• Strange Behaviour WPF TreeView ItemContainerStyle and ItemTemplate

  I just noticed some strange behaviour of WPF's TreeView. I added both ItemContainerStyle to bind to "IsSelected" of my ViewModel and an ItemsTemplated for custom display of my data. But now the user cannot change the selected node anymore. For testing purposes I created a similar UI using ListView and Expander. This version works as excepted. • ExtJS: remove a grid from a tabpanel when its underlying store is empty

  Hi, I have TabPanel which contains, among other things, a Grid connected to a Store. Several events may remove elements from the store. I would like the Grid to be removed from the TabPanel when the store is empty and, possibly, to have a single place in my code to check for this event. I thought about using store listeners, but unfortunately this causes exceptions in Ext code. My assumption is that this happens because rendering is performed on the grid after this is removed from the tabpanel. Any idea on how to accomplish such a task without messing up Ext is much appreciated. • Problem interfacing GSM USB modem to Java application

  I am working on an open-source application called FrontlineSMS which can be interfaced with GSM modems to send and receive SMS. The windows installer that is available through their website works fine. Since i wanted to modify it, I got the source code and built the jar and tried to launch it. When I plug in the GSM modem and launch the application, it sometimes detects the GSM device and i am even able to send and receive SMS. Or else 1.)   i am working with spring frame work. Problem is that on forgot password jsp page when i enter the right name or email address the funtion send a mail to the user. • UISearchBar and UINavigationItem

  I can't seem to get a UISearchBar to position itself from the far left to the far right in the navigation bar. In the -(void)viewDidLoad method, I have the following code: `UISearchBar *sb = [[UISearchBar alloc] initWithFrame:self.tableView.tableHeaderView.frame]; sb.delegate = self; self.navigationItem.titleView = sb; [sb sizeToFit]; [sb release];` When you build and run, it looks just fine at first glance. However, looking more closely, you can tell there is a margin/space on the left. This wouldn't be a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but when I tap the search bar to start a search, I animate the cancel button into view. Because the search bar is positioned slightly to the right, the animation is jerky and the cancel button falls off the end like so: link text It seems as if the UINavigationItem is like a table with three cells, where there is a padding on the first and last which I can't remove - nor does there seem to be a way to 'merge' it all together and then place the search bar there. I know this look is possible, because the AppStore search has a search bar in the navigation bar and it goes all the way to the edges. Anyone know how to get the search bar to go all the way to the edges so my slide-in cancel button animation will work properly?

  I have a WPF app in VS2008 that compiles twice during the build. The two CSC command lines are similar but with some differences. The first CSC command line does not have an /resource options, the second has two /resource options on the command line.   Hallo, I have a problem. I'am trying to get some data from my database. But with a limit. So i use the selectLimit command.   Hi, I have several movies that are played and presented using this code. As you can see I also have removed the default movie controls and have added a custom overlay which essentially just stops the video. Here is my problem... When I stop the movie with my custom overlay button, I don't seem to be getting the 'MPMoviePlayerPlaybackDidFinishNotification' Note: everything works normal if I let the movie play through and it stop by itself. Is the any way of 'forcing' the PlaybackDidFinish notification? Can I do something like this [self moviePlayBackDidFinish:something]; ? • "Does not make sense to draw an image" - Warning after upgrade to MountainLion

  After I upgraded my programming machine to MountainLion and XCode to the new version I get this warning printed into the console everytime I run my application: It does not make sense to draw an image when [NSGraphicsContext currentContext] is nil. This is a programming error. Break on void _NSWarnForDrawingImageWithNoCurrentContext() to debug. This will be logged only once. This may break in the future. I'm not using an Image anywhere in my Application and I searched the whole project for an image but couldn't find one. Does anybody know what could cause this? I'm using 2 nib files btw: One Popover and the Mainwindow. Neither of them contains an image. Edit: I found the line when this appears: [self.popover showRelativeToRect:[appDelegate.menulet frame] ofView:appDelegate.menulet preferredEdge:NSMinYEdge]; But none of those object is nil. Any suggestions? Edit 2: The Menulet is a NSView subclass btw. So I'm passing a view.

  I'm relatively new to iPhone Development, so this may be my fault, but it goes against what I've seen. :) I think that I'm creating a UIAlertView that lives just in this vaccuum of the 'if' statement. That makes the retain count 0, but I still show a leak. And if it helps, the leak's Responsible Frame is UIKeyboardInputManagerClassForInputMode. I'm also using OS 4 Beta 3. So anyone have any ideas how a local UIAlertView's retain count would increment itself by 5 when calling -show? Thanks for your help!

  When converting PDF Pages into UIImages I receive memory warnings all the time. It seems there is either some leak or something else that eats my memory. Using instruments didn't give me any helpful details. Notice that it's facetted according to Alarm and that the facets are arranged alphabetically. Two Questions: How can I can I keep it facetted by alarm but displayed in the correct order? (Rank asc, Alarm asc). Also, how can I keep it facetted by alarm but show labels from Rank instead of Alarm? Note that I can't just facet on Rank because ggplot2 would see only 3 facets to plot where there are really 4 different alarms. Thanks kindly for the help! Tommy

• UIViewAnimationTransitionCurlUp in landscape mode transitioning right-to-left

  I have a view controller that is showing in portrait mode. When you touch the "menu" button, it calls the code below and it flips up to the MainMenu controller. Is this a limitation of the animation, or am I missing something?

The provisions look in order, and the app builds to my iphone 3gs just fine. The app used to build just fine to my ipod touch, so I'm flustered what could have changed and wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what might be causing this issue. The build logs are below. Due to black being transparent color now (kinda stupid choice, why couldn't it be pink) anything that is clBlack becomes transparent, too. It means all labels, edits, button texts... even if I set text to some other color at design time, DWM still makes them that color AND transparent. Well, my question would be - whether it's possible to solve this somehow?

• Slow Performance -- ASP .NET ASPNET_WP.EXE and CSC.EXE Running After Clicking Redirect Link

  I click on a link from one page that does a redirect to another page (Response.Redirect(page.aspx)). The browser churns for about 30 seconds and the page displays. I'm trying to track down why it takes so long to load the page. The page hosts two other custom controls. I have commented out the lines of code for each and both controls, and the page still takes about 30 seconds to load. I've set breakpoints on the Page_Load event for each of the controls as well as page.aspx and it also takes about 30 seconds from clicking the link with the Response.Redirect to the first break point. I loaded up task manager and clicked on the link. I notice aspnet_wp.exe and csc.exe run during this 30 second time frame. I'm wondering if there are some sort of code-behind shinanigans going on while I'm waiting for the page to load. This only occurs the first time I click on the link. Afterwards, it's not as slow. I've googled but there's not a lot of useful information about this. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, ---Dan---

• wpf cancel backgroundworker on application exits

  Hi! In my application I have a main windows and into it, in a frame I load a page. This page do a long time task when the user press a button. My problem is that when long task is being doing and the user presses the close button of the main window, the application seems to not finish because I am debugging it in VS2008 and I can see the stop button highlighted. If I want to finish I have to press stop button, the application doesn't stop the debugging automatically on application exit. I thought .NET stops automatically backgroundworkers on application exits but I am not sure after seeing this behaviour. I have tried to force and cancel background worker in unloaded event page with something like this: private void Page_Unloaded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { // Is the Background Worker do some work? if (My_BgWorker != null && My_BgWorker.IsBusy) { //If it supports cancellation, Cancel It if (My_BgWorker.WorkerSupportsCancellation) { // Tell the Background Worker to stop working. My_BgWorker.CancelAsync(); } } } but with no success. After doing CancelAsync(), a few minutes after, I can see the backgroundworker finishes and raise RunWorkerCompleted and I can see the task is completed checking e.Cancelled argument in the event but after this event is exectued the application continues without exiting and I have no idea what is doing.... I set WorkerSupportsCancellation to true to support cancel at the begining. I would apreciate all answers. Thanks.
