Wired and Wireless Network Duplication

Howdy! Running into an issue when some of our client's have their laptop's connected via the wired ethernet network aswell as on the WLAN of the same network. There is know issues caused to the end clients.. BUT! Being a Managed Services Engineer i get pretty over the alerts that come through on our reports for machine's with the same hostname on the same network! We are not going to remove this monitoring because it does help a lot with detecting and stopping inferior users and things like that. So basically.. Question is, is there a way in Windows (third party programs welcome) to disable the wireless network when a wired network is connected and operational.. I know that Windows automticaly 'prefers' the wired network, however they are still both connected and therfore there is duplicate hostnames on the same network. Could also have stupid issues with DNS and things like that! Thanks!

Should I really use a UITableView in this situation?

Imagine you have a view like this: At the top, there is an UISegmentedControl with two segments. It functions like a tab. Pressing one segment will activate this particular content below that UISegmentedControl. Below the UISegmentedControl are some switches. These modify the way how the content should be rendered. And finally, below those switches, there's a table. Imagine a table not in sense of UITableView, but just what it really is: A table. It shows little messages like twitter messages or chat messages for example, one below the other. Like you know it from skype and other chats. Basically they're just rows with some formatting. A label, some image views, some lines, a background. Pretty basic. The data comes from an array. No core data. The whole thing including the segmented control and setup switches must be scrollable. So what I did is: I put all this stuff in an UIScrollView. Now I have to make the decision if I would use a UITableView inside there for that table part, or if I would just print a lot of rows on to the scroll view (with -drawRect:). But some problems stick in my head: Can I put a UITableView inside a UIScrollView? I assume this makes a lot of problems. I don't want that the table part is separately scrollable. Again imagine that view: First there are some basic choice things (segmented control, switches). Then there comes the table. When you scroll, the whole thing scrolls. That's mainly because this first part with the settings can be pretty big, so you would want to scroll it away. The next thing is: Can I customize UITableView in such a way, that it consists of two parts? One for that settings part, and one for the actual data to display?

Emailing a fixed document through Outlook

I've added functionality to an application that prints out a bunch of information to a FixedDOcument and sends this off to the printer. This works just fine, however the request is that there be an in application function that emails the document using OUtlook and its here that I come unstuck. I'd very much like to just reuse the class that makes the fixed document for printing to generate the text for email, but I'm struggling to do this. I've tried the following... Note that the content is all textual, so I don't really care if it gets sent as an attachment or as text in the emails body. Ideally if its sent as an attachment it won't be saved anywhere permanently. Any pointers?

wpautop() - when shortcode attributes are on new lines -breaks args array

I have a custom shortcode tag with a few attributes, and I would like to be able to display its attributes on new lines - to make it more readable to content editors: [component attr1 ="value1" attr2 ="value of the second one" attr3 ="another" attr4 ="value" ... attrN ="valueN"] The reason behind this requirement is that a few attributes might be quite verbose in content. Unfortunately, wpautop() adds some nasty extra markup that breaks the args array like this (using php print_r($args)): Array ( [0] => attr1 [1] => ="value1" /> [3] => attr2 = [4] => "value [5] => of [6] => the [7] => second [8] => one" /> [10] => "" //...and more like this) I've tried with the attributes inline: [component attr1 ="value1" attr2 ="value of the second one" ="value"... attrN ="valueN"] and the output is as expected: Array ( [attr1] => value1 [attr2] => value of the second one [attr3] => //...and so on) is there any way to have the attributes intented and avoid that extra markup that breaks the $args array?

Possible Duplicate: Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. I have recently installed Windows Pro SP2. Whenevr I try to run any .exe file I get the following error: Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may have not the appropriate permissions to access theXP item. I read some where that if we right click on the file and in Properties-Security click the unblock option, this problem is solved but this is not working for me as I dont get Security tab in Properties.Please help!! Due to this I am not able to install any software in my computer.

How to achieve in-folder discussions with IMAP (skip SMTP send, Thunderbird)?

Does anyone know a good way to achieve replying to a message into the same IMAP folder without sending another duplicate copy over SMTP? This is to be achieved with a conventional GUI mail client, especially Thunderbird. Goal is to have an in-folder conversation. This is possible with shared IMAP folders, with per-user Seen indices, where subscribed recipients are guaranteed to see the new messages without them arriving from internet. Thunderbird is capable of storing a copy of a reply in the same folder as original message (Account Options), which is half way there. Just pressing Save sends the message into Drafts and that is probably an even bigger patch to try to put a "draft message" into the same folder as original. All options, client, server or logic-wise are an acceptable answer, including programming i.e. patching/creating add-on for Thunderbird.

JavaScript: Replacement for XMLSerializer.seralizeToString()?

I'm developing a website using the Seam framework and the RichFaces AJAX library (these isn't really all that important to the problem at hand - just some background). I seem to have uncovered a bug, however, in RichFaces which, in certain instances, will cause AJAX-based updating to fail in IE8 (see here for more info: http://community.jboss.org/message/585737). Installing old version of mysql

I'm trying to troubleshoot a database import problem and want to duplicate the environment onto another server. This will require installing an older version of mysql, but the packages that are listed are only showing a recent version. I'm currently running debian wheezy 7.1 and what was installed was the packaged 5.5.31. What is the official way to install an older copy? I guess I could hunt around Google and hope to find some files of the same version to install from source, but this doesn't seem like a reliable method.

I need to centre align a horizontal menu. I've tried various solutions, including the mix of inline-block / block / center-align etc., but not being successful. What CSS do I need to make my site more responsive?

My site is: http://library.skybundle.com I feel like I almost have a responsive site. I did all the CSS styling myself. It is a Wordpress site but I completely edited the CSS of the original theme, so it is night-and-day different than it used to be. The original theme was mostly just for a canvas for me to work with, since I am not an expert in PHP and we wanted a Wordpress site for easy editing later on. Thanks to stackoverflow, I now have a footer that sticks to the bottom of every page and everything mostly looks good -- the way we want it anyway. The only thing missing now is the we want browser windows on MOBILE devices, such as on an iPhone, to automatically adjust the layout of the content in the body (wrapper). For example, on the main page (library.skybundle.com), I would like those two big icons two become vertically aligned as soon as the browser window sizes to a small, mostly vertical size, like that of a mobile phone. Take this site, for example: http://freedomsoundproductions.securesb.net/ This is what we would like it to do. So one a page with a sidebar, the content to the right of the sidebar should basically jump into the same "column" as the left sidebar and form one single long column. Just like in the example site above. This should all be possible via CSS. People in other forums seem to want me to use jQuery and stuff, but I can only use CSS, and I know that this must be possible without having to resort to jQuery, HTML, or other code.

(Each of the span3 is suppose to contain a product photo, name, price, etc.) Of course, my aim is that be responsive. So, I might display 20 products, which I'd like to possibly display 5 products per "row" on a wide screen, then 4 products per "row" on a slightly less wide screen, then 3, then 2, then 1. However, if I do that, then I'll only be able to fit a certain amount of products in each nested row. Launching and Intent from file and mime type

I've reviewed all the similar questions here, but I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong. I've written an application that tries to launch various files, sort of a file browser, when a file is clicked it tries to launch the program based on it's associated MIME type or I want it to present the "Choose Application to Launch" dialog. Here's the code I'm using to launch: File file = new File(app.mediaPath() + "/" +_mediaFiles.get(position)); Intent myIntent = new Intent(android.content.Intent.ACTION_VIEW); String extension = android.webkit.MimeTypeMap.getFileExtensionFromUrl(Uri.fromFile(file).toString()); String mimetype = android.webkit.MimeTypeMap.getSingleton().getMimeTypeFromExtension(extension); myIntent.setDataAndType(Uri.fromFile(file),mimetype); startActivity(myIntent); This fails and generates a: android.content.ActivityNotFoundException: No Activity found to handle Intent { act=android.intent.action.VIEW dat=file:///file:/mnt/sdcard/roms/nes/Baseball_simulator.nes } Now if I install OI File Manager for instance, it opens instead of this error being thrown, and then if I click the same file from within in it, it launches the approriate dialogs. I have noticed that the MIME type for that particular file fails, but other mime types like .zip do return values. Am I missing something that when the MIME type is null to call a dialog that lets the user select? I've tried other variations of launching the app, including not setting the mime type and only using .setData with no success. The action I want to happen is, a user clicks a file, if it's associated with an application that app launches, if not, the user gets the "Complete action using" dialog with a list of apps. Hide div based on url

Sorry if this is another repost. I have been attempting to find a solution but nothing works that I have tried. I am using a blog which I have full html control over. I can usually find my way around basic html but when it comes to Java or CSS I am a complete newb. Sorry, I know absolutely nothing. Now that that is out of the way. I have two sidebar div's that I am trying to hide on one specific url to utilize more space for a content iframe. Making a Delete and Reply button in Jquery

this is my second post on the website. Of all other sites i tried, this one gave the most accurate and useful information! I'm in a bit of a trouble with buttons, i have a task to make an inbox and to add a "reply" and "delete" button into every instance of the message. I was indeed wandering if there is a better way to do that than forcing the HTML code into the script, because every message is dynamically generated. Hi. I have a tabbed setup on the page and I want to automatically make corresponding menu tab highlighted as well as corresponding content div show depending on # hash. A stupid question about wordpress and php

It may seem stupid question, but i've a serious problem... if you could check out orcik.net the thumbnail images does not appear. Possible Duplicate: Anyone else experiencing high rates of Linux server crashes during a leap second day? The process ksoftirqd/0 uses permanent 15% CPU on our debian squeeze server. 4 root 20 0 0 0 0 R 15.0 0.0 850:59.17 ksoftirqd/0 I already read that this can have various reason like Full harddisk or high network traffic. In our case we do have more or less low network traffic and enough space on hard disk. How can I analyse what causes ksoftirqd/0 to use permanently 15% CPU?

sites now not responding on port 80 [closed]

Possible Duplicate: unable to connect site to different port I was trying to resolve an issue with getting a site running on a different port: unable to connect site to different port But somehow it took out all my other sites. Now even the ones that were responding on port 80 are no longe responding, even though I did not touch the virtual hosts for them. I get this message now: Oops!
