  • How do I simulate a progress counter in a command line application in Python?

    My Python program does a series of things and prints some diagnostic output. I would also like to have a progress counter like this: Percentage done: 25% where the number increases "in place". If I use only string statements I can write separate numbers, but that would clutter the screen. Is there some way to achieve this, for example using some escape char for backspace in order to clear a number and write the next one? Thanks

  • Android setContentView operation

    I've read that it's important to call setContentView() early in an activity since it builds the view objects that may be manipulated by subsequent code in onCreate(). In terms of lifecycle, does the view get drawn to screen as soon as setContentView() is called, or does it allow the onCreate() function to build/populate the information in the view objects, and wait to actually draw it after onCreate() completes?     VB6 & SQL Server 2005 When i run the Windows based Software exe file, it is showing the login page, after login page - no screen is displaying, I checked the task manager, in task manager it is showing as software as running, But there is no page is appearing. Is any firewall blocking or some other issue. But software is running with out displaying anythings. How to solve this issue?

  • .NET: How to place my window near the notification area (systray)?

    I'd like to display a little popup window next to the notification area. It's similar to what Outlook/Skype/Live! Messenger/etc does when it displays the notification about a new message. In my case it will have some input controls (textbox, datetimepicker, buttons...) so a simple bubble won't do. The trick is doing this correctly when the user has multiple monitors and/or the taskbar is not located at the bottom of the screen.

I want to try to avoid code like this: if (order is Order) SetupScreenForOrder(); if (order is Quote) SetupScreenForQuote(); But maintaining two screens is not good either. If I create some common interface between a Quote and Order then how do you deal with fields like OrderNumber or QuoteDate? What's the best way to handle this?

All im trying to do is capture screen from iPhone camera on 3g mobile and sending them to server .. but want some time efficient approach for sending to server and capturing image sequences ... its like i want to send 15 images / second to server in one single go :P i've set up server with FFMPEG and other codecs so their is no issue in generation of live video / stream .... I can't seem to replicate it myself, all I can get is the default, where the cell deselects as soon as the user moves their finger.

    Hello, I have some text in a web browser on my form in visual studio, this form is going to be displayed on a big screen and it's content need to be mirrored(flipped) in order to be seen on the other place through mirror.
