    Hello, I would like to use the ISAPI_REWRITE module to rewrite a url: www.site.com/app/ to www.site.com So that the user doesn't see the folder where the application is... the reason why isn't important, but essentially I need to mask this folder due to an IIS structure change. Any help would be appreciated. I need to remap any requested file in the app directory and any related subdirectory to the main URL. Thanks.

  • Finder Using Nearly 100% CPU

    I'm having a problem where the Finder uses WAY too much CPU time. It's using up to 100% of one of my cores. I'm running 10.6.2 on a MacBook Pro w/ 6GB of RAM, plenty of fast (SSD) disk space. I also run DropBox and BackBlaze. I've tried disabling my third party stuff (DropBox and BackBlaze), but that doesn't seem to help. It's killing my battery life!

    I am using: - Linux Mint 11 - Geforce 560ti - nVidia driver (installed via helper programm, not from nvidia page) The third party nvidia drivers radomly cause very poor 2D performance. Radomly because the performance can be very great, but after the next reboot or login become very poor. After another reboot or login, this might change again to better or worse. I am not able to find any command for passive scan in wpa_cli . With iw , for passive scan we can use : iw dev wlan0 scan passive Similar I want to do passive scan using wpa_supplicant . So need help to know how to do passive scan using wpa_supplicant?

    I'm finding that on occasion my Linux box runs out of memory and it starts tearing down random processes to deal with it. I'm curious what administrators do to avoid this? Is the only real solution to up the amount of memory (will upping the swap alone help?), or is there better ways to set up the box with software to avoid this? (i.e., quotas, or some such?). I created a couple users, and it will not run as any of the users. create session failed: : No such file or directory I checked the outside $TERM is xterm and inside $TERM is screen as FAQs suggest that is most common cause of problems.     My first question so please be gentle :) I have a client who is insisting that they have to let their third party vendor support access to there server directly from the internet via RDP. Our policy does not allow direct access to the infrastructure from outside of the data centre for administration except from an approved VPN connection and then virtual desktop there on to the servers.     Hi , I have a 32bit machine installed with 64 bit suse10 linux. I then tried installing a 64bit sybase on it but the sybase installation fails the moment i launch ./setup with below error: Unhandled error...try running with is:debug system property. the install shield wizard fails to launch.. I tried replacing the JVM folder in sybase installation dump but it doesn't help. how do i use this is:debug property? has any one encountered such an error?

    I see a warning in my Win7 Events Log: The time service has not synchronized the system time for 86400 seconds because none of the time service providers provided a usable time stamp. The message suggests that I run: w32tm /resync When I try to run that command, I get an error: The following error occurred: The specified module could not be found. <0x8007007E I can run w32tm with no arguments and get the expected list of w32tm commands, so the program is accessable and runs. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Problems updating to Windows 8.1

    yesterday I attempted to upgrade to windows 8.1 from windows 8. My brother downloaded it on his computer the day before then. I got it from the Windows store. It downloaded and prompted me to restart so I did. It just had the windows 8 loading screen with the HP sign above it, no percentages or anything else, I waited for about 2 hours and while I was waiting I did some research. After reading I saw it could take 20 minutes to an hour to update, but it had already been 2 hours. I read another article and it said someone restarted their computer and it restored to windows 8.0. That's what I did and it worked. So I tried again and the same thing happens, so instead of waiting I decided I would just restart it again. I tried again and this time it showed a percentage it said,"Setting Up" After it reached 100% it went back to what happened before HP sign and just loaded again, I thought it would be different this time because it did show percentages. I waited an hour and nothing happened so I restarted the computer again. This time when I restarted it, it didn't restore, so I turned the laptop of for around 30 minutes turned it back on and it said,"Attempting to restore to previous version of Windows" It said that for around 10 minutes and it restored, so I shut downed my computer for an hour and did some more research, later I found that I needed to update my drivers my drivers we're updated so I did some more research after this I saw I needed to search for updates via: SettingsChange PC settingsWindows Update. It said I already had automatic updates on, I decided to check for updates and it said there was one update scheduled for Saturday. I didn't think this could change anything so I updated what I could. I tried to install it again it was around 11:30 last night when it was done downloading and it prompted me to restart but I had gone to sleep. I woke up today and saw it showed the HP sign and loaded again. I tried restarting it again but this didn't work I had to shut it of for 30 minutes and try again and it worked. So now I'm posting this seeing If I can get any help with this problem. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
