  • Visual Studio Colour Settings

    I've got a custom colour set in Visual Studio and one of the colours when debugging is making things a bit of a misery. Unfortunately I can't figure out which one it is, and when going through and changing all the light background ones, it still remains. Can anyone point me in the right direction? In this screenshot the current line is yellow, and the caller is the white/cream sort of colour which is the one I want to change... Thanks very much! :)

    I'm moving my application from 3.x to 4.x as I prepare for the app store and found that I need to have 2 copies of all my custom pngs - my question is how can I determine what img to show and when. Example - how do I know to show the Find.png vs the [email protected] Is it "safe" or "correct" to look for 4.x specific apis or does the iphone have a way to determine what platform you are on at runtime? The above code is working fine, but the restarting process is very late bcas its stopping-starting server one and later its stopping-starting another server, Is there a way where i can restart both servers parallely with a time frame of 45 seconds.

  • Open source equivelants to VS / web reference proxy classes?

    As an ASP.NET developer, I'm used to working with how VS/C# transparently autogens proxy classes for web references (yes, I know, we're spoiled), but now that I'm creating documentation for more than one coding platform I'm trying to discover what the equivelant to that is in any other framework. So is there a similar way to work transparently with web reference proxy classes for say, RoR, PHP, and Python? And if there's nothing integrated, are there tools you recommend to autogen the proxy classes, or do you recommend to roll custom classes?

    Is there a way to only show the items that are older than a certain date in a php mysql array? I'm using this query method and sorting by lastpost_cl: $query="SELECT * FROM properties ORDER BY lastpost_cl"; $result=mysql_query($query); $num = mysql_num_rows ($result); mysql_close(); and I was thinking the way of checking the time would be: if (time() <= strtotime($lastpost_cl)) { } How can I combine the two and only show lastpost_cl that are older that the current time?

The first thing I seem do is test my constructor has set all the properties but is this overkill? My question is to what level of granularity do you write you unit tests at? ..and is there a case of testing too much?

The thing is that these settings do not take effect immediately. I have to wait about 10 minutes before they become active. So my question is: how to make the new hosts file active instantly?     It is actually useful for me to store some files in EXE to copy to selected location. I'm generating HTML and JS files and need to copy some CSS, JS and GIFs. Snippet System.IO.File.WriteAllBytes(@"C:\MyFile.bin", ProjectNamespace.Properties.Resources.MyFile); doesn't work for me! On "WriteAllBytes" it says: "cannot convert from 'System.Drawing.Bitmap' to 'byte[]'" for image and "cannot convert from 'string' to 'byte[]'" for text file. Help!

  • Suppress errors of files that are not set to be built from the "Error List" window

    I have some cs files in my project that are not set to be built (Properties - Build Action = None). They contain bits of code that don't compile as a whole and are there merely for reference. I don't care about any compilation errors in them, but they appear in the "Error List" window, cluttering it. Is there some way to tell VS to ignore errors in that file? In properties I am trying to set 'Default Value or Binding' to a simple XML along the lines of: <root><title>Welcome</title><body>Thank you for your time.</body></root> However, when I click away, I get "sql error validating the default for column," I set this value in other numerical columns and it worked fine.   • Default App Icon not appearing in iOS Simulator

    I have searched quite a lot for an answer to this problem. If I have a general application, HelloWorld, and create an interface and then go to test it, then click on the Home button, not even the default grey/white icon is there like it's supposed to be. Anyone have any ideas why? I've even tried specifying a custom icon in the Info.plist file, but still nothing... I've got the latest version of Xcode and the SDK as well. (3.25 - 4.2)
