  • Virtualhost pulling from the same site??

    I have my httpd.conf on fedora 8 that I am setting the virtual host file. Here is what I have: DocumentRoot "/var/www/html" <Directory /> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None </Directory> <Directory "/var/www/html"> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks AllowOverride All Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory> then below I am trying to setup a vhost to have multiple sites on the server: NameVirtualHost *:80 <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName kadence.tv DocumentRoot /var/www/html/ </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName nacc.biz DocumentRoot /var/www/html/nacc/ </VirtualHost> also in the /var/www/html/ directory I have the index.php file for the kadence site...when I do to either site I get the index for the kadence site...any ideas what I am doing wrong EDIT the full contents of my httpd configuration file are here.

    Oracle Coherence Coherence provides replicated and distributed (partitioned) data management and caching services on top of a reliable, highly scalable peer-to-peer clustering protocol. Coherence has no single points of failure; it automatically and transparently fails over and redistributes its clustered data management services when a server becomes inoperative or is disconnected from the network. When a new server is added, or when a failed server is restarted, it automatically joins the cluster and Coherence fails back services to it, transparently redistributing the cluster load. Coherence includes network-level fault tolerance features and transparent soft re-start capability to enable servers to self-heal. For the ones looking at an easy reading and first good approach to Oracle Coherence, I would recommend reading the following book : Overview of Oracle Coherence 3.5 Build scalable web sites and Enterprise applications using a market-leading data grid product Design and implement your domain objects to work most effectively with Coherence and apply Domain Driven Designs (DDD) to Coherence applications Leverage Coherence events and continuous queries to provide real-time updates to client applications Successfully integrate various persistence technologies, such as JDBC, Hibernate, or TopLink, with Coherence Filled with numerous examples that provide best practice guidance, and a number of classes you can readily reuse within your own applications This book is targeted to Architects and developers, and as in our team we're more about Solutions Architects than developers I found interest in this book as it help to understand better Oracle Coherence and its value. The only point I may not agree with the authors is that Oracle Coherence is not an alternative to Oracle RAC in providing High Availability, but combining both Oracle RAC and Oracle Coherence will help Architects and Customers to reach higher level of service and high-availability.     I'm considering adding robots "noindex, follow" tags to the very numerous product data pages that are linked from the product style pages in our online store. For example, each product style has a page with full text content on the product: http://www.shop.example/Product/Category/Style/SOME-STYLE-CODE Then many data pages with technical data for each model code is linked from the product style page. http://www.shop.example/Product/Category/Style/SOME-STYLE-CODE-1 http://www.shop.example/Product/Category/Style/SOME-STYLE-CODE-2 http://www.shop.example/Product/Category/Style/SOME-STYLE-CODE-3 It is these technical data pages that I intend to add the no index code to, as I imagine that this might stop these pages from cannibalizing keyword authority for more important content rich pages on the site. Any advice appreciated.

    My tools: IIS7 1 x Windows 2008 Server IIS URL Rewrite Module 2 (installed) My requirement: Mask the redirection of www.bob.com to www.abc.com/bob/index.html - the end user should not see the www.abc.com The user should then be able to browse the website as normal. I have found references to installing AAR, however this seems to be more for load balancing etc? Then others have said use a 3rd party tool etc.

    I have an internal website that cannot be accessed from some machines on my network, due to the physical location, VPN ,network ranges etc. I would like to install Squid on "in between" network to forward request from the clients that cannot reach the website. The issue is the clients have no ability to connect to www.example.com , but they can reach a network with a squid proxy , which in turn can reach www.example.com What is the correct term I need to research in squid , is it just caching www.example.com or do I need to set the clients to use a URL that gets rewritten ? i.e www.squid-example.com -- www.example.com

  • Redmine on Redhat/CentOS 5 Without using virtual hosts

    I've have followed all the steps to install Redmine on CentOS 5, except for the Apache part: http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/HowTo_install_Redmine_on_CentOS_5 I do not want to configure a virtualhost as we are not using virtual hosts. Can I configure Redmine to run with http://hostname/redmine? Apparently it doesn't work for my case. Redmine was extracted in to the webserver document root /var/www/html/ called /var/www/html/redmine What I did was added a redmine.conf to /etc/httpd/conf.d/ with the following configuration and restarted the server: <Location "/redmine"> Options Indexes ExecCGI FollowSymLinks -MultiViews Order allow,deny Allow from all AllowOverride all PassengerEnabled On RailsBaseURI /var/www/html/redmine RailsEnv production </Location> now i got this error Further information about the error may have been written to the application's log file. Please check it in order to analyse the problem. Error message: No such file or directory - config/environment.rb Exception class: Errno::ENOENT Application root: /var/www/html Where have I gone wrong?

  • Windows7 NFS with linux server

    Hi. I have an Ubuntu server and want to access its web folder (/var/www). What I done: installed nfs-kernel-server, nfs-common and portmap (as in faq) Setted up /etc/exports: /var/www 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_roow_squash,async,subtree_check) Then: sudo exportfs -ra Then: sudo /etc/init.d/nfs-kernle-server restart I checked, if all works on same machine: sudo 192.168.1.101:/var/www /mnt/test Then accessed /mnt/test and seen that all data present and all ok. Next, I tried to connect this folder to windows7 using NFS client: First, I checked, that linux exported path successfully: showmount -e 192.168.1.101 /var/www 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 All ok, go to mount: mount -o anon 192.168.1.101:/var/www z: Console said, that all success.. but. I cant access drive Z (drive exists in the system and point to right folder). When I try to access drive Z my Explorer just going to sleep and then say that timeout expired. Help me please.

  • Pay Per Click Software

    What software do sites like www.shopzilla.com, www.become.com, www.kelkoo.com etc.. use for the Pay-Per-Click product listing campaigns they offer for their retailers. I am asking what kind of software do they use to know that a certain retailer's products has been clicked 50 times or 100 times(and then the cost of the click is deducted from his money-account) etc... Can someone point me to those kind of softwares? EDIT *Some Explanation :: * In a site like www.shopzilla.com, retailers will upload thier products(list their products on the site). Anytime a buyer clicks on a product to go the retailer's website, an amount of money(say $0.20) is deducted from his account(the money he has deposited in his account with shopzilla). A retailer can see how many times buyers have clicked on his products and how much money remains in his shopzilla accounts. Am looking for such softwares that comparison sites like shopzilla uses to run this type of campaigns. I hope it is clear now.

I am now trying to configure the ssl.conf file, can I use name-based vhosts in my ssl.conf file like this: NameVirtualHost *:443 <VirtualHost *:443 ServerName foo.com ServerAlias www.foo.com ... Include conf.d/foo.conf </VirtualHost <VirtualHost *:443 ServerName bar.com ServerAlias www.bar.com ... Include conf.d/bar.conf </VirtualHost or do I need IP based vhosts? If this is possible, what kind of cert would I need in order to do this?

  • Permission settings for apache2 web content directories with several users?

    Hi there. I've got a Debian VPS set up with a LAMP-stack. My apache2 instance runs on the user account 'www-data'. In addition to the root account and the service accounts I have several user accounts belonging to friends, family and myself that includes FTP-access. This is to allow the users to drop files to the root of their domain which is located in their home folder. I am having issues with setting the correct permissions so that Apache is able to serve the content ("403 Forbidden"). I could just do a 'chmod -R 755 *' on the entire www-directory for each domain, but from what I gather that's not a good idea. Here's an example of the structure: apache2 is run by 'www-data' User 'john' has this home folder structure /home/john/domains/somedomain.com/www /home/john/domains/sub.somedomain.com/www How can I keep things safe while still allowing users to upload content via FTP, and allow for file-uploads in lets say Wordpress?

    I have a meteor application running on port 3000. I can successfully connect to the program with www.myurl.com:3000, but would rather connect to it via www.myurl.com/myappname. I started with the instructions on this web site: http://www.andrehonsberg.com/article/deploy-meteorjs-vhosts-ubuntu1204-mongodb-apache-proxy and I have the following Apache configuration file: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName myurl.com ProxyRequests off <Proxy *> Order deny,allow Allow from all </Proxy> <Location /> ProxyPass http://localhost:3000/ ProxyPassReverse http://localhost:3000/ </Location> </VirtualHost> I do not know how to continue from here to get the program on www.mysite.com/myapp. In other situations, I would use an Alias within the Apache configuration file, but that doesn't seem like the right direction to go in this case. How do I configure Apache to send port 3000 to www.myurl.com/myapp?

  • rewrite rule does not rewrite url as expected

    I have a problem with a CMS website, that normally generates readable urls. Sometimes it happens that navigation links are shown as www.domain.com/22, which results in an error, instead of www.domain.com/contact. I have not found a solution for this yet, but the page is working if the url is www.domain.com/index.php?id=22. Therefore, I'm trying to rewrite www.domain.com/22 to www.domain.com/index.php?id=22 and I have used this rewrite rule: RewriteRule ^([1-9][0-9]*)$ index.php?id=$1 [NC] I tested it using http://htaccess.madewithlove.be and here it shows the correct result, but on the website no rewrite is happening.

  • Huge google impression drop after cleaning html

    Good morning, I am the webmaster of a non-profit organization that donates grants to colorectal cancer research projects and funds various colorectal cancer information campaigns. We have three domains: www.fundacioolgatorres dot org (Catalan) www.fundacionolgatorres dot org (Spanish) www.olgatorresfoundation dot org (English) So what happened? I redesigned olgatorresfoundation on the 20th and the fundacionolgatorres on the 30th of May. In both cases, exactly two days later, the number of impressions on both dropped to a halt. Granted, we did not have the traffic of Microsoft, but a 90% decrease a disaster of incredible proportions for us. My only real changes were cleaning up the old ineffective HTML to a cleaner form (mostly moving away from redundant table construction to a table-less view). Here is a before and after snapshot of what the change looks like: Before: http://www.fundacioolgatorres.org/aparell_digestiu/introduccio/ (unchanged page in Catalan) After: http://www.olgatorresfoundation.org/digestive_system/introduction/ (changed page in English) Anybody has a clue to what just happened? Why should a normal, sane html improvement be punished and so dramatically? No URLs have been changed, neither have page names or descriptions. Possible secondary question: If it is so that Google sees it as a major overhaul and decides to drop the pagerank sharply, does it come back to pre-change levels if the content "checks out" or will the page start over from scratch earning those pagerank points (which would mean that we would have to wait 6 months for the pages to recover to the level they had two weeks ago)?   • Showing schema.org aggregate rating in Google rich snippets

    After adding schema.org microdata markup for reviews and aggregate ratings, I expected review and rating information to show up in rich snippets. Unfortunately, neither are being shown. Google's Structured Data Testing Tool finds the microdata, and there're no errors or warnings on the page. Any idea what's wrong with the microdata markup?
