  • Is it possible to send an email and auto redirect in single php file?

    As the title said: Is it possible to send an email (using php mail()) and after sending the email, auto redirect to another page. All the codes will be in single php file? Code-wise, should be something like this: if(mail(argument...)){ header("Location: www.google.com"); } I think I would get a: "Error: header information already sent" or something like. But what if I want to send email and then auto-redirect on that page?? Possible?

  • Is there any way to send Outlook meeting requests from a non-default calendar?

    Hi, We have a user with two Outlook accounts. [email protected] is of type Exchange; [email protected] is of type IMAP/SMTP. Both are actually on our Exchange server; but since an Outlook profile can only have one Exchange account, the second one is set up as IMAP. The user would like to send a meeting request from her xyz.com account, so the "from" address appears as [email protected]. Unfortunately that doesn't work. If she creates the meeting in her xyz.com calendar, the meeting request still goes out through her Exchange account, [email protected]. The meeting request "compose message" window has an Account dropdown below the Send button, but this has no effect. Before she sends the invitation, a warning appears: "Responses to this meeting request will not be tallied because this meeting is not in your main Calendar folder. Is this OK?" Is there any workaround for this? We're using Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2003 SP2. Thanks, Richard

    Ok this is somenthing unbelievable, we have a website, users sign up and receives links to confirm they signed up BUT: 1 - microsoft blocked our IP (no one with microsoft email account can receive our emails) 2 - we tryed contacting microsoft submitting the detailed form about our problem 3 - we posted 3 times in their community about our problem 4 - we tweeted they about our problem 5 - we tryed finding out some telephone support number (the few there are arent' helping at all) Do you think we solved? the answer is NO :/ We still unable to send emails from our IP to microsoft email accounts, since 3 months back. Our emails are perfect we checked all the email headers following microsoft guidelines but it seems not enought, checking our IP reputation it seems everythings ok, indeed we can send email easly to any other provider , gmail, yahoo, etc Do you know any other way to try to get help ?     I need to send email over smtp with ssl using java client. I'm not sure how to do that. If I have my server certificate installed on my Windows machine, how do I use it? If I want it to work on a non-Windows machine, do I need to get the certificates in a different way? BTW: If the SMTP server that I use is using SSL, can I be sure that it will send the mail to the recipient using SSL?

  • How can I send multiple types of objects across Protobuf?

    I'm implementing a client-server application, and am looking into various ways to serialize and transmit data. I began working with Xml Serializers, which worked rather well, but generate data slowly, and make large objects, especially when they need to be sent over the net. So I started looking into Protobuf, and protobuf-net. My problem lies in the fact that protobuf doesn't sent type information with it. With Xml Serializers, I was able to build a wrapper which would send and receive any various (serializable) object over the same stream, since object serialized into Xml contain the type name of the object. ObjectSocket socket = new ObjectSocket(); socket.AddTypeHandler(typeof(string)); // Tells the socket the types socket.AddTypeHandler(typeof(int)); // of objects we will want socket.AddTypeHandler(typeof(bool)); // to send and receive. socket.AddTypeHandler(typeof(Person)); // When it gets data, it looks for socket.AddTypeHandler(typeof(Address)); // these types in the Xml, then uses // the appropriate serializer. socket.Connect(_host, _port); socket.Send(new Person() { ... }); socket.Send(new Address() { ... }); ... Object o = socket.Read(); Type oType = o.GetType(); if (oType == typeof(Person)) HandlePerson(o as Person); else if (oType == typeof(Address)) HandleAddress(o as Address); ... I've considered a few solutions to this, including creating a master "state" type class, which is the only type of object sent over my socket. This moves away from the functionality I've worked out with Xml Serializers, though, so I'd like to avoid that direction. The second option would be to wrap protobuf objects in some type of wrapper, which defines the type of object. (This wrapper would also include information such as packet ID, and destination.) It seems silly to use protobuf-net to serialize an object, then stick that stream between Xml tags, but I've considered it. Is there an easy way to get this functionality out of protobuf or protobuf-net? I've come up with a third solution, and posted it below, but if you have a better one, please post it too!

The obvious answer here is mail(), but I'm also looking for a list of functions someone might use to manually open a connection to an MTA, or spawn a process on the local machine which might in turn send an email using sendmail, postfix, etc. The context here is I want to scan a large, unknown codebase for code that's sending out email (because we already located a call to mail(), and that's not doing it)

  • On iPhone, what does EPERM (errno == 1) mean in reponse to send() of UDP data?

    We sending data over UDP from the iPhone, sometimes, but not always, in response to our first send() of UDP data, we are getting back a -1 return code and errno set to 1 (EPERM / operation not permitted). The EPERM result for send(), sendto() and sendmsg() is not documented in the man pages as a return result from those functions. Has anyone out there encountered this and might be able to shed some light on what this errno value means in this context?
