    Hi, my code is below: private string connectionstring = @"Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=C:\myexcel.xls; Extended Properties=""Excel 8.0;HDR=YES;"""; this is my connection string, the excel file is created writable (not readonly) either my command to insert any data is : string commandstring = "insert into [mus$] (name, surname) values('mickey', 'mouse')"; But my commandstring does not work and gives the error: "number of query values and destination fields are not the same" Where I do mistake ?

    Hi all, I have a table that contains sales transaction (~20 mil rows). Previously I used MSSQL and export it to an Excel pivot. Data refresh took 10-15 minutes but still do-able. However, after I migrated to MySQL (using XamppLite & ODBC), it took forever to refresh the data in the Excel pivot. Maybe I didn't optimize the MySQL good enough ? Anyone can share some thoughts 'bout this ? Thanks

    Hi I need to emulate a task pane by floating a modeless form over the Excel main window. The reason for this requirement is that I need to have taskpane features for my Excel 2003 add-in, but cannot use the document-centric model. Can anyone suggest what would be the best way to do this? The modeless form would need to detect the main window resize event and resize itself accordingly, and also need to always position itself at the bottom of the window (kind of like a docking pane).

    Hello, i have a bit of asp.net code that exports data in a datagrid into excel but i noticed that it messes up a particular field when exporting. eg .. i have the value of something like 89234010000725515875 in a column in the datagrid but when exported, it turns it into 89234+19.     Hi to all. I need a free library (or not too expensive) for .NET to work with the excel document. I need to read data, modify, save and add charts into the document. Or in another way, I need a free library for creating and inserting charts into the excel document (only for charts). I have found FlexCel and SmartXLS, but FlexCel doesn't support the charts (can't create), while SmartXLS has a small functionality. Thanks for any help.

    I am attempting to perform conditional formatting in Excel 2007 by checking if a cell has a specific string in it and therefore highlighting the entire row corresponding to the text. However, Excel 2007's Conditional Formatting only allows me to highlight that specific cell. Is there a workaround to this without having to get my hands dirty with VBA?
