    Hi guys, I've got this table CREATE TABLE `subevents` ( `id` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `title` varchar(150) DEFAULT NULL, `content` text, `class` tinyint(4) NOT NULL DEFAULT '1', PRIMARY KEY (`id`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM Each row can have a different value in the 'class' field. I'd like to select any number of rows, ordered randomly, as long as the sum of the values in the 'class' field is equal to 100. How could I accomplish it directly in the MySQL query without doing it later in PHP? Thanks everybody!

    I'm parsing Xml data which has entries like this: <item name="UserText" type_name="gh_string" type_code="10"> </item> I'm supposed to read the 6 spaces as a String, but both the InnerText and InnerXml values of the System.Xml.XmlNode are zero length Strings. Is there any way I can get at this whitespace data in existing files and what do I need to do in the future to prevent this sort of screw up?

Is it possible somehow with jQuery to find the common elements and add a class to the divs in #set1 that have the same id with divs in #set2? (In this case, the array used in the second option doesn't alreay exist.)

    I'm working on a program from my C++ textbook, and this this the first time I've really run into trouble. I just can't seem to see what is wrong here. Visual Studio is telling me Error: identifier "string" is undefined. I separated the program into three files. A header file for the class specification, a .cpp file for the class implementation and the main program file. These are the instructions from my book: Write a class named Car that has the following member variables: year. An int that holds the car's model year. make. A string that holds the make of the car. speed. An int that holds the car's current speed. In addition, the class should have the following member functions. Constructor. The constructor should accept the car's year and make as arguments and assign these values to the object's year and make member variables. The constructor should initialize the speed member variable to 0. Accessors. Appropriate accessor functions should be created to allow values to be retrieved from an object's year, make and speed member variables. There are more instructions, but they are not necessary to get this part to work. My output is unexpected. The array mysteriously grows in size, in between. If you change the code so that the variable sizeOfInput is changed to sizeOfInputt, it gives the expected results! A search done at Microsoft Visual C++ Developer Center doesn't give any results for "sizeOfInput". I am not a C/C++ expert, and am curious to find out why this happens - any C/C++ experts who can "shed some light" on this? Unrelated note: I seriously thought of rewriting the whole code to use quicksort or merge sort before posting it here. But, after all, it is not Stooge sort...

One source gives me the following info(programmatically): 'a = 2' The second source gives me this expression to evaluate: 'a + 3' This works: a = 2 eval 'a + 3' This also works: eval 'a = 2; a + 3' But what I really need is this, and it doesn't work: eval 'a = 2' eval 'a + 3' I would like to understand the difference, and how can I make the last option work.     I am using the .eq() method to select a specific child element of a known element. It appears that the element indices are different in IE and in Chrome/FF, as .eq(2) returns different values depending on browser. (The element I'm looking for shows up as .eq(2) in FF/Chrome, but .eq(3) in IE) For example, alert($(this).parent().children().eq(2).text()); shows different results depending on the browser. Is there a better way of doing this?
