  I started getting the following error today, but don't know why and what caused it. [31-May-2010 03:52:10] PHP Fatal error: Cannot run code from this file in conjunction with non encoded files in ZendFramework-1.10.5/library/Zend/Validate/Hostname/Com.php on line 547 I'm using zend framework version 1.10.5; although version 1.09 also has the same problem. I only get this error in my production server, and cannot duplicate it from anywhere else. Also note that I only get this error when I submit form with recaptcha. If I remove recaptcha, it works fine. Any help is appreciated.

  I'm writing a script to ssh in to a list of machines and compare a variable to another value.. I've run into a problem (I have a couple workarounds, but at this point I'm just wondering why this method isn't working). VAR=ssh $i "awk -F: '/^bar/ {print \$2}' /local/foo.txt" ($i would be a hostname. The hosts are trusted, no password prompt is given) Example of foo.txt: foo:123456:abcdef bar:789012:ghijkl baz:345678:mnopqr I'm assuming it's a problem with quotes, or \'s needed somewhere. I've tried several methods (different quoting, using $() instead of ``, etc) but can't seem to get it right. My script is working correctly using the following: VAR=ssh $i "grep bar /local/foo.txt" | awk -F: '{print \$2}' Like I said, just a curiousity, any response is appreciated.

  I am trying to redirect /folder to / using .htaccess but all am I getting is the Apache HTTP Server Test Page. My root directory looks like this: / .htaccess -/folder -/folder2 -/folder3 My .htaccess looks like this: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/folder/ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ folder/$1 [L] What am I doing wrong? I checked my httpd.conf (I'm running Centos 5.3) and the mod_rewrite library is being loaded. As a side note, my server is not a www server, its simply a virtual machine so its hostname is centosvm. Addition: I have found that the mod_rewrite module is loaded, but none of my .htaccess redirects seem to be working.

• Problem with connection to MS SQL Server database using SSMS

  I have a database on line with Godaddy (who uses SQL Server 2005). They provide basic management tools, but tell you that for more advanced tools you can connect directly using SSMS. I followed their instructions to ensure my online database will accept remote connections, and can apparently log in using SSMS with success (after giving my hostname and access data). However: When attempting to expand the "Databases" folder tree, I get the following error: Failed to retrieve data for this request. • Huge amount of time sending data with suds and proxy

  Hi everyone, I have the following code to send data through a proxy using suds: import suds t = suds.transport.http.HttpTransport() proxy = urllib2.ProxyHandler({'http': 'http://192.168.3.217:3128'}) opener = urllib2.build_opener(proxy) t.urlopener = opener ws = suds.client.Client('http://xxxxxxx/web.asmx?WSDL', transport=t) req = ws.factory.create('ActionRequest.request') req.SerialNumber = 'asdf' req.HostName = 'hola' res = ws.service.ActionRequest(req) I don't know why, but it can be sending data above 2 or 3 minutes, or even more and it raises a "Gateway timeout" exception sometimes. If I don't use the proxy, the amount of time used is above 2 seconds or less. Here is the SOAP reply: (ActionResponse){ Id = None Action = "Action.None" Objects = "" } The proxy is running right with other requests through urllib2, or using normal web browsers like firefox. • Has anyone managed to get jdotnetservices working on Android ?

  I am trying to use jdotnetservices (http://www.jdotnetservices.com/), which is a java SDK for Windows Azure AppFabric, in an Android application. I have had to make some tweaks but only minor ones because jdotnetservices is written to target Java 1.6 and Android uses 1.5. I can get it to compile and run OK but I'm getting errors when I try to access the service bus ACS. Specifically, if I try to get a token from the service bus ACS I get this : Hostname mysolution-sb.accesscontrol.windows.net was not verified. Can anyone give me some pointers as to why this might be ? I can browse to the url of the ACS from Android : https://mysolution-sb.accesscontrol.windows.net/wrapv0.9 which gives me a certificate error, could this be why ? Any way round this ?

• JavaScript To Strip Page For URL

  We have a javascript function we use to track page stats internally. However, the URLs it reports many times include the page numbers for search results pages which we would rather not be reported. The pages that are reports are of the form: http://www.test.com/directory1/2 http://www.test.com/directory1/subdirectory1/15 http://www.test.com/directory3/1113 Instead we'd like the above reported as: http://www.test.com/directory1 http://www.test.com/directory1/subdirectory1 http://www.test.com/directory3 Please note that the numbered 'directory' and 'subdirectory' names above are just for example purposes and that the actual subdirectory names are all different, don't necessarily include numbers at the end of the directory name, and can be many levels deep. Currently our JavaScript function produces these URLs using the code: var page = location.hostname+document.location.pathname; I believe we need to use the JavaScript replace function in combination with some regex but I'm at a complete loss as to what that would look like.   I'm attempting to rewrite some C# web service code that uses the Windows IP Helper API call "SendARP" to retreive a remote system's MAC address. SendARP works great - until you cross a network segment as Arp requests aren't routed. I've been looking at the "ParseNetworkString" documentation after happening across its existance on StackOverflow. • Flex 3 Regular Expression Problem

  I've written a url validator for a project I am working on. For my requirements it works great, except when the last part for the url goes longer than 22 characters it breaks. My expression: /((https?):\/\/)([^\s.]+.)+([^\s.]+)(:\d+\/\S+)/i It expects input that looks like "http(s)://hostname:port/location". When I give it the input: https://demo10:443/111112222233333444445 it works, but if I pass the input https://demo10:443/1111122222333334444455 it breaks. You can test it out easily at http://ryanswanson.com/regexp/#start. Oddly, I can't reproduce the problem with just the relevant (I would think) part /(:\d+\/\S+)/i. I can have as many characters after the required / and it works great. Any ideas or known bugs?

• Why can't I access a web app running on my Mac via my iPhone?

  I'm developing an iPhone app that has a network component. I'm developing the app in Java (Google App Engine actually), running on port 8080. And it works, when I test my app in the iPhone simulator. But now I am trying to test on the device, and I can't hit my Jetty instance. I can certainly access my Mac via the iPhone because I'm able to hit http://10.0.1.7/~brianpapa/ and view my Home Folder when Web Sharing is turned on. But when I try to hit http://10.0.1.7:8080/, it says it can't connect to the server. Interestingly, if I try to hit http://10.0.1.7:8080/ from my mac, it doesn't work either - I have to use localhost as the hostname instead, then it's fine. Has anybody ever encountered this before, and know how to fix it?

• Twitter API + OAuth - 401 error developing locally using reverse SSH tunnel

  I'm developing a django application which lets users connect their Twitter account. As I'm developing locally, I have set up a reverse SSH tunnel so that the Twitter API has a valid callback url (myserver.net): ssh -nNTR :6969:localhost:8000 myserver.net On successful authentication, Twitter passes back its OAuth access tokens to myserver.net, which in turn attempts to access Twitter's API, which returns a 401 error. I assume that because the callback is different to the address which is accessing the API (myserver.net / localhost), Twitter denies me access. I have tried this: export http_proxy="http://myserver.net:3128" Where myserver.net:3128 is running a Squid Proxy server to tunnel Twitter's API requests from my development machine so they appear to be coming from myserver, but receive the same 401 error. When I deploy to a server with a proper hostname / static IP address it works fine. What else do I need to do?

  In the svnbook, it shows you how to shorten the URL to your repositories when using svnserve as a daemon, using -r like: svnserve -d -r /usr/local/repositories That way, you can refer to the repository you need right after the hostname in the URL without revealing any of the local path (which is /usr/local/repositories/project1): svn checkout svn://host.example.com/project1 However, now that I am switching to svn+ssh, I have the local path back in my repository URL: svn checkout svn+ssh://host.example.com/usr/local/repositories/project1 Does anyone know how to hide that local path and use a shorter URL as up above, using svn+ssh and WITHOUT using a UNIX soft link on the svn server? (you still end up with an extra string in the URL if you use a soft link...) UPDATE: The solution to this can be found in the accepted answer over on ServerFault (the green-checked answer). Yay!

• boolean type for while loop in bash?

  I have a cron script on a shared web host that occasionally gets killed. I'd like to make a loop in bash that tries again if it gets killed, because most of the time it will make it. I'm having trouble with the syntax for storing a boolean value :P #!/bin/bash VAR=0; while [ $VAR ]; do if nice -19 mysqldump -uuser -ppassword -h database.hostname.com --skip-opt --all --complete-insert --add-drop-table database_name > ~/file/system/path/filename.sql; then VAR=1; fi done So the script recovers from a killed process okay, but once it's run properly, the new VAR value doesn't kill the while loop. What am I doing wrong?

• Need help with Drupal bulk mail low open rate for legitimate mailing list

  I've moved from constant contact to Drupal Simplenews/Mimemail/SMTP. Previously the open rate was around 50% for constant contact, but now it's 4-5% for the same list via the mentioned setup. Mail is getting out from the server, but it's having an issue anyway. Here's the setup: -The e-mail list consists of approximately 80,000 addresses which is queued at 10,000 e-mails per cron run (which runs hourly). -The server is a Dual Core2Quad machine with 2GB of RAM. -When mail is being sent, the mail queue will usually go up to ~1000 at the beginning of the hour before reducing to ~250 by the time the next cron occurs. -Newsletter is themed to display custom style for newsletter on send -Newsletter is received by some, but appears to be bounced by many (based on low open rate_ -I've added SPF, domain keys, and a PTR record to the DNS -Server hostname (listed in ptr) is different from hosted domain -Very low spam number via Spamassassin -IP and domain are not blacklisted -Mail goes out via SMTP module on delivery. Any ideas?

• Can I grant explicit Javascript methods to a different-host iframe?

  I'm thinking about a system in which I allow users to create Javascript-empowered widgets for other users to embed in their dashboard on my website. I'd like to limit these widgets fairly strictly, so each would exist as an iframe kept on its own unique hostname: the widget with ID #47 would be accessible at w47.widgets.example.com, for example. It would be helpful, for permission-granting dialogs and the like, to allow the widget to call very specific methods explicitly granted by the parent window, without authorizing the iframe to do whatever it likes with the parent frame on the user's behalf. Is it possible for a parent document to explicitly allow certain method calls to a child document on a different host?

• Trying to programmatically add a SQL Alias to the registry (just need help with parameters)

  Normally when we spin up a new instance we need to add an alias on one of our boxes so we can easily connect to it through SSMS using SQL Server Configuration Manager. I have written a batch file which adds the appropriate entry into the registry (it is actually two batch files, one for 32 bit and one for 64 bit). I am not sure how to get this to run with parameters though. I know %1 and %2 would be for the first two parameters, but when I run this, in the registry it actually puts %1 and %2 as the value pair. if you hardcode hostname and IP Address in place of %1 and %2 the batch file works as expected: REGEDIT4 ; @ECHO OFF ; CLS ; REGEDIT.EXE /S "%~f0" ; EXIT [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\Client\ConnectTo] "%1"="DBMSSOCN,%2,1433"

• SSH X11 Tunneling

  Hey all, I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 and trying to run a Java program I wrote whose source code is located on a remote machine. I'm using ssh to connect using the following command from the terminal: ssh -X username@hostname When running the program, one of the GUI frames has its buttons missing from view, but they are clickable and work as expected when I can guess accurately where they are. Running the code from my local machine they are present, and running from another windows machine using X-Windows they are present. Been trying to solve this problem for a few hours now but to no avail. Anyone have any helpful insight how to resolve this issue? Thanks!
