I want to find the total number of bytes transferred during a particular network operation. Since this API claims to help in deriving bytes-per-operation, can someone help me understand how to use it?

    Hello all I would like to know your opinions on how to handle this. I need to create a link or advertisement that offers a phone app to be downloaded. I need that users who are viewing the page with their blackberry receive the download when they click the button but everyone else who would be viewing the page would get a form which asks that they insert a phone number to send the application to. Has anyone else already tackled this or something similar?

  • How to store multiple variables from a File Input of unknown size in Java?

    I'm a total beginner with my first programming assignment in Java. For our programming assignment, we will be given a .txt file of students like so: 3 345 Lisa Miller 890238 Y 2 <-(Number of classes) Mathematics MTH345 4 A Physics PHY357 3 B Bill Wilton 798324 N 2 English ENG378 3 B Philosophy PHL534 3 A Dandy Goat 746333 Y 1 History HIS101 3 A" The teacher will give us a .txt file on the day of turning it in with a list of unknown students. My problem is: I have a specific class for turning the data from the file into variables to be used for a different class in printing it to the screen. However, I do not know of a good way to get the variables from the input file for the course numbers, since that number is not predetermined. The only way I can think of to iterate over that unknown amount is using a loop, but that would just overwrite my variables every time. Also, the teacher has requested that we not use any JCL classes (I don't really know what this means.) Sorry if I have done a poor job of explaining this, but I can't think of a better way to conceptualize it. Let me know if I can clarify. Obviously this will not work when I do not know exactly how many classes each student will have.

  • NoSuchMethodErrors say the darndest things

    So, I'm working in eclipse were everything compiles and runs correctly. However, when compiling under ant for the build server, A large number of tests fail with a NoSuchMethodError saying: class A implements B interface B extends C C requires method getSyncID() // standard getter for an int field. A.java contains getSyncID() A.class contains getSyncID() and yet the Error is still thrown. Does anyone know how the hell this could happen? how to fix it.

  • Analysing objects generated by a Java application in between GCs.

    Is there a tool which could be used to analyse the objects being created between two separate garbage collection run (= number of objects created and their type) ? Heapdumps dont really work here as they perform a GC when they're invoked (or at least that's what I observed everytime so far), and I want to see which objects are collected by the GC, not which objects are left after the GC run, if that makes sense. ...or is it possible somehow to inspect the nature and size of objects being collected by the garbage collector ?

Particularly: select m from Manual m //constraint e.g. in sql (mysql syntax) I would do it like: select * from Manual limit 1 The only solution that comes up is simply to get all entities and then choose first one, which is out of the issue.     I have a number laptops that run our application while connected to each other in pairs with an ethernet cable, but not connected to any external network or the internet. T I need the connected pair to synchronize their system times, but since every computer needs to be able to synch with any other computer, I can't define one computer to be a time-server and the other to be a client.     Hi, I'm trying to get a report done and I have a small problem with the twocolums and the line numbering in listings. The text is on two columns, the listings can be on the two columns as well. If I put the number=left, the space between the columns is not sufficient and the text from the first column is written over. Is there any way to ask the listings to put the line numbers "outside" ?     Hello: I have a simple webpage that displays the credit balance for calling cards. So far without any problems, with HTML, PHP and mysql, I was able to retrieve the balance from a data base. But I have to display the result in ANOTHER PAGE, wich looks akward because the page must reload. Can I just load this value into a pre-drawed field under the input fields that collect the data from the customer?
