    When running top interactively, I can see various word in the state column : nanslp, biord, select, uwait, lockf, pause, kqread, piperd, sbwait ... Some like nanslp or kqread are self explanatory, others are not. Tried man pages : STATE is the current state (one of "START", "RUN" (shown as "CPUn" on SMP systems), "SLEEP", "STOP", "ZOMB", "WAIT", "LOCK" or the event on which the process waits), C is the processor number on which the process is executing (visible only on SMP systems) Tried search engines : stack overflow mailing lists archives Where may I get a complete list of possible process state under FreeBSD 9, and their meanings?

  • Java Swing - Adding a row # column (row header) to a JTable

    I have data from a database loaded into a JTable through a custom table model. I want to have a column (should be the first column) which simply shows the display row number (i.e. it is not tied to any data (or sorting) but is simply the row number on the screen starting at 1). These "row headers" should be grayed out like the row headers. Any idea how to do this? Thanks

    To get the seed and step values of an identity column in sql server i can use this syntax SELECT ColumnName = name, Seed = seed_value, Step = increment_value FROM sys.identity_columns So far in MySql i have found that if i use this syntax SELECT * FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES WHERE auto_increment IS NOT NULL I can at least find out which columns are an identity... The question being how can i get the SEED and STEP values of the identity column from the MySQL Schema.

I am doing alter table obj_details IMG_SRC IMG_SRC varchar(180); I want to change the number of characters that can be used in the column IMG_SRC to 180 (it is currently 100). But I get an error saying that I should check the syntax near IMG_SRC IMG_SRC varchar(180).

    What I'm trying to do is this: XXX Some text here YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ZZZZZZZZZ Body body body Sidebar! Body body body Sidebar! Body body body Sidebar! X, Y, and Z are images (3 images total). Y can stretch along the X axis, and does so above, to fill the available space. (But doesn't cause "Some text here" to get squished and start breaking into multiple lines) I'd like to keep the "Some text here" part in one line. A line breaking here will not end happily. Is this possible, or should I simplify the layout around HTML?

  • Thunderbird: Change the Format of the Date Column

    I want to change the format of the "Date"-Column in the messagelist in Thunderbird. For mails from today, I want to display only the time, not the date. For mails from before today, I want to display only the date, not the time. This is btw the same setup mutt uses. I know of the this wiki article, which describes how to change the dateformat, but you can only switch between 5 predefined formats, and non of them is "Date only". I also know of this Extension, but it got the same limitations, you can't define a new date format. Thanks!

  • Business Objects ver 3 Alternate Row/Column Colors not active

    I am converting reports from version 2 to version 3. When I select the vertical table in the report, the propeties box appears but any changes I make is not reflected in the table. If I change any attributes at the column or cell level however, the changes are taken. The problem is that some attributes like alternate row coloring are not available at the column level.

    I know that Selenium has a built-in method getTable("tableName.row.column") can return a cell conveniently. However how can I return a whole column? I've tried getText() directly, however only the first cell was returned, getText("//tbody[@id='recordsTable']/tr[contains(@class, 'someclass')]") But getXpathCount() with the same Xpath expression showed there're multiple elements matched. getXpathCount("//tbody[@id='recordsTable']/tr[contains(@class, 'someclass')]") // result is 15 Please kindly help, many thanks!

The issue is that I cannot scroll on my device once the #hiddendiv is displayed. I this is partly because the page is only about 500px height (not actually set anywhere) whilst the #hiddendiv is about 1500px height Does anyone know of a work around for this?

  • Building a DataTable in C# with one column at a time

    I am trying to build a Retirement Calculator as a chance to make something useful and learn C# better. Currently, I am trying to build a DataTable with a dynamic amount of rows/columns. For context, I ask the user for some inputs regarding salary, % of salary being invested, and expected ROI. I have some other stuff too, but it isn't really part of the issue I am having. Because the number of columns I need for the DataTable is unknown until the formula is run (while+for loop completes), I am having trouble doing things as DataColumns. Hopefully the code below will help. I am really trying to build the table one column at a time. I realize I could reverse it to build it one row at a time because the Years before retirement (yearsRetire) is known, but I would prefer not to and I want to learn more. Sorry for the indentation and commenting. I tried to leave some of my commented coding attempts in there.   • Controlling read and write access width to memory mapped registers in C

    I'm using and x86 based core to manipulate a 32-bit memory mapped register. My hardware behaves correctly only if the CPU generates 32-bit wide reads and writes to this register. The register is aligned on a 32-bit address and is not addressable at byte granularity. What can I do to guarantee that my C (or C99) compiler will only generate full 32-bit wide reads and writes in all cases? For example, if I do a read-modify-write operation like this: volatile uint32_t* p_reg = 0xCAFE0000; *p_reg |= 0x01; I don't want the compiler to get smart about the fact that only the bottom byte changes and generate 8-bit wide read/writes. Since the machine code is often more dense for 8-bit operations on x86, I'm afraid of unwanted optimizations. Disabling optimizations in general is not an option.

  • The 80 column limit, still useful?

    Related: While coding, how many columns do you format for? Is there a valid reason for enforcing a maximum width of 80 characters in a code file, this day and age? I mostly use C, however this question is language agnostic. Its also subjective, so I'll tag it as such. Many individual projects set their own various coding standards, a guide to adjust your coding style. Many enforce an 80 column limit on code, i.e. don't force a dumb 80 x 25 terminal to wrap your lines in someone else's editor of choice if they are stuck with such a display, don't force them to turn off wrapping. Both private and open source projects usually have some style guidelines. My question is, in this day and age, is that requirement more of a pest than a helper? Does anyone still login via the local console with no framebuffer and actually edit code? If so, how often and why cant you use SSH? I help to manage a few open source projects, I was considering extending this limit to 110 columns, but I wanted to get feedback first. So, any feedback is appreciated. I can see the need to make certain OUTPUT of programs (i.e. a --help /h display) 80 columns or less, but I really don't see the need to force people to break up code under 110 columns long into 2 lines, when its easier to read on one line. I can also see the case for adhering to an 80 column limit if you're writing code that will be used on micro controllers that have to be serviced in the field with a god-knows-what terminal emulator. Beyond that, what are your thoughts? Edit: This is not an exact duplicate. I am asking very specific questions, such as how many people are actually still using such a display. I am also not asking "what is a good column limit", I'm proposing one and hoping to gather feedback. Beyond that, I'm also citing cases where the 80 column limit is still a good idea. I don't want a guide to my own "c-style", I'm hoping to adjust standards for several projects.   • Summing up spreadsheet data when a column contains “#N/A”

    I am using Goggle Spreadsheet to work up some historical stock data and I use a Google function (=googlefinance=…) to import the historical closing prices for a stock, then I work with that data further. But, in that list of data generated from the =googlefinance=… function, one of the amounts comes up as #N/A. I don’t know why, but it happens for various symbols that I have tried. When I use a max function on the array, which includes the N/A line, the max function does not come up with anything but an N/A, so the N/A throws off any further functions. I thought I’d create a second column to the right of the imported data in which I can give it an IF function, something like, If ((A1 <0), "0", A1), with the expectation that it would return 0 if cell A1 is the N/A, and the cell value if it is not N/A. However, this still returns N/A. I also tried an IS BLANK function but that resulted in the same NA. Does anyone have any suggestions for a workaround to eliminate the N/A from an array of numbers that I am trying to work with?

In properties I am trying to set 'Default Value or Binding' to a simple XML along the lines of: <root><title>Welcome</title><body>Thank you for your time.</body></root> However, when I click away, I get "sql error validating the default for column," I set this value in other numerical columns and it worked fine. What gives?
