  • The best way to rename a project in Visual Studio 2008

    I always find my self in trouble with alot of (namespace or refference errors?), when trying to rename a project in VS. This is how I do: I click on the project and press F2 and rename it. That procedure do you guys follow? I use to work in Eclipse, and there I don't have the problems, maybes it's easy in VS too and it's just me. Thx, radbyx

I really am liking Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect but am also curious about what is available in VS 2010.     Hello. I want to send a double click to a listview. From what I've read on msdn it seems I gotta send a WM_NOTIFY message and something with NM_DBLCLK. But I do not understand really well hwo to implement it.   • .net - failed to create app domain

    Hi just looking for abit of guidance here if possible. I recently downloaded a .net component for VS 2008 to handle sftp. After struggling with it for a day i uninstalled and deleted it. When going back into VS 2008, any of my previous projects have this error at the bottom in the error window: failed to create app domain. I was going to do a re-install, but is there anything I can try before I resort to this? thanks again DD

    I am curious to know if there is a way to edit code in VS 2008 right when it has hit a breakpoint and I am walking thru the code... can I modify the code (such as the value in a variable or if my stepthrough line is about to hit an if statement ... can I modify the if statement....etc)? So far, I have to stop running VS, modify the code, then hit F5 and wait till the breakpoint is hit again.

    I'm trying to create a subset of a table (as a materialized view), defined as those records which have a matching record in another materialized view. For example, let's say I have a Users table with user_id and name columns, and a Log table, with entry_id, user_id, activity, and timestamp columns. First I create a materialized view of the Log table, selecting only those rows with timestamp some_date. Now I want a materliazed view of the Users referenced in my snapshot of the Log table. I can either create it as select * from Users where user_id in (select user_id from Log_mview), or I can do select distinct u.* from Users u inner join Log_mview l on u.user_id = l.user_id (need the distinct to avoid multiple hits from users with multiple log entries). The former seems cleaner and more elegant, but takes much longer. Am I missing something? Is there a better way to do this?

  • rsync on QNAP NAS fails recently

    I have been using rsync to copy a large backup file from a remote host to my QNAP NAS. It's been working fine until recently. It seems like almost every time when it executes it's giving a time out after 15s. Following is what I have captured in the log.   • Squid, NTLM, Windows 7 and IE8

    I'm running Squid 2.7-stable4, Samba 3 and the Windows 7 RC with IE8. I have NTLM authentication setup on my squid proxy server and it works fine for every combination of browser and Windows (including IE8 on XP and Firefox on Win7), but it doesn't work (keeps asking for authentication) for IE8 on Windows 7. I can get it to work using the LmCompatibilityLevel registry hack, but I'd really prefer to get it working on the server. Does anyone have any experience with this? Or know where to start looking? The samba logs don't reveal much.   • WDS "No response" only when notify and wait for approval

    I have a WDS server setup for use with MDT2010, and everything was working fine until this morning. Now, whenever I try to boot from LAN, I get an error: Downloaded WDSNBP... Architecture: x64 WDSNBP started using DHCP Referral. Contacting Server: 10.50.10.12 (Gateway: 0.0.0.0) No response from Windows Deployment Services server. Launching pxeboot.com My PXE Response Policy setting on the WDS is set to this: [ ] Do not respond to any client computer [ ] Respond only to known client computers [o] Respond to all (known and unknown) client computers [X] For unknown clients, notify administrator and respond after approval The odd thing is that if I clear the approval option (so any computer gets a response) it works fine. I have delegated permissions on the AD OU to the computer object WDS is running on, but that doesn't seem to have helped. As it works without approval, I can only assume my DHCP options are fine and this is some sort of AD permission problem. (Server is Windows Server 2008 SP2)

    i have an Ubuntu 11.10 (oneiric) server running on a ReadyNAS. Im planning to use this to accept ipsec+l2tp connections through a router.     How do I easily bring to the front of the screen the top windows of two different application in Mac OS X? I prefer to use the keyboard only. Example Scenario: Say there are 10 Firefox and 10 TextEdit windows open. Also, say that these windows are having various different sizes so that the windows of each application fully cover the desktop. Goal: I want to bring to the front of my screen the top window of Firefox along with the top window of TextEdit, so that I can visually compare some data. Restrictions: I cannot use expose (since having 20 windows on the screen already renders expose useless) And I do not want to use multiple desktop (too complex and time consuming) I prefer to use a keyboard shortcut. Unfortunately cmd+tab brings all windows of each application to the top, covering all windows of the other applications.

    I have a Ubuntu server running in an ESV VM emvironment and I've installed a webserver with this configuration: Nginx 1.0.5 PHP 5.3.6 with PHP-FMP Mysql 5.1.62 I have an installation of latest version of joomla on this server and when I try to upload an install package (zip file containing joomla's extension files) I get "502 Bad Gateway" with the following error in nginx log file: 2012/05/13 11:22:21 [error] 19911#0: *20 upstream sent invalid status "-1 Copy failed" while reading response header from upstream, client: 10.10.56.70, server: localhost, request: "POST /administrator/index.php?option=com_installer&view=install HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://127.0.0.1:9000", host: "radio.xx.xx", referrer: "http://radio.xx.xx/administrator/index.php?option=com_installer" I've searched all over the internet and I've changed too many parameters of php configuration, fpm config and nginx config including increasing execution times and etc but my problem still remains. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with my Joomla and problem is in webserver but there's no usable log messages, except above message. Can anyone help me with this problem?

  • OpenVPN - Ubuntu 10.04 - Client Can't Connect to Server - Linux Route Add Command Failed

    I suppose this could be asked on Server Fault as well, but it is specific to the client so I thought I'd start here. I have keys for access to an OpenVPN server already in place. I have used these keys to connect already, but using a Windows XP machine.
