRenderEventArgs e) { if (e.Day.IsSelected == true) { list.Add(e.Day.Date); } Session["SelectedDates"] = list; } protected void Calendar1_SelectionChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { DateTime selection = Calendar1.SelectedDate; if (Session["SelectedDates"] != null) { List<DateTime> newList = (List<DateTime>)Session["SelectedDates"]; foreach (DateTime dt in newList) { Calendar1.SelectedDates.Add(dt); } if (searchdate(selection, newList)) { Calendar1.SelectedDates.Remove(selection); } list.Clear(); } } public bool searchdate(DateTime date, List<DateTime> dates) { var query = from o in dates where o.Date == date select o; if (query.ToList().Count == 0) { return false; } else { return true; } }

  • How to achieve "Blendability" when using DataServiceCollection in my ViewModel

    - by andlju
I'm looking at using oData endpoints in my Silverlight client. Naturally, I'm doing MVVM and I want the project to be nice and "Blendable" (i.e. I must be able to cleanly use static data instead of the oData endpoints when in design mode.) Now to the problem. I'd like to use the DataServiceCollection in my ViewModels, since it allows for nice bindable collections without having to worry too much with BeginExecute/EndExecute etc. Now, let's look at some code. My Model interface looks like this: public interface ITasksModel { IQueryable<Task> Tasks { get; } } The oData endpoint implementation of that interface: public class TasksModel : ITasksModel { Uri svcUri = new Uri("http://localhost:2404/Services/TasksDataService.svc"); TaskModelContainer _container; public TasksModel() { _container = new TaskModelContainer(svcUri); } public IQueryable<Task> Tasks { get { return _container.TaskSet; } } } And the "Blendable" design-time implementation: public class DesignModeTasksModel : ITasksModel { private List<Task> _taskCollection = new List<Task>(); public DesignModeTasksModel() { _taskCollection.Add(new Task() { Id = 1, Title = "Task 1" }); _taskCollection.Add(new Task() { Id = 2, Title = "Task 2" }); _taskCollection.Add(new Task() { Id = 3, Title = "Task 3" }); } public IQueryable<Task> Tasks { get { return _taskCollection.AsQueryable(); } } } However, when I try to use this last one in my ViewModel constructor: public TaskListViewModel(ITasksModel tasksModel) { _tasksModel = tasksModel; _tasks = new DataServiceCollection<Task>(); _tasks.LoadAsync(_tasksModel.Tasks); } I get an exception: Only a typed DataServiceQuery object can be supplied when calling the LoadAsync method on DataServiceCollection. First of all, if this is the case, why not make the input parameter of LoadAsync be typed as DataServiceQuery? Second, what is the "proper" way of doing what I'm trying to accomplish?

  • Core Data: Keypath "objectID" not found in entity

    - by Martin Gordon
I'm using NSFetchedResultsController with a predicate to load a list of Documents in my application. I want to load all the Documents except the currently active one. I am using Rentzsch's MOGenerator to create a _Document class and then I put all my custom code in the Document subclass. _Document generates an objectID property with type DocumentID. In the class that creates the controller, I set the controller's currentDocID property: controller.currentDocID = self.document.objectID; In the controller itself, I lazy load the fetchedResultsController like this: - (NSFetchedResultsController *)fetchedResultsController { if (fetchedResultsController != nil) { return fetchedResultsController; } NSFetchRequest *fetchRequest = [[NSFetchRequest alloc] init]; NSEntityDescription *entity = [NSEntityDescription entityForName:@"Document" inManagedObjectContext:managedObjectContext]; [fetchRequest setEntity:entity]; NSPredicate *predicate = [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"(objectID != %@)", self.currentDocID]; [fetchRequest setPredicate:predicate]; NSSortDescriptor *sortDescriptor = [[NSSortDescriptor alloc] initWithKey:@"dateModified" ascending:NO]; NSArray *sortDescriptors = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:sortDescriptor, nil]; [fetchRequest setSortDescriptors:sortDescriptors]; NSFetchedResultsController *aFetchedResultsController = [[NSFetchedResultsController alloc] initWithFetchRequest:fetchRequest managedObjectContext:managedObjectContext sectionNameKeyPath:nil cacheName:@"Root"]; aFetchedResultsController.delegate = self; self.fetchedResultsController = aFetchedResultsController; [aFetchedResultsController release]; [sortDescriptor release]; [sortDescriptors release]; return fetchedResultsController; } When the fetchedResultsController loads, my app crashes with an unhandled exception: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: 'keypath objectID not found in entity <NSSQLEntity Document id=1>' It's my understanding that all NSManagedObjects have an objectID, whether temporary or permanent. Is this not the case? Any thoughts?

  • Wpf binding to a function

    - by carlopenid
I've a created a simple scrollviewer (pnlDayScroller) and want to have a separate horizontal scrollbar (associated scroller) to do the horizontal scrolling. All works with the below code accept I need to bind the visibility of the associated scroller. I can't simply bind this to the visibility property of the horizontal template part of the scroll viewer as I've set this to be always hidden. The only way I can think to do this is to bind the visibility of the associated scroller to a function such that If associatedScroller.scrollableWidth > 0 then associatedScroller.visibility = visibility.visible else associatedScroller.visibility = visibility.collapsed end if Is this possible to do and if so how do I do it? Private Sub pnlDayScroller_Loaded(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.RoutedEventArgs) Handles pnlDayScroller.Loaded Dim binViewport, binMax, binMin, binSChange, binLChange As Binding Dim horizontalScrollBar As Primitives.ScrollBar = CType(pnlDayScroller.Template.FindName("PART_HorizontalScrollBar", pnlDayScroller), Primitives.ScrollBar) binViewport = New Binding("ViewportSize") binViewport.Mode = BindingMode.OneWay binViewport.Source = horizontalScrollBar associatedScroller.SetBinding(Primitives.ScrollBar.ViewportSizeProperty, binViewport) binMax = New Binding("Maximum") binMax.Mode = BindingMode.OneWay binMax.Source = horizontalScrollBar associatedScroller.SetBinding(Primitives.ScrollBar.MaximumProperty, binMax) binMin = New Binding("Minimum") binMin.Mode = BindingMode.OneWay binMin.Source = horizontalScrollBar associatedScroller.SetBinding(Primitives.ScrollBar.MinimumProperty, binMin) binSChange = New Binding("SmallChange") binSChange.Mode = BindingMode.OneWay binSChange.Source = horizontalScrollBar associatedScroller.SetBinding(Primitives.ScrollBar.SmallChangeProperty, binSChange) binLChange = New Binding("LargeChange") binLChange.Mode = BindingMode.OneWay binLChange.Source = horizontalScrollBar associatedScroller.SetBinding(Primitives.ScrollBar.LargeChangeProperty, binLChange) End Sub Private Sub associatedScroller_Scroll(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.RoutedPropertyChangedEventArgs(Of Double)) Handles associatedScroller.ValueChanged pnlDayScroller.ScrollToHorizontalOffset(e.NewValue) end sub FOLLOW UP (thanks to JustABill) : I've add this code into the pnlDayScroller sub above (I've discovered scrollableWidth is a property of scrollviewer not scrollbar, but the maximum property gives a result I can use instead) binVisibility = New Binding("Maximum") binVisibility.Mode = BindingMode.OneWay binVisibility.Source = horizontalScrollBar binVisibility.Converter = New ScrollableConverter associatedScroller.SetBinding(Primitives.ScrollBar.VisibilityProperty, binVisibility) and I've created this class Public Class ScrollableConverter Implements IValueConverter Public Function Convert(ByVal value As Object, ByVal targetType As Type, ByVal parameter As Object, ByVal culture As System.Globalization.CultureInfo) As Object Implements IValueConverter.Convert Dim dblMaximum As Double If targetType IsNot GetType(Visibility) Then Throw New InvalidOperationException("The target must be a visibility") Else dblMaximum = CType(value, Double) Debug.WriteLine("Value of double is " & dblMaximum) If dblMaximum > 0 Then Return Visibility.Visible Else Return Visibility.Collapsed End If End If End Function Public Function ConvertBack(ByVal value As Object, ByVal targetType As Type, ByVal parameter As Object, ByVal culture As System.Globalization.CultureInfo) As Object Implements IValueConverter.ConvertBack Throw New NotSupportedException() End Function End Class And the problem is resolved.

  • How to use Parcel in Android?

UPDATE: To simplify the test I've removed the reading and writing of files in my original example.

Any help with this is much appreciated. var viewer = null; function init() { Seadragon.Config.autoHideControls = false; viewer = new Seadragon.Viewer("container"); viewer.addEventListener("open", addOverlays); viewer.addControl(makeControl(), Seadragon.ControlAnchor.TOP_RIGHT); $(viewer.getNavControl()).parent().parent().css({ 'top': 10, 'right': 10 }); viewer.openDzi("_assets/Mapdata/dzc_output.xml"); } function makeControl() { var control = document.createElement("a"); var controlText = document.createTextNode(""); control.href = "#"; // so browser shows it as link control.className = "control"; control.appendChild(controlText); Seadragon.Utils.addEvent(control, "click", onControlClick); return control; } function onControlClick(event) { Seadragon.Utils.cancelEvent(event); // don't process link if (!viewer.isOpen()) { return; } // These are the coordinates of europe on this map var x = 0.5398693914203284; var y = 0.21155952391206562; var z = 5; viewer.viewport.panTo(new Seadragon.Point(x, y)); viewer.viewport.zoomTo(z); viewer.viewport.ensureVisible(); } function addOverlays(viewer) { drawer = viewer.drawer; var img = document.createElement("img"); img.src = "_assets/Images/pushpin.png"; $(img).addClass('pushPin'); var overlays = [ { elmt: img, point: new Seadragon.Point(0.51, 0.22) }, { elmt: img, point: new Seadragon.Point(0.20, 0.13) } ]; for (var i = 0; i < overlays.length; i++) { drawer.addOverlay(overlays[i].elmt, overlays[i].point); } } Seadragon.Utils.addEvent(window, "load", init);

  • OO Design - polymorphism - how to design for handing streams of different file types

    - by Kache4
I've little experience with advanced OO practices, and I want to design this properly as an exercise. I'm thinking of implementing the following, and I'm asking if I'm going about this the right way. I have a class PImage that holds the raw data and some information I need for an image file. Its header is currently something like this: #include <boost/filesytem.hpp> #include <vector> namespace fs = boost::filesystem; class PImage { public: PImage(const fs::path& path, const unsigned char* buffer, int bufferLen); const vector<char> data() const { return data_; } const char* rawData() const { return &data_[0]; } /*** other assorted accessors ***/ private: fs::path path_; int width_; int height_; int filesize_; vector<char> data_; } I want to fill the width_ and height_ by looking through the file's header. The trivial/inelegant solution would be to have a lot of messy control flow that identifies the type of image file (.gif, .jpg, .png, etc) and then parse the header accordingly. Instead of using vector<char> data_, I was thinking of having PImage use a class, RawImageStream data_ that inherits from vector<char>. Each type of file I plan to support would then inherit from RawImageStream, e.g. RawGifStream, RawPngStream. Each RawXYZStream would encapsulate the respective header-parsing functions, and PImage would only have to do something like height_ = data_.getHeight();. Am I thinking this through correctly? How would I create the proper RawImageStream subclass for data_ to be in the PImage ctor? Is this where I could use an object factory? Anything I'm forgetting?

  • Spring MVC jQuery remote validation

    - by raulsan
Hi, I am using Spring MVC on the server side, but in one of the pages I decided to create an AJAX validation with jQuery rather than the default Spring validation. Everything works great, except when I have to do a remote validation to check if a "title" already exists. For the javascript I have the following: var validator = $("form").validate({ rules: { title: { minlength: 6, required: true, remote: { url: location.href.substring(0,location.href.lastIndexOf('/'))+"/checkLocalArticleTitle.do", type: "GET" } }, html: { minlength: 50, required: true } }, messages: { title: { required: "A title is required.", remote: "This title already exists." } } }); Then, I use Spring-Json to make this validation and give a response: @RequestMapping("/checkLocalArticleTitle.do") public ModelAndView checkLocalArticleTitle(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException { Map model = new HashMap(); String result = "FALSE"; try{ String title = request.getParameter("title"); if(!EJBRequester.articleExists(title)){ result = "TRUE"; } }catch(Exception e){ System.err.println("Exception: " + e.getMessage()); } model.put("result",result); return new ModelAndView("jsonView", model); } However, this does not work and the field "title" is never validated. I think the reason for this is that I am returning an answer in the manner: {result:"TRUE"} when in fact, the answer should be: {"TRUE"} I don't know how to return a single response like this one using a ModelAndView answer. Another thing that is not working is the customized message for the "remote" validation: messages: { title: { required: "A title is required.", remote: "This title already exists." } }, The required message works, but not the remote message. I looked around, but I didn't see many people using Spring and jQuery at the same time. I would appreciate some help here.

  • ASP.NET MVC 2 - Html.DropDownList not working in an AJAX form

    - by Jacob
I am trying to create an MVC 2 solution and I have run into the following problem: Index.aspx: <% using(Ajax.BeginForm("Forms", new AjaxOptions{UpdateTargetId="form", HttpMethod="POST"})) { %> <h3>Input: </h3> <p><%= Html.DropDownList("dropDown")%> <input type="submit" value="Select Mission" /></p> <% } %> HomeController.cs: public ActionResult Index() { var list = new [] { "item1", "item2", "item3" }; ViewData["dropDown"] = new SelectList(list); return View(); } public ActionResult Forms(string dropDown) { if (dropDown == null || dropDown == "") ViewData["txt"] = "Ahhh..."; else ViewData["txt"] = "You entered: " + dropDown; return PartialView("Form", dropDown); } Form.ascx: <%: ViewData["txt"] % This does not work. However, the whole thing does work if I use an Html.TextBox instead. For example: <div id="form"> <% using(Ajax.BeginForm("Forms", new AjaxOptions{UpdateTargetId="form", HttpMethod="POST"})) { %> <h3>Input: </h3> <%= Html.TextBox("textBox") %> <input type="submit" value="Select Mission" /></p> <% } %> </div> (and refactor the method in the controller so that it's argument is textBox instead of dropDown). My question is why does the AJAX form work for an Html.TextBox, but not for an Html.DropDownList, or what am I doing wrong? My only idea is that maybe the argument in the controller is not supposed to be of type string when using a DropDownList, but this is really just a guess. Thanks in advance.

  • How to show an image on jasper report?

    - by spderosso
Hi, I want to show an image on a jasper report. I have the following on the .jrxml: <image> <reportElement x="181" y="0" width="209" height="74"/> <imageExpression class="java.lang.String"><![CDATA["logo.jpg"]]></imageExpression> </image> The image logo.jpg is in the same directory as the .jrxml. By just putting that it didn't work for me. I googled a bit and found out that jasper report considers what i put on the .jrxml as a relative path to the JVM directory and that to change this I need to pass as a "REPORT_FILE_RESOLVER" parameter a FileResolver that returns the file. So, I did the following in my .java (is located in same place as the .jrxml and the image) FileResolver fileResolver = new FileResolver() { @Override public File resolveFile(String fileName) { return new File(fileName); } }; HashMap<String, Object> parameters = new HashMap<String, Object>(); parameters.put("REPORT_FILE_RESOLVER", fileResolver); ... Which should return the expected file, but I still get a net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRException: Error loading byte data : logo.jpg at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.util.JRLoader.loadBytes(JRLoader.java:301) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.util.JRLoader.loadBytesFromLocation(JRLoader.java:479) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRImageRenderer.getInstance(JRImageRenderer.java:180) ... What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

  • Actionscript 3: Force program to wait until event handler is called

    - by Jeremy Swinarton
I have an AS 3.0 class that loads a JSON file in using a URLRequest. package { import flash.display.MovieClip; import flash.display.Loader; import flash.net.URLRequest; import flash.net.URLLoader; import flash.events.Event; public class Tiles extends MovieClip { private var mapWidth:int, mapHeight:int; private var mapFile:String; private var mapLoaded:Boolean=false; public function Tiles(m:String) { init(m); } private function init(m:String):void { // Initiates the map arrays for later use. mapFile=m; // Load the map file in. var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(); loader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, mapHandler); loader.load(new URLRequest("maps/" + mapFile)); } private function mapHandler(e:Event):void { mapLoaded=true; mapWidth=3000; } public function getMapWidth():int { if (mapLoaded) { return (mapWidth); } else { getMapWidth(); return(-1); } } } } When the file is finished loading, the mapHandler event makes changes to the class properties, which in turn are accessed using the getMapWidth function. However, if the getMapwidth function gets called before it finishes loading, the program will fail. How can I make the class wait to accept function calls until after the file is loaded?

  • ASP.NET MVC2 Routing Issue With StructureMap

    - by alphadogg
So, in global.asax, I have: public static void RegisterRoutes(RouteCollection routes) { routes.IgnoreRoute("{resource}.axd/{*pathInfo}"); routes.IgnoreRoute(" { *favicon }", new { favicon = @"(.*/)?favicon.ico(/.*)?" }); routes.IgnoreRoute("{*robotstxt}", new { robotstxt = @"(.*/)?robots.txt(/.*)?" }); routes.MapRoute( "Default", // Route name "{controller}/{action}/{id}", // URL with parameters new { controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional } // Parameter defaults ); } protected void Application_Start() { var container = new Container(); ServiceLocator.SetLocatorProvider(() => new StructureMapServiceLocator(container)); ComponentRegistrar.Register(container); Debug.WriteLine(container.WhatDoIHave()); // original MVC2 code at project startup AreaRegistration.RegisterAllAreas(); RegisterRoutes(RouteTable.Routes); } and in my StructureMapControllerFactory, I have: protected override IController GetControllerInstance(RequestContext requestContext, Type controllerType) { if (requestContext == null) { throw new ArgumentNullException("requestContext"); } if (controllerType == null) { //return base.GetControllerInstance(requestContext, controllerType); controllerType = GetControllerType(requestContext, "Home"); requestContext.RouteData.Values["Controller"] = "Home"; requestContext.RouteData.Values["action"] = "Index"; } try { return theContainer.GetInstance(controllerType) as Controller; } catch (StructureMapException) { System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine(theContainer.WhatDoIHave()); throw; } } Now, normally, in most examples you find on the net, when controllerType is null, you have the commented out line (base.GetControllerInstance()) that handles it. However, if I use that, I get an error about not finding the controller for default.aspx when the controllerType is null at startup of the web app. If I force the use of the Home controller, I get the site to appear. What am I doing wrong? Is it a problem in routing?

  • Why jquery have problem with onbeforeprint even?

    - by Cesar Lopez
Hi all, I have the following function. $(function() { $(".sectionHeader:gt(0)").click(function() { $(this).next(".fieldset").slideToggle("fast"); }); $("img[alt='minimize']").click(function(e) { $(this).closest("table").next(".fieldset").slideUp("fast"); e.stopPropagation(); return false; }); $("img[alt='maximize']").click(function(e) { $(this).closest("table").next(".fieldset").slideDown("fast"); e.stopPropagation(); return false; }); }); <script type="text/javascript"> window.onbeforeprint = expandAll; function expandAll(){ $(".fieldset:gt(0)").slideDown("fast"); } </script> For this html <table class="sectionHeader" ><tr ><td>Heading 1</td></tr></table> <div style="display:none;" class="fieldset">Content 1</div> <table class="sectionHeader" ><tr ><td>Heading 2</td></tr></table> <div style="display:none;" class="fieldset">Content 2</div> I have several div class="fieldset" over the page, but when I do print preview or print, I can see all divs sliding down before opening the print preview or printing but on the actual print preview or print out they are all collapse. I would appreciate if anyone comes with a solution for this. Anyone have any idea why is this or how to fix it? Thanks. PS:Using a does not work either ( I assume because jquery using toggle) and its not the kind of question I am looking for.
