  • clicking a button via javascript does not cause a postback

    - by Andreas Niedermair
    hi there! <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" > <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.2/jquery-ui.js"></script> </head> <body> <form id="fooForm"> <script type="text/javascript"> function FooMethod() { alert('hello'); } var fooButton; var fooForm; $(document).ready(function() { InitializeVariables(); InitiliazeDialog(); InitiliazeForm(); }); function InitializeVariables() { fooButton = $('#fooButton'); fooForm = $('#fooForm'); } function InitiliazeDialog() { var dialog = $('<div/>'); dialog.css('display', 'none'); var content = $('<p/>'); var icon = $('<span/>'); icon.addClass('ui-icon ui-icon-alert'); icon.css('float', 'left'); icon.css('margin', '0px 7px 20px 0px'); content.text('do you really want to hurt me?'); icon.prependTo(content); content.appendTo(dialog); var dialogOpenMethod = function () { dialog.dialog('open'); return false; }; var dialogOpenHandlerMethod = function (event, ui) { var widget = dialog.dialog('widget'); widget.appendTo(fooForm); var overlay = widget.prev(); overlay.css('z-index', 999); overlay.appendTo(fooForm); widget.css('position', 'fixed'); widget.css('top', '50%'); widget.css('margin-top', widget.height() / 2 * -1); widget.css('left', '50%'); widget.css('margin-left', widget.width() / 2 * -1); }; var submitMethod = function () { dialog.dialog('option', 'closeOnEscape', false); var widget = dialog.dialog('widget'); var yesButton = $(':button:eq(0)', widget); var noButton = $(':button:eq(1)', widget); var closeButton = $('a.ui-dialog-titlebar-close', widget); noButton.remove(); closeButton.remove(); fooButton.unbind('click', dialogOpenMethod); fooButton.click(); }; dialog.dialog({ autoOpen: false, modal: true, buttons: { 'Ja': submitMethod, 'Nein': function () { dialog.dialog('close'); } }, open: dialogOpenHandlerMethod }); fooButton.bind('click', dialogOpenMethod); } function InitiliazeForm() { fooButton.button(); fooForm.submit(function () { alert('doing a submit'); }); } </script> <input type="submit" id="fooButton" value="submit it!" onclick="FooMethod();"></input> </form> </body> </html> what am i doing? i want a modal-confirmation: user clicks on button, confirmation "do you really want to...?", user clicks "yes", this click unbinds the original click-handler and clicks the button again (which should cause a submit). what/why is not working? indeed you need a special case. this demo won't work, unless you set modal: false. interesting to mention: the original handler (onclick="FooMethod();") is called in modal and non-modal dialog. can anybody help me out? thanks in advance!

  • Don't Change URL in Browser When Clicking <asp:LinkButton>

    - by Corey Goldberg
    I have an ASP.NET page that uses a menu based on asp:LinkButton control in a Master page. When a user selects a menu item, an onclick handler calls a method in my C# code. The method it calls just does a Server.Transfer() to a new page. From what I have read, this is not supposed to change the URL displayed in the browser. The problem is it that the URL changes in the browser as the user navigates the menu to different pages. Here is an item in the menu: <asp:LinkButton id="foo" runat="server" onclick="changeToHelp"><span>Help</span> </asp:LinkButton> In my C# code, I handle the event with a method like: protected void changeToHelp(object sender, EventArgs e) { Server.Transfer("Help.aspx"); } Any ideas how I can navigate through the menu without the browser's URL bar changing?

  • CSS image for submit button - clicking image must submit form

    - by Tom
    Please help, I have a form on wordpress. I want the user to be able to click an image instead of the standard submit button. I have the image appear and the submit button disappear - but nothing happens when I click on the image. This is the code I am using: .formBuilderForm .formBuilderSubmit { clear: both; text-align: right; display:block; width:228px; height:49px; background: url(my image url) no-repeat; text-indent:-999em; Before you say "google it" or try search: I have tried the methods mentioned here: http://www.queness.com/post/798/5-techniques-to-style-buttons-using-images-and-css I've read similar posts such as this on stackoverflow but they don't solve my frustratingly simple problem. How to change input button image using CSS? Thanks for your help.

  • ListView in Android, handler for clicking item

    - by eljainc
    Hello, I have an activity in Android which uses a ListView. When I click on an item in the ListView, I would like to be able to determine which item was clicked. I have the following code: @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setRequestedOrientation (ActivityInfo.SCREEN_ORIENTATION_PORTRAIT); setContentView(R.layout.listr); //setupDB(); // populateList3(); ListView lv = (ListView) findViewById(R.id.ListView01); lv.setClickable(true); lv.setOnItemClickListener(new OnItemClickListener() { public void onItemClick(AdapterView<?> parent, View view, int position, long id) { Toast.makeText(ListRecords.this,"Clicked!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); } }); } My XML code: xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/Linear03lr" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical" android:gravity="center" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="400dp" / <Button android:id="@+id/previousbutton" android:gravity="center_horizontal" android:layout_width = "fill_parent" android:layout_height = "fill_parent" android:text="Previous Menu"/> </LinearLayout> What am I missing here to be able to intercept clicks on the Listview? Thanks

  • WebKit gets blank when clicking on the menu toolbar

    - by Miguel Ángel Ortuño
    Hi y'all. I've embebed a WebKit view into a modal dialog using Carbon and appereantly everything works fine. However there's a little problem. When I click on the menu toolbar the view gets completely blank getting visible only when I interact with it. Seems like the control stops reciving the 'paint window' event when I call MenuSelect function. All the events are managed by the parent window because of the nature of the application (videogame). Does anybody know what this behaviour is due to and how can I avoid it? Thanks for all.

  • Disable day dynamically after clicking it

    - by Justin
    I have used the BeforeShowDays method to disable days on page load for my datepicker in the past. What I would like now is to click on a day, and the day should become disabled (not clickable, as if I used the BeforeShowDays method on that day). Is there a way to accomplish this?

  • Clicking the mouse down to drag objects on Mac

    - by Uri
    I've been using the following code to issue clicks programmatically on a Mac void PostMouseEvent(CGMouseButton button, CGEventType type, const CGPoint point) { CGEventRef theEvent = CGEventCreateMouseEvent(NULL, type, point, button); CGEventSetType(theEvent, type); CGEventPost(kCGHIDEventTap, theEvent); CFRelease(theEvent); } void Click(const CGPoint point) { PostMouseEvent(kCGMouseButtonLeft, kCGEventMouseMoved, point); NSLog(@"Click!"); PostMouseEvent(kCGMouseButtonLeft, kCGEventLeftMouseDown, point); PostMouseEvent(kCGMouseButtonLeft, kCGEventLeftMouseUp, point); } Now, I'm trying to click down to be able to drag objects, like a scroll bar or an application's window. I'm using the following: PostMouseEvent(kCGMouseButtonLeft, kCGEventMouseMoved, point); NSLog(@"Click Down!"); PostMouseEvent(kCGMouseButtonLeft, kCGEventLeftMouseDown, point); When i ran the code above something interesting will happen, when the left mouse down is issue nothing seem to happen, I move my mouse and the window doesn't move, however when I added a mouse up event then the window jumped to the location where I supposedly dragged it. this is sort of OK, however, how do I can make the mouse click down and drag an object? Note: I do have a whole method to see when the mouse stopped moving so I can click up. please post code. Thanks

  • Show transparent color filter on a View after clicking it

    - by Maarten
    So. You know how when you click a post in the Google+ app, the entire View becomes blue. I want to do that as well, but with an ImageView. I have the following code snippet, setting the actual image as the background and the selector as the main resource. This looks good, but doesn't respect scaleType for the background image: <ImageView android:id="@+id/painting_image" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="200dp" android:background="@drawable/img" android:src="@drawable/selector" android:scaleType="centerCrop" /> By the way, @drawable/selector is just a selector that shows a tranparent color for state_pressed: <item android:state_pressed="true"> <shape xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"> <solid android:color="#44521400" /> </shape></item> How can I make this work while respecting the scaleType?

  • How to make DataGrid Row really fully selectable (clicking on non-cell area)

    - by Samuel
    The question might be a little misleading. Here is a screenshot of a DataGrid that has some dummy values (code provided below) Is there a way to make the white area not covered by a cell clickable? My intention: I want to have full row selection. This can be achieved by SelectionUnit="FullRow" which is fine but how can I make the white area implicitly select the entire row without expanding available cells in width and avoiding code behind Here is the repro code: Xaml: <Window x:Class="DGVRowSelectTest.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="MainWindow" Height="350" Width="525" DataContext="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource Self}}"> <DataGrid ItemsSource="{Binding Names}" SelectionMode="Single" SelectionUnit="FullRow" > </DataGrid> </Window> Dummy Code behind of it (just sets the two entries up) using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Windows; namespace DGVRowSelectTest { public partial class MainWindow : Window { private IList<KeyValuePair<string, string>> _names = new List<KeyValuePair<string, string>>{new KeyValuePair<string, string>("A1", "A2"),new KeyValuePair<string, string>("B1","B2")}; public IList<KeyValuePair<string, string>> Names{get { return _names; }set { _names = value; }} public MainWindow() { InitializeComponent(); } } }

  • Jquery Double clicking on link removing div content

    - by ram

  • Prevent auto scrolling when clicking tab anchor

    - by JohnCrossy
    On my page I have some tabs that I've added some javascript so when they're clicked the page loads the tab's anchor URL instead of simply changing the view with AJAX, but I now want to stop the browser from auto scrolling to the anchor location. Having done some research, I'm pretty sure I just need to add a couple of lines so that when clicked it returns false or prevents default but, being a noob, I've no idea where to put them!?! I know it's cheeky, but if any answers could include the full script (ie. the below) with the solution, that way I'll understand better and hopefully learn some valuable lessons also :) Here's the code I'm using: jQuery( function() { jQuery('.ui-tabs').bind( 'tabsselect', function( e, ui ) { window.location.hash = ui.tab.hash }); });

  • ASP.NET MVC Custom Routing Long Custom Route not Clicking in my Head

    - by percent20
    I have spent several hours today reading up on doing Custom Routing in ASP.NET MVC. I can understand how to do any type of custom route if it expands from or is similar/smaller than the Default Route. However, I am trying figure out how to do a route similar to: /Language/{id}/Question/{id}/ And what I would like, too, is similar to how SO works. Something like: /Language/{id}/Arabic/Question/{ID}/Some-Question-Title Where "Arabic" and "Some-Question-Title" can be almost anything because what really matters is the ID's Am I going beyond what can be done with the extended URL past the language ID?

  • Displaying a component in EditorGridPanel without clicking

    - by Tower
    Hi, Is there a way to display a component in EditorGridPanel without the need to click on the cell? The problem I see on this demo is that the checkboxes are not Ext.form.Checkbox components, and not even inherited from it. The checkboxes are simply background images and since I am building a grid that needs ComboBoxes, it will not be simple to apply a similar hack.

  • FBML wallpost by clicking on image or button

    - by psaha
    Hello, I'm creating one facebook application with FBML. What I want is: I have several images like, <fb:tag name="img"> <fb:tag-attribute name="src">http://My_Img_Url_1.jpg</fb:tag-attribute> </fb:tag> <fb:tag name="img"> <fb:tag-attribute name="src">http://My_Img_Url_2.jpg</fb:tag-attribute> </fb:tag> While I click on the image it should open one popup "post to wall" or "Post to your Friend's wall" with the corresponding image My_Img_Url_n.jpg. I can use FBML share button like: METHOD-1 <fb:share-button class="meta"> <meta name="title" content="Image_TITLE"/> <meta name="description" content="Image_Descrip"/> <link rel="image_src" href="http://My_Img_Url_1.jpg"/> <link rel="target_url" href="Some_Target_URL"/> </fb:share-button> OR, METHOD-2: I can call fb:ui <script> FB.init({ appId:'111111111111111', cookie:true, status:true, xfbml:true }); FB.ui({ method: 'feed', name: '', link: '', picture: 'http://My_Img_Url_1.jpg' }); </script> Now the questions are: If I click on any image it will call either METHOD-1 or METHOD-2 and it will popup with that image. How can I do that? If I use <fb:multi-friend-input /> for posting to friend's wall, How can I do?

  • Clicking Elements in Android Doesn't Display the Correct Values

    - by Devin
    I apologize if this code looks a bit like a mess (considering the length); I figured I'd just include everything that goes on in my program at the moment. I'm attempting to create a fairly simple Tic Tac Toe app for Android. I've set up my UI nicely so far so that there are a "grid" of TextViews. As a sort of "debug" right now, I have it so that when one clicks on a TextView, it should display the value of buttonId in a message box. Right now, it displays the correct assigned value for the first element I click, but no matter what I click afterwards, it always just displays the first value buttonID had. I attempted to debug it but couldn't exactly find a point where it would pull the old value (to the best of my knowledge, it reassigned the value). There's a good possibility I'm missing something small, because this is my first Android project (of any note). Can someone help get different values of buttonId to appear or point out the error in my logic? The code: package com.TicTacToe.app; import com.TicTacToe.app.R; //Other import statements public class TicTacToe extends Activity { public String player = "X"; public int ALERT_ID; public int buttonId; /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); //Sets up instances of UI elements final TextView playerText = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.CurrentPlayerDisp); final Button button = (Button) findViewById(R.id.SetPlayer); final TextView location1 = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.location1); final TextView location2 = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.location2); final TextView location3 = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.location3); final TextView location4 = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.location4); final TextView location5 = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.location5); final TextView location6 = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.location6); final TextView location7 = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.location7); final TextView location8 = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.location8); final TextView location9 = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.location9); playerText.setText(player); //Handlers for events button.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View v) { // Perform action on click if (player.equals("X")){ player = "O"; playerText.setText(player); } else if(player.equals("O")){ player = "X"; playerText.setText(player); } //Sets up the dialog buttonId = 0; ALERT_ID = 0; onCreateDialog(ALERT_ID); showDialog(ALERT_ID); } }); location1.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { //Sets up the dialog buttonId = 1; ALERT_ID = 0; onCreateDialog(ALERT_ID); showDialog(ALERT_ID); } }); location2.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { //Sets up the dialog buttonId = 2; ALERT_ID = 0; onCreateDialog(ALERT_ID); showDialog(ALERT_ID); } }); location3.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { //Sets up the dialog buttonId = 3; ALERT_ID = 0; onCreateDialog(ALERT_ID); showDialog(ALERT_ID); } }); location4.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { //Sets up the dialog buttonId = 4; ALERT_ID = 0; onCreateDialog(ALERT_ID); showDialog(ALERT_ID); } }); location5.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { //Sets up the dialog buttonId = 5; ALERT_ID = 0; onCreateDialog(ALERT_ID); showDialog(ALERT_ID); } }); location6.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { //Sets up the dialog buttonId = 6; ALERT_ID = 0; onCreateDialog(ALERT_ID); showDialog(ALERT_ID); } }); location7.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { //Sets up the dialog buttonId = 7; ALERT_ID = 0; onCreateDialog(ALERT_ID); showDialog(ALERT_ID); } }); location8.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { //Sets up the dialog buttonId = 8; ALERT_ID = 0; onCreateDialog(ALERT_ID); showDialog(ALERT_ID); } }); location9.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { //Sets up the dialog buttonId = 9; ALERT_ID = 0; onCreateDialog(ALERT_ID); showDialog(ALERT_ID); } }); } protected Dialog onCreateDialog(int id){ String msgString = "You are on spot " + buttonId; AlertDialog.Builder builder = new AlertDialog.Builder(this); builder.setMessage(msgString) .setCancelable(false) .setNeutralButton("Ok", new DialogInterface.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(DialogInterface dialog, int id) { dialog.cancel(); } }); AlertDialog alert = builder.create(); return alert; } }
