• Creating a new Active Directory account with an InfoPath form

  I am setting up a business partner portal in our Sharepoint server. There will be an AD group with permissions limited to viewing and possibly contributing to the specific business partner site and employees of our business partners will have accounts created for them as needed. Now we would like to let our business development group(BDG) have control over the partner accounts. Ideally they should be able to add and delete accounts and change permissions on them. The BDG are not domain admins so we don't want to give them access to the domain controller. We want to create an Infopath form that will allow them to do all this. Is it possible to create and manage AD accounts from within an Infopath form on the sharepoint server? I searched this site and MSDN and can not find anything specifically related to my question.

• Run .sh file in linux machine via putty

  I want run an .sh file which take an argument in a Linux machine. I'm using plink.exe to execute this .sh file from a windows machine. But I don't know what to write in the batch file in order to run plink.exe which in turn executes the .sh file and this file arguement. How do I grant access to that database as mysql reports a syntax error. e.g. grant select,insert,update,delete on astpp.* to 'portal'@'localhost' identified by 'Ab7g12Xh35' with grant option; works, but grant select,insert,update,delete on astpp-eth01.* to 'portal'@'localhost' identified by 'Ab7g12Xh35' with grant option; Does not. • cisco vpn and on demand routing

  We need to connect to a partner via a Cisco VPN from one of our internal servers. This server is already configured for demand dial routing to a different partner, using windows RRAS. The partner provided us the group authentication credentials and the regular logon credentials. Basically, I need to configure it so that when this server needs to access a specific host it will automatically establish the vpn connection and route that specific traffic to them. How can I do this? I've installed the Cisco VPN Client (5.0.07.0440) on the server and I can open it up and connect. However, I'm stuck on how to configure this to automatically happen.

And there is another option: BAM – Business Activity Monitoring. BAM takes the monitoring of BPMN processes one step further. BAM allows you to create more advanced dashboards and even real-time alerts. BAM enables you to make decisions based on real-time information gathered from your running processes. • Oracle Service Bus JMS Deployments Utility by Mike Muller

  For proxy services utilizing the JMS transport, OSB receives messages from destinations by using an MDB. These MDBs get generated and deployed during activation of the service configuration. OSB creates a random, unique name for the J2EE application that gets deployed to WLS. The name starts with “_ALSB_” and ends in a unique series of digits. The EAR files are written to the sbgen subdirectory of the domain home directory. You will see these applications on the WLS console page for “Deployments”. For various operational reasons, there are times when the application name for a given proxy service needs to be determined. Since the generated name of the application doesn’t reflect the name of the service, it becomes difficult to determine the relationship between the service and its EAR file.   The advantages of using the Oracle Metadata Services Repository as a central storage for the metadata. SCA has been available since the release of the Oracle SOA Suite 11g. This technology combines and orchestrates several SOA components inside an SCA composite, making design, development, deployment, and maintenance easier. SCA development is metadata-driven, meaning that metadata artifacts, such as Web Services Description Language (WSDL), XML Schema Definition (XSD), XML, others, define the composite's behavior. With the increased number of composites and the dependencies among them, it became necessary to manage all the metadata in an adequate way. This article will address the advantages of using the Oracle Metadata Services (MDS) repository as a central storage for the metadata. The MDS repository is a central part of the Oracle Fusion Middleware landscape, managing the metadata for several technologies, such as Oracle Application Development Framework (Oracle ADF), Oracle WebCenter, and the Oracle SOA Suite. This article is divided into three parts. The first part provides an overview of SCA and MDS. The second part describes some MDS tasks that help in the management of the SCA metadata files inside the repository. • How do you research while pair programming?

  I've recently started at a new job and pairing has helped me become effective there very quickly. I am, however, having a hard time when we must do brief joint research during our workflow, covering API features, code examples, or command options. My team lead urges us to do all research on our pairing station, rather than our individual laptops, and to synchronize our research by verbally negotiating the steps between different web resources. I research, read, and absorb information differently from my pairing partner, and I feel much more productive when I can follow a thread of research to the next web page exactly when I want to, rather than trying to keep exact pace and place with what my partner's reading. We're both smart and fast, but we can't help moving in different ways and instantaneous velocities when we're figuring stuff out. It seems so much easier to poke around individually for a minute until one of us says "I've got it," then get back together and code. When you pair program, how do you handle short research tasks? What works best for you, and how to you keep in sync with your partner?

• Manipulating Human Tasks (for testing) by Mark Nelson

  A few months ago, while working on a BPM migration, I had the need to look at the status of human tasks, and to manipulate them – essentially to just have a single user take random actions on them at some interval, to help drive a set of processes that were being tested. To do this, I wrote a little utility called httool.  It reuses some of the core domain classes from my custom worklist sample (with minimal changes to make it a remote client instead of a local one). I have not got around to documenting it yet, but it is pretty simple and fairly self explanatory.  So I thought I would go ahead and share it with folks, in case anyone is interested in playing with it. You can get the code from my ci-samples repository on java.net: git clone git://java.net/ci4fmw~ci-samples It is in the httool directory. I do plan to get back to this “one day” and enhance it to be more intelligent – target particular task types, update the payload, follow a set of “rules” about what action to take – so that I can use it for more driving more interesting test scenarios.  If anyone is feeling generous with their time, and interested, please feel free to join the java.net project and hack away to your heart’s content. • Expanding the Oracle Enterprise Repository with functional documentation by Marc Kuijpers

  Introduction Have you ever experienced the challenge to map both your functional and technical assets in one software package? Finding a software package that is able to describe the metadata about these assets and their mutual relationships? And if you found the correct software package, was it maintainable? The Oracle Enterprise Repository (OER) is a powerful SOA repository. Its core task is to map and visualize the interaction between technical assets generated by the SOA Suite and OSB. However, OER can be configured to not only contain these technical assets, but also to contain functional assets, i.e.: functional designs, use cases and a logical data model. Now that’s interesting! OER is able to show all the assets in your system and, if necessary, zoom in on one of the assets and their mutual relationships (Figure 1). This blog explains the use case for the service, gives an overview of the software architecture, and briefly discusses GML as markup language for geographical data.   All those years that I am working with WebLogic, the BEA and Oracle era are the most well known about WebLogic evolving into a worldwide Enterprise platform for Java applications, being used by multinationals around the globe. But how did it all begin? Besides from the spare info you find on some Internet pages, I was eager to hear it in person from one of the founders of WebLogic back in 1995, before the BEA era, Laurie Pitman. Four young people, Carl Resnikoff, Paul Ambrose, Bob Pasker, and Laurie Pitman, became friends and colleagues about the time of the first release of Java in 1995. Between the four of them, they had an MA in American history, an MA in piano, an MS in library systems, a BS in chemistry, and a BS in computer science. They had come together kind of serendipitously, interested in building some web tools exclusively in Java for the emerging Internet web application market. They found many things to like about each other, some overlap in our interests, but also a lot of well-placed differences which made a partnership particularly interesting. A very interesting session because everyone had a very clear view on the Oracle SOA Suite and a technical background. What we wanted to do was creating a common view on what a Service-Oriented Architecture is, what the benefits are that can be achieved and what is needed to create a Service-Oriented Architecture. During this very interactive session we moved from a clearly technology view on the matter (Oracle SOA Suite) to an architectural view slicing from business to technology. Nach einem guten Abendessen hatten alle die Möglichkeit, auf einer Großleinwand beim EM-Spiel Deutschland gegen Holland mitzufiebern. Insgesamt war es ein sehr gelungener Abend, waren die deutschen Jungs doch siegreich und sicherten sich den Einzug ins Viertelfinale. Der Customer Experience Gipfel selbst hat dann alle Erwartungen übertroffen: 150 Teilnehmer, ein Drittel mehr als erwartet, zeigten großes Interesse an Multichannel-Strategien, Loyalty und wie man jeden einzelnen Schritt des Kunden im Kontakt mit dem Unternehmen zu einem positiven Kundenerlebnis werden lässt. So standen überwiegend Unternehmenspräsentationen aus den unterschiedlichen Branchen wie Telekommunikation, Handel oder Travel & Transportation auf dem Programm. Neun Round Tables, fast alle von den teilnehmenden Oracle Partnern moderiert, und 1:1-Gespräche rundeten die Konferenz ab. Und Zeit zum Networking blieb natürlich auch. Bei diesem Angebot war das Teilnehmer-Fazit demnach durchwegs positiv, vor allem sind die Kunden (und Partner) schon auf Oracle Customer Experience (CX) und die Vorteile für das eigene Kundenmanagement gespannt. • Customer Experience Gipfel – ein Nachbericht

  Am 14. Juni fand der Customer Experience Gipfel statt, der von Dialogum exklusiv für Oracle und seine Partner durchgeführt wurde. Dort konnten Partner und Endkunden über die Zukunft des Kundenmanagements diskutieren und erfuhren, was sich hinter dem Begriff „Customer Experience“ alles verbirgt. Die Konferenz begann mit einem Networking Dinner am Vorabend, an dem den 80 Teilnehmern in einer ersten Präsentation das Thema „Mobile Commerce“ vorgestellt wurde. • Consuming Hello World pagelet in WebCenter Spaces

  Introduction The goal of this exercise is to show you how can you use Hello World pagelet that you just created from your web space. Assumptions Let's assume the following: Pagelet Producer is running on http://pageletserver.company.com:8889/pagelets/ WebCenter is running on http://webcenter.company.com:8888/webcenter/ You created Hello_World pagelet as described here. For our exercise we will need a space created. So let's login into WebCenter Portal and create a space called "myspace" using "Portal Site" template: Registering Pagelet Producer with WebCenter portal In order to use our newly created pagelet from WebCenter Spaces, we first need to register Pagelet Producer: Click "Administraion" link on WebCenter toolbar Open the "Configuration" tab Click on "Services" link on the upper-left corner of the page Click on "Portlet Producers" link on the right hand pane of the screen Click on "Register" button Select "Pagelet Producer" radio button and type Producer Name = "MyPageletProducer" Server URL = http://pageletserver.company.com:8889/pagelets/ Click "Test" button If everything is succesful you will see the following screen: Now click "OK'. Pagelet producer is registered: Inserting Hello World pagelet to WebCenter Space Now let's insert Hello World pagelet into "myspace" page: Let's go back to "myspace", click on the icon in a upper-right corner of the page and select "Edit Page" Click on one of the "Add Content" buttons: Select "Mash-Ups": Select "Pagelet Producers: You will see the MyPageletProducer that we just registered: Click on it. • New WebLogic Server 12.1.2 Installation and Patching Technology By Monica Riccelli

  WebLogic Server 12.1.2 has many new features, but the first new feature you are likely to notice is the change in installer technology. WebLogic Server and Coherence 12.1.2 are installed using Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) installer technology. We have also changed WebLogic Server patching technology from SmartUpdate to OPatch, the patching tool used to patch OUI installations. Note that installation and patching technology used for prior versions of WebLogic Server has not changed. The primary motivation for this change is to provide consistency across the Oracle stack. Prior to WebLogic Server 12.1.2, Fusion Middleware customers were required to use different technologies to install and patch, for example, Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) with WebLogic Server. Now users can perform installation and patching across products more efficiently by using the same technologies, and by using new installation packages that simplify installation of Fusion Middleware products with WebLogic Server. The following WebLogic Server distributions are now available on the Oracle Technology Network (OTN)  under OTN license, and from Oracle Software Delivery Cloud (OSDC) for licensed customers: wls_121200.jar - This OUI installer package includes WebLogic Server and Coherence and is targeted at WebLogic Server users who do not require other Fusion Middleware components such as ADF. This generic installer can be used to install WebLogic Server and Coherence on any supported operating system, and is intended for development or production purposes. • Adaptive Case Management – Exposing the API – part 1 by Roger Goossens

  One of the most important building blocks of Adaptive Case Management is the ACM API. At one point or another you’re gonna need a way to get information (think about a list of stakeholders, available activities, milestones reached, etc.) out of the case. Since there’s no webservice available yet that exposes the internals of the case, your only option right now is the ACM API. ACM evangelist Niall Commiskey has put some samples online to give you a good feeling of the power of the ACM API. The examples show how you can access the API by means of RMI. You first need to obtain a BPMServiceClientFactory that gives access to the important services you’ll mostly be needing, i.e. the IBPMUserAuthenticationService (needed for obtaining a valid user context) and the ICaseService (the service that exposes all important case information).
