  • How to apply css locally on any online page?

    For testing I don't want to upload css to FTP on each change till site complete , but site and content is online. (i'm not talking about saving page locally then apply css) Can i just apply css locally to any online page. it would be easier to edit and see changes locally till css work end. and i want to see applied effect on FF and IE.     I'm looking for a way to set a selection in a textarea in Internet Explorer. In other browsers, this works just fine: textarea.selectionStart = start; textarea.selectionEnd = end; In IE, I assume I have to use createRange and adjust the selection somehow, but I cannot figure out how. Extra bonus points for a link to a proper documentation about createRange and associated methods, MSDN isn't helping out much.

    A DNN site version 05.02.00(275) When editing a HTML module the following happens: If I make the changes and save before the cookie "portalaliasid" expires (within 1 minute) all is well. BUT if I stay in the editor for a longer time, say 2 minutes, and posting I end up at the editor again with the old content. All my previous work is lost. Now I'm lost - is this a bug, a bad setting or what? /Staffan

  • Error message when running a Sinatra application on Windows Vista.

    I was following a video tutorial by Adam Keys about how to make a URL shortener app in Sinatra. The code that is giving me problems is located here http://pastie.org/958644 So when I ran it I got this error: shortener.rb:12: syntax error, unexpected $undefined, expecting $end @@ home I typed it exactly as Adam said but this keeps happening. What could the issue be? By the way, I am running ruby 1.9.1p243 (2009-07-16 revision 24175) [i386-mingw32] on Windows Vista. Thanks, Adam

    Hey guys, I'm having trouble building an Elf file within Eclipse. It seems that everytime I build, a PE / portable executable for windows is created. I've gone into the Binary Parser section and checked Elf Parser while making sure that everything else is unchecked. However, I continue to end up with a PE which I cannot run on Linux. Any ideas?     Currently in my tests I do something like this to test if an email is queued to be sent assert_difference('ActionMailer::Base.deliveries.size', 1) do get :create_from_spreedly, {:user_id => @logged_in_user.id} end but if i a controller action can send two different emails i.e. one to the user if sign up goes fine or a notification to admin if something went wrong - how can i test which one actually got sent. The code above would pass regardless.

  • How to increment counters based on a printed array

    I managed to developed a simple board of 5x5 using random numbers and array. Big achievement for someone like me! :) Now I have to increment the counters depending on the frequency of the numbers. If the value within 0-49 is printed..then nCounter++ If the value within 50-75 is printed..then pCounter++ something like that. The problem is that I don't know how to increase the counters based on the printed board.     arr = ["red","green","yellow"] arr2 = arr.clone arr2[0].replace("blue") puts arr.inspect puts arr2.inspect produces: ["blue", "green", "yellow"] ["blue", "green", "yellow"] Is there anyway to do a deep copy of an array of strings, other than using Marshal as i understand that is a hack. I could do: arr2 = [] arr.each do |e| arr2 << e.clone end but it doesn't seem very elegant, or efficient. Thanks
